  • r.i.p. SFC Lyle Zahorsky. a.k.a. Sgt. Z

  • Powerful video. Thank you for serving. We, in our cushy lives...have no clue......again, thank you for serving our country.

  • Great Video. About his time I was callingBranch, because I lost a damned good Zippo over there in 90-91. Got told I was too damned old.... Unfortunatly the whipper snapper of an E-7 was right

  • Nice video. Brings back memories. I was one of your medics in 1/3 HHT but I was attached to ADA for the 2003 tour. Seeing Col Dolan was a nice touch as well. Iraq was a definate stressful time but I would never want to do it in any other unit besides tiger squadron.

  • i have never looked back since I left. Video brings back memories. Served in crazy troop. Hardest thing about looking back is all the faces you grew close to and now it is all but a distant memory. Pooh if ur out there ur boy cruz says whats up. Miss u man. SGT Perez, Sgt. Montenero, SFC Smith, SSG Middleton, Willie, Garcia, Weedman, Deleon, Parze miss all of yall Cruz aka "the goat" bahhhhhh!!!

  • I was there. March 2004- March 2005. I miss it. Plain and simple.

  • i was born 10 km or more from first picture ::D

  • THEY JUST SENT MY 26 TEAR OLD NEPHEW BACK IN A BODY BAG.IT WAS HIS 3RD TOUR.2 IN IRAG AND THIS LAST ONE IN AFGHANISTAN.HE SERVED HIS COUNTRY,THAT WAS WHAT HE WANTED,HE WAS GOING TO B A CAREER MILITARY MARINE.HIS 2 BROTHERS MADE IT BACK SAFE BUT HE DIDN'T AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN SAY TO MY SISTER(HIS MOM) TO MAKE IT OK. IT IS A VERY SAD TIME FOR US.HIS NAME WAS BRIAN GARRISON FROM JERSEY. MY YOUNGEST NEPHEW THAT DID MAKE IT,IS NOT THE SAME

ALL HE TALKS ABOUT IS GOING BACK.

  • I remember that like it was yesterday!!

  • how u guys manage to tip the bradley?

  • @colinpowell65 The driver didn't see the turn in the road and wee went down an embankment.

  • @colinpowell65 It was our platoon sergeant's track and 1 of the drive shaft seized, caused it to flip while going the down road 40 MPH

  • I miss the old Bandit troop

  • @neely7921 I'll never forget that stuff..... I don't want to forget it either.

  • @RadioReporter01

Do you think that the 100,000 Kurds systamatically put to death by your so called locals (just opposed to raping and lootings) would share your sentiments??

That the Kurds who suffered from an estimated 40 chemical attacks would tell us to leave Sadam in power? I dont know what your standards of acceptable behavior are derived of , but most of the population of Earth would call genocide bad behavior.

  • The LTC at 1:58 looks like Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now. Very cool video.

  • I remember being in his psd team, a true leader!

  • RadioReporter01 If you dont like this country or its military get the fuck out. you wouldnt say this shit to a soldiers face just behind the comfort and safety of your computer right? cuase im a 3 time iraq war vet and if you said that shit to me i would beat 7 shades of shit out of your pathetic ass

  • @Garrett10124

He has the replies to his comments on approval.

I wanted him to tell me if the 100,000 Kurds systamatically killed by these locals would share his sentiments.

  • Funny. You survived Iraq but comments are pending approval....

  • Kicking the ass of "insurgents" who are nothing more than the locals objecting to foreign invaders coming in under false pretenses and raping, looting and just basically destroying the country at the behest of the corporate rulers you are slaves of.

Every time you "dished out more than you took", you created a new class of insurgents. And I don't blame them. You pull the shit you pull in Iraq in NYC and I'd be trying to blow your ass up too.

Don't tell me you were fighting for my freedom....

  • @RadioReporter01 Wow! That was you standing there on the corner in Iraq while I was there doing my job? Don't think so...We need more experts like you to take a look at a television screen and determine why insurgents do what they do. That is a hell of a talent you have.

