IMO old Twingo has the most appeal... for one it wasn't made to be an expensive resurrection of a legendary model but is an ordinary car that itself took to the stars. but that's just me.
I own a Fiat 500, I'm 5ft 8 lady and I can fit in the back with no problems. Leg room will be restricted if the person sat in front is taller than my height lets say.
The U.S spec Fiat 500 Sport is the best 500 out! It comes with 16" low profile tires, sport button instead of the steering button, 7-speaker bose audio, red sport brakes and sport bumpers and a 1.4L 101hp standard engine and an optional Tip-tronic 6-speed auto, sport seats.
This car is crap. i seen it driving down the street one day and they soo cheaply made and two of these cars can fit in the same length of a VW Beetle. I think Fiat came into the game of small cars a bit too late. there is already the VW Beetle, Ford Fiesta, and much more including the SMART car which is going to be pulled from production because of the crappy trans. and very low sales.
People can buy a lot more car for the amount that car is worth, that car is like a 'clown car' like the yaris
I don´t think it´s girly, I only think that there are manlier (and much better overall) cars you can buy for almost the same money, such as the Citroen DS3, the Audi A1 and (although I don't like it that much) the Mini.

This car is not girlish. It has a lot of history behind it.
It's a decent city car, with enough space for 4 people. Personally, I think it's beautiful and generally a very good car. The steering of these cars is very nice.

mini cooper still better than this car in every way its a fact. by the way all you fiat potential buyers good luck with the fact that they're teamed with Chrysler here in the US, they've had such a great track record with reliability and handling thier finances properly hope your dealership doesnt close down before your first oil change is due.

the only differance i can find between the fiat and mini is the dashboard. the one on the fiat looks more appealing than that big speedo/radio dial on the mini
good review. i just saw one of these in toronto and was checking it out. wanted to learn more about it since i'm car shopping. i'm glad the review was more subjective than other reviews i've seen, pointing out its flaws. as someone in the market to buy a car i like to hear the cons as well as the pros. i love the mini but at $40k+ for everything i want in it, it's kinda steep. i'll have to test drive to see!

@netando The fact that it looks cute, is very reliable and very easy on my wallet when it comes to tax, insurance and petrol.Also the fact that even if you load them with extras they are still way cheaper than an entry level Mini- no i'm not fiat saleswoman! I have just started driving and find the gearbox so easy to use. Would really recomend them :D
I'm 6ft and easily fit in the back of my wife's 500 Popular without any problem. We bought a 500c last year and the rear headroom in the convertible is even better! I prefer it to my new Fiesta Titanium any day! The panda is better value clearly but it looks like a cupboard! Ride can be a bit harsh but build quality is unexpectedly excellent!
I do like the 500, but the Panda 100HP beats every version (apart from the 500 Abarth versions) hands down, its got loads more room, is faster, better equiped, cheaper to buy & insure and a much better drive by far....
I have a fiat 500, and I would argue with him about the space in the back seat, My friend hows 6 feet is happy to sit in the back and dosent feel too squished, theres MASSES of room in the front the seat jsut needs to be moved forward a little bit.
@alexjg42 I have bought a new 500 1.2 popular in 2008 and now have a 1.4 convertible since Sept, 2010. Have had one warrenty claim in all that time, to have a small breather pipe replaced in the 1.2 in 2009. Great cars. Built far better than I could imagine from a Fiat. Better quality than my new Fiesta. (Wife now has the 500 alas!) Buy it... It is that good. And soooo cool!
Fiat 500 is unique. So beautiful and is good value of money. In my opinion cabin attractiveness is essential as our days begin and end inside that car. And everybody has a car nowadays and in most cases you don't really need spacious backseats.

If you want a good car, just get a mini cooper. Skip this. Anyway a mini has a lot more prestige than fiat does in the united states.

I like their design, I'm open to seeing what their quality is like. I also like Ford's little car project.. its name escapes me at the moment. Ford recently created a 3 cylinder engine (the smallest its ever created) so its good news if they are moving into the small car segment too.
I'm tired of seeing batmobile sized behemoths.

Just listening to a You Bet Your Life episode from around 1950, and one of the selling points of the new DeSoto is that you can park using only one finger. My, how things have changed in 61 years. I do like the curved bottom of the door, though, as it's safer for my little doggie. Will this car run on 87 octane petrol?

mini cooper still better than this car in every way its a fact. by the way all you fiat potential buyers good luck with the fact that they're teamed with Chrysler here in the US, they've had such a great track record with reliability and handling thier finances properly hope your dealership doesnt close down before your first oil change is due.

good review. i just saw one of these in toronto and was checking it out. wanted to learn more about it since i'm car shopping. i'm glad the review was more subjective than other reviews i've seen, pointing out its flaws. as someone in the market to buy a car i like to hear the cons as well as the pros. i love the mini but at $40k+ for everything i want in it, it's kinda steep. i'll have to test drive to see!

@netando The fact that it looks cute, is very reliable and very easy on my wallet when it comes to tax, insurance and petrol.Also the fact that even if you load them with extras they are still way cheaper than an entry level Mini- no i'm not fiat saleswoman! I have just started driving and find the gearbox so easy to use. Would really recomend them :D

I'm 6ft and easily fit in the back of my wife's 500 Popular without any problem. We bought a 500c last year and the rear headroom in the convertible is even better! I prefer it to my new Fiesta Titanium any day! The panda is better value clearly but it looks like a cupboard! Ride can be a bit harsh but build quality is unexpectedly excellent!

I do like the 500, but the Panda 100HP beats every version (apart from the 500 Abarth versions) hands down, its got loads more room, is faster, better equiped, cheaper to buy & insure and a much better drive by far....

I have a fiat 500, and I would argue with him about the space in the back seat, My friend hows 6 feet is happy to sit in the back and dosent feel too squished, theres MASSES of room in the front the seat jsut needs to be moved forward a little bit.

@alexjg42 I have bought a new 500 1.2 popular in 2008 and now have a 1.4 convertible since Sept, 2010. Have had one warrenty claim in all that time, to have a small breather pipe replaced in the 1.2 in 2009. Great cars. Built far better than I could imagine from a Fiat. Better quality than my new Fiesta. (Wife now has the 500 alas!) Buy it... It is that good. And soooo cool!

Fiat 500 is unique. So beautiful and is good value of money. In my opinion cabin attractiveness is essential as our days begin and end inside that car. And everybody has a car nowadays and in most cases you don't really need spacious backseats.