  • @RadioReporter01 what a load of bollocks

  • @RadioReporter01

Hmmm corporate rulers huh?? Insurgents nothing more then locals objecting to invaders raping and looting??

I wonder if the Kurds fealt the same way when these locals so opposed to raping and looting were indiscriminately killing them. when their villages are attacked with poisonous gas. it is estimated that at least 40 such chemical attacks took place. The systamatic killing of the Kurds caused the death of an estimated 100,000 people. Including women and children

  • Easy to turn over those damm bradleys, almost did it in Ft.Knox!!! I was in the 1st Desert strorm, thank you for those excellent tank shots, how did you like your M1A1 ? Luvvv that tank, Tankers Rule the battlefield. Thank you for your service also..

  • @usmctanks1 I had alot of good times over the years riding around in tanks. Being in a tank during a firefight saved my life more than once. They wouldn't let me bring it home after the war because it had too many holes in it! lol

  • Now if you went into Burma and rescued the Nobel peace prize winner who won the election but is under house arrest by the military and had a number of her supporters killed, I would say you are a force for good.

Hell, I might even lead that mission. Something I believe in

  • @RadioReporter01 If the President told us to do it.... we would do it. That's how it works. We wouldn't have much of an Army if we got to pick and choose which missions we ran.

  • BTW, that slap broke a rib which was re

    broken 2 years later.

I'm not in a war zone, I shouldn't suffer such attacks as a reporter, but I do. I'm involved in the 7th case right now. I'll be sending those cops to jail for perjury

Just what was it you were fighting for again? My freedom? Freedom of the press?

    Sure ya are sparky.....

  • @RadioReporter01 wouldn't it suck if you couldn't do a damn thing about the cops that allegedly slapped you around? Sounds to me like you are using some of that freedom you have to excercise your rights. Would you rather be trying to do your reporter thing in a communist country? I wonder how successful that would be for you. Last time I checked.... it's legal for you to pick one and move there.

  • @mrfixit853

I think you need to move for being so disrespectful to an American such as myself, who is fighting criminals so you won't have to die.

You show such little respect for me, one whose family fought in the American Revolution so you could be born and join the army and help the corporations and the Zionists plunder the world.

You've been used and discarded kid, wise up....

  • what u do to thoes tanks and humvees/hmmwvs?

  • thank you so much for what you have done and what you will do for this country, amazing video, and come home safe..........God bless the USA

  • @mac11guy

Whoa Whoa Whoa. You weren't in service to the country, you were in service to the corporations.

If you were insuring my safety as an American, you'd be out on the street with me, protecting me from 22 year old NYPD officers that should be in grade school, not given a weapon and a badge

Let's just get that clear, the same people sending you off to die are the same ones saying it's OK for NYPD punks to slap the news guy

  • I really think you live on a different planet than the people who are willing to put thier life on the line for what they believe in. I'm sorry the news guy got slapped... I hope it didn't hurt him too much.

  • @mrfixit853

I've put m,y life on the line for 30 years taking news pics in NYC in the worst areas, unarmed.

The biggest terrorists are the ones with the uniform, the NYPD. They can beat you, arrest you, kill you but you can't raise a hand to them.

Ive been beaten and arrested 7 times in a 30 year career, the cops bring charges but never show in court. Of course they don't let me bring charges.

Hard to respond to you since you didn't post my comment. What you believe in is bullshit

  • @mrfixit853

I live in reality. You've been used by the corporations but you see it as a mission for America.

And they broke the news guy's rib. He was fighting a terrorist crew, the NYPD

  • @mrfixit853

It broke a rib that later was re-broken, just in time for Christmas.

You may believe what you wish, doesn't make it true. If bin Laden really toppled the WTC, why haven't you caught him yet?

And why are you in Iraq? It had nothing to do with WTC. The hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Or so goes the official story.

Really it was the Zionists in Israel looking to make it look like Arabs. That's who you are fighting for.

Believe it, they want you in Iran next....

  • @mac11guy

Explain to me just what he did in Iraq to serve his country?

He survived only to come home to be afraid of my comments.

He doesn't post all I've said. He doesn't want what I say to be heard, but he doesn't know this is the second time around for me.

After the first Gulf war they were hi fiving on the corner. When I told them they just killed 700 women and children with a bunker buster, they accused me of being a war protester in the Viet era.

  • sweet video i will be joining the mariens sood

  • @linx12345678910

I think you need to be able to spell "Marines" as they have some standards (I think) (I hope)

  • @RadioReporter01 we have standards lol

  • fancy hair cuts and sunglasses dont make good soldiers

  • @alexpoy98 If that's all you see when you watched the video.... maybe you should avoid serving your country.

  • dont worry about me ,. i dont serve USA

  • @mrfixit853...lol how did you guys manage to turn that bradley on its side?

  • In the daylight one, I believe it was being towed behind another bradley and the towbar broke. We had two turn over. I was riding in the back of the other one during a night mission. The driver went down an embankment at a turn in the road. That's what we get for sneaking around with no lights I guess.

  • oh lol we've fliped hummers before but no bradleys

  • the marines may be rated as the strongest and toughest, but you guys have the brains and the guts to be able to go in first to the hell of battle and still come out alive. also not only that you continue on the front lines never stopping and so you all can definitly realate to this quote

"The only easy day was yesterday."

  • great vid bro. thank u for all u have done and i hope in about a years time to be doing the same just for the canadian forces.. FUCK YES MARINESSS would love to be one

  • Hey God Bless you guys ... not as great as the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.... but hey ... we can't help being the best.. crack on guys

  • We take so many things for granted when we have it easy. A deep and sincere Thank You, to all the men and women of the Armed Forces and also to the families of the Fallen or MIA!! By the way, great vid!!

  • @gabe1377

I don't take anything for granted and just because I'm American I don't have it easy.

What am I thanking the armed forces for? Raping and pillaging and making more terrorists?

Times Square bombing was about Americas actions in the Mideast.

Thanks for that, I'm sure there will be others.

  • great video. i was there, saw most of it fist hand. Great compilation.

  • @cmac490 IT WAS HARD 4 ME TO WATCH BEING MY NEPHEW WAS JUST SENT HOME IN A BODY BAG ,IT IS STILL NOT REAL AND A VERY HARD TIME FOR MY FAMILY.HE WAS A MARINE HE NEVER QUIT AND IN THE END HE PUT HIS SQUAD TO SAFETY AND LOST HIS LIFE 26 YEARS OLD 3RD TOU US MARINES.

  • "A nation that prefers disgrace to danger is prepared for a master. And deserves one!" Ronald Reagan, RNC 1964. I thank God that not every American has crawled beneath a hole in abject surrender. These brave men deserve our praise and I will be damned to see America fall to communism and tyranny while these brave men kick ass and take names in order to preserve our way of life. We do it better than everyone else and do it in style. We do not appease dictators, we do not cave in!

  • since when has america been threatened by communism? the men and women in iraq are doing and have done a great job, but they are only there because bush invaded for oil. the sooner they are out of there the better. Afghanistan however asked for UN help against the taliban, thats where the armies of the free world should be deployed.

  • Elections may come and go. Presidents may come and go. Our soldiers are the real heroes! They are the ones that shed their blood for the liberty and freedom that is so precious. Today, I salute the American Soldier, Airman, Saillor and Marine! They go before us. They protect us. They die for us! I am humbled as I type these words. I am humbled because these brave men dare to take on a world that doesn't seem to like us, although, we have died protecting it. God Bless America!!!

  • whats the title of the song?

  • double tap.. bang bang

  • Great video. Gives me an idea what it is like there. Our(NL) men and women are in Afghanistan now.

  • support our troops all the way!!

  • Your the best! Thank you!

  • George Patton would be proud.

  • no more sadaam hussein (the murderer) and a functional constitutional democracy exists today. I am sure the Iranian mullah's and Saudi family is concerned about internal revolt now. Your right, its not about the USA -

  • Guys, be safe, watch out for your Brothers and come home soon, stuck here in the state by circumstances, too old they said:( But the least i can do is trying to organized a little project from work and my Kids schools to support so call (Operation gratitude and Operation Iraqis Children) by Gary Sinise AKA LT Dan. God Bless You all.

  • DAng 1:40-1:46 showed a bradly that lost it's tracks?

The Abram tank looks wicked with the mine detonationg gear infront.

    Is 4: 05- 4:08 a javilen missel? <--- probly spelt that wrong

  • that Bradley had a three foot hole in the bottom of it.

  • Very nice.Perfect song.Love the stetson hat photo. What a treat!I might add the spurs were a surprise too.Didn't know u.s.cavalry authorizes the stetson and spurs as part of uniform.I served in the air force (retired now). Was part of the WAF before it became integrated in the regular air force. Thanks for the video. Many thanks to all who are serving in iraq and afghanistan.God bless.

  • Really good made Video. The footages and that sound are so great!

  • As Mohammed was preparing to detonate his explosive vest at a special needs daycare, he shouted in an unhinged voice "Aloha Snackbar!", but nothing happened.

  • I FRAKING LOVE IT! Your right....this song does make all the difference. Glad you came back vertical.

  • very kick ass.

US military know how its done.

  • I love the soldiers .. I was soldier for 5 years .. I think that the mission of the soldier is noble .. always ... the American soldiers are losing their lives in their iraq .. striving for an ideal politician, doing the will of politicians dirty, dirty politics is anywhere in the world, political thinking about money, and send its soldiers to the poor to die iraq think are fighting for freedom?

not .. are fighting for politicians.

    want to help the world?

    kill all politicians.

  • hooa!

  • 4100 us soldiers have died in five years sad but wat makes me hapy is 1,280,000 arabs are dead high five

  • Great video! Lots of great photos, and cinematography. Very well put together and presented keep up the good work.

  • Mr. Fixit, Great Video. Here is a bit of advice from a Vietnam Vet. Keep an address book of all your buddies.. keep all your photos, patches, memorabilia. Plan reunions man keep in touch. Keep a journal especially of your health records. While in country keep a daily note of where you were deployed and what happened.. remember names and dates. Have loved ones keep your letters, e-mails, videos. Never forget Your time of Service. May God BlessYou and Keep you Safe. Come Home Soon.

  • Damn right! Great vid TY for what you've done.

  • As a member of 1/3 ACR when most of this was taken it brings back some major memory's. love the shot of tiger 6, wish he never left sugar 6 just didn't impress me

  • Major memories was the whole reason for making these videos.

  • HOO FUCKING RAH!!! Don't matter what branch it is...THE U.S. MILITARY AT ITS BEST, KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES. HARDHEADS IN HELMETS. Much respect.

  • u.s.a has beutifull army and beutifull equipment

  • I am from brazil and I like of usa

  • i am from malaysia n though this country is moslem i wish the US army wud hav a allocations for foreign volunteers to serve in iraq.

arm us n let us do the dirty job.

  • what is this crap? objection to content . over 1 million people dead and you had to honour them with bon jovi..dead or alive?

  • If the song does not meet your standards, or appeal to your taste.... hit the STOP button and go bug somebody else. You are wasting your time with your "objection to content". I don't give a damn about pleasing you. (I could have said the same thing using only seven letters. Care to guess what they are?)

  • You backwards ass ignorant fuc*head. Read the description, cumguzzler. It wasn't about honoring the dead. This movie was merely an expression of his experiences in Iraq, and he'll put whatever music he damn well pleases on it. Fuc* your stupidity makes me want to shoot retards.

    HOOAH MRFIXIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!

  • hey mrfixit853, thanks for that one.

  • Hey, mrfixit853, I just wanted to thank you for what you did. If anyone tries to give you shit, just look up my profile and tell me where to find them. I'll take care of it for you.

  • 50 is very surreal...looks fake...NOT TRYING TO SAY ANYTHING.

    Nice vid.

  • haaaaaaaaaa !!!! this is what phicologist call pre-nostalgyc trauma it means they know they have to go and a big feeling of blame for having been used for such shame

  • Umm.... I think you're way out in left field there, dude! Just watch the video. You don't have to try and figure out what it means. The guys that were there know what it means, and that is all that matters.

  • Hey kumatosky, if you really want to sound smart, try spelling things correctly...just basically don't use big words that you can't spell.

    Psychologist. (or psychiatrist?)

    Pre-nostalgic.

  • the western countries have RUINED this world.

  • Ruined, you say? Well, you could always give it your best shot and try to make things better. At least the western countries are trying. Maybe another world will come along and you can go there?

  • Damn right, we tried to help, but people are to fucking stupid to realize that. Sure, we went about it the wrong way, but whatever.

  • well depends on which western countries, I mean the US is trying but i can't say they are doing a really good job....

Sorry guys, i mean the soldiers are heroes and all that, just they fight the war for wrong reasons

  • Ok so the wrong reasons for us lowly soldiers fighting in a war in no particular order are...........

    1. It's for our country

    2. It's our job

    3. We get paid to do it

    4. We help rid the world of evil people

    5. We safeguard our friends and family from future attacks

    6. We want to do it

So if these are the wrong reasons for us fighting what are the right reasons?

  • The reasons mentioned above are all that got me through it! Those reasons work pretty well whan you are over there eating dirt. If they don't look so good to you.... well... maybe it is just one of those situations where you need to be there to see it clearly.

  • Well i was happy being there to help the iraqi people, And im glad i got a chance to fight for my country. I have to put up with having PTSD but hey i did my job and i did it well.

  • 1. It's for our country half of the country thinks opposite 2. It's our job illegal actions are not a soldiers job 3. We get paid to do it 1 dollar a kid? 4. We help rid the world of evil people start with your own liars and criminals in the gov. 5. We safeguard our friends and family from future attacks guess you are the reason for future attacks cause not a single iraqi has ever touched any american in us. 6. We want to do it then u have to deal with the consequences in the future.
  • 1. half the country can grow some balls

    2. the actions of few dont reflect the actions of many

    3. they dont get paid to shoot kids dipshit, and you wouldnt have to pay me to shoot you.

    4. i agree with this. we need to do something about our socialist prez

    5. no but thier airplanes have

    6. thats why they > you

  • The Middle East was ruined by your ancestors'. With out the western civilization finding oil and getting it out of the ground for you, you would still be using pointed sticks to dig roots to eat.

  • lol no we helped the world. Somalia, britian, germany. In ww2 germany attacked britian we helped. In somolia terroist and war lords. In iraq terroist. In afghanastain terroist. We have given food releif all over the world. We tried to do same wit iraq, but as soon as we get there we get shot at by xtremist. Simple as that.

  • I think you will find that germany did not attack britain, Not a single invading german army boot set foot on british land.

America came into the war to claim all the glory us Brits were doing just fine. Although we wouldn't have if the great USA weren't giving us supplies.

  • I'll agree that you guys were doing really well but how can you say that Germany never attacked Britain? It's true that they didn't put a boot on your soil, but that's not what attacking is. All of the bombs that they dropped on you Brits count as an attack. I'm not trying to be a dick (I love the Brits and think you're some tough bastards), I'm just trying to point something out.

  • Brave rifles! I was loader on B4 in Desert storm 1990. I wonder if its the same tank in this video. We called it Bad influence. Thanks for you service, I'm very proud of every one of you guys!

  • "Brave Horns" I remember you guys. I was a combat engineer 3/7 Marines who replace you guys.

Goddamn 9 months. Al Quaim wasn't so bad, Husayba was a nightmare.

  • I agree with you on the nightmare part. We emptied more than a few boxes of ammo in that stupid little square of a town. They were a little upset when we took over the Ba'ath Party HQ and moved in for a few weeks. It was the building at the NE intersection. We blew it up when we were done with it.

  • I was with Stetson 4/3 there in Iraq from Apr 03 to Feb 04. Thanks for showing our aircraft in your video. We did everything in our power to help you guys on the ground. And I have to say my saddest missions were those carrying the past to Bahgdad. It was never easy even though I did not know those brothers personally.

Good pictures of Al Qaiem. The was my smoke stop until the Marlboros got sour.

Really thanks for the vid. And your selfless service along with the rest. We will never forget.

  • good work

  • My brother was with the 1/3 bandit troop when this video was made. In fact I have all the original videos with the explicit lyrics still. He was at Carson for over 3 years, when the unit moved to Hood he got transfered to Knox. Thanks to all of them for keeping him and each other safe. Hurry home Brave Rifles.

  • I'm curious as to who your brother is. I probably know him well. I kept all of the raw video too.

  • My brother is sgt. steve schmidt. He was a como guy.

  • ive seen clips of marines using like AK's nd stuff and a dragonuv in this one do they not care if u use enemy weapons??

  • weapons are weapons. You use what you have, and you'd better be familiar with what your enemy has.

  • Chances are you see trophy shots. Captured armament ... or have mistaken Iraqi forces for Marines. (not a popular mistake) Easiest way to tell, is if the weapon is fired from the shoulder ... But yeah being familiar with ones enemy, and weapons, is wise ... Besides, Dragunov's are tollerably accurate ... some even better.

  • Awesome!

  • The soilgers r in Iraq right now!!! But...Its so sad if we loose our freedom!!! =< then it'll be even harder 2 live! =< Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! *Sniff Sniff*

  • How did the BRAD get knocked over on its side

  • It was driver error. One track went off the side of the road, and it rolled over. Nobody was hurt. We got out and jumped into the back of another Brad and did the mission anyway.

  • Loved it when tank went through wall because it was probably my ole tank C-41 4th platoon crazyhorse troop.

3 acr always kicks ass always setting the standard. At 1:41 did those scouts get hurt hope not.

  • As far as I know, there was nobody in the back of that Brad. It had a 3 ft hole in the bottom. There were more unexploded shells and landmines that were not detonated.... Lucky....

  • don't drink and drive

  • Beautiful vid.

  • 00:31 look at the gun the marine leaving the helicopter holds in his right arm. I`m pretty sure thats an ak47

  • It's possible. That was a tank crew getting out of that chopper. We did many different missions. Tank crews only had two M-4 for 4 people.(everyone was assigned am M-9 pistol) I felt better having a rifle with a pistol as backup - even if it was an AK-47.

  • i didn't see this til fielder called me yesterday. pretty badass. hope all is well in your little corner of the world.

  • Great video chaps but how the hell did you manage to knock 2 bradleys on to there sides, lol you should have a word with your drivers.

    Former Desert Rat

  • Hey good stuff there Mr Fixit. Im from little old New Zealand and there are plenty of people in this country who think you are all doing a fantastic job overseas in these operations. They are certainly appreciated by us all. Your unit looks very switched on. You showed some excellent CQB/Room combat drills there in that video. Good work great video. Thanks USA

  • Hey kumatosky.... What's wrong? You don't like Bon Jovi??? I see you collect your little IED videos on your page here. It's always fun to cut a guy in half when you catch him trying to set up an IED. It is also great to be an American. Go bug somebody else. You wasted your time talking to me.

  • Tough outfit! Love the Cav hats! Get some!
