Ive always liked the concept of this play/dance/skit and I absolutely love the song. i was shaking the first time i saw it. This take on it is a little disapointing because there are so many effects and they could have done to have made the emotional effects so much greater. It just looked like a cheesy copy of the play. If another version of this comes out I hope they can maximize the use of visual video effects.

But religion's position and the sin notion and absolution,salvation,are often achieved through guilt.Guilt makes us miserable and cause illness."Sins" reflect our fears, fear of not having enough money, need to be a consumer who needs to buy, in order to be loved and desired.I believe in the strenght of father's symbolism,u don't have to serve this symbol or to comply to be happy.

God orchestrates every moment of our lives and is deeply involved whether we recognize it or not. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws (lit. drags) him" He is constantly wooing us and its only through His action that any of us turn and are saved. God uses or allows the good and evil always and every time for our good.
@steveoho Jesus was not indifferent he wanted her to come to him, but he gives us freewill, he wants to be loved not force us to love him. she was also not doing this unwillingly, she willingly did this knowing it was wrong and feeling ashamed but she over came all of that. i'm glad you became christian though God bless you!
@savingprivatekira A mistake many make is by pitting predestination vs free will, When they are actually both intimately at work. The Bible is adamant that God is completely sovereign, predestining his people and also free will or our response to what he has spoken. I recommend a book called Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God... it ends the fight over this issue and reorients our focus to rejoice over both aspects.
@steveoho I don't think the Jesus here is indifferent. He's just allowing her her free will. If she's uneasy about being of the world but she still does it anyway, then she hasn't really chosen Him. The video makes sure to show Jesus there observing and thinking she's not going down the right path, and this truth is reflected in the ways she shows she knows at heart the path is wrong. But she still has to turn away from her path at the end for her to be saved.
@DreamwaIker All I have to say is look up prevenient grace (which might be hard to portray). Also, like I said in an earlier post... read the book called Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God by J.I. Packer (he also has an awesome book called Knowing God)
@steveoho yes but as you see, she started out with Christ. When people start out with the gospel in their lives, and always had that there, they gradually fall away, often looking back. I know it happened to me, and many of my friends.

Muchas chicas sufren de anorexia y bulimia devido a esto caen en diversos engaños del mundo,se alejan de su creador,pero Dios nunca las abandona,no abandona a nadie , Dios esta siempre presente ,dispuesto ha ir a auxiliarnos , ha luchar con todo y con todos para sacarnos de ese calvario martirizante.Las chicas con anorexia y bulimia son concientes que dañan su cuerpo pero piensan que esqueleticas se ven atractivas no saben que Dios dijo que cuidemos nuestro cuerpo porque es templo del espiritu.

Ive always liked the concept of this play/dance/skit and I absolutely love the song. i was shaking the first time i saw it. This take on it is a little disapointing because there are so many effects and they could have done to have made the emotional effects so much greater. It just looked like a cheesy copy of the play. If another version of this comes out I hope they can maximize the use of visual video effects.

Já fizeram uma peça na escola com essa música.E foi incrivelmente impressionante.A música traz uma mensagem muito bela.Pode haver muitas "ilusões" na nossa vida.Mas nunca podemos esquecer que Deus está conosco. Pode acontecer coisas que faça duvidarmos do seu poder,mas o importante é acreditar e ama-ló acima de tudo.

I like the original much better. The theology of this one seems to put the desire to bring salvation mostly on the girl as Jesus seems largely indifferent until she reaches out to him. It also seems that the girl is unwillingly sinning... I don't know about the rest of you, but before I was a Christian I ran toward sin and nothing short of the miracle could turn me from that path. Only God's vigorous pursuit of me and constant drawing could break through my wall. That is the God I serve.

@steveoho I don't agree.I love the music and lifehouse is really a great group and this song is fabulous. But religion's position and the sin notion and absolution,salvation,are often achieved through guilt.Guilt makes us miserable and cause illness."Sins" reflect our fears, fear of not having enough money, need to be a consumer who needs to buy, in order to be loved and desired.I believe in the strenght of father's symbolism,u don't have to serve this symbol or to comply to be happy.

@westboy43 I do want to caution against intellectualizing sin. Though there are aspects of rationality to them it is at its heart a distrust and even a rebellion against God and His ways. Our very hearts (thoughts, will, and affections) are called wicked and deceitful in the Bible. And God is not merely a symbol, but our very real Heavenly Father who is grieved by our sin. I hope that you've made the decision to repent of your way of life and turned to Jesus for salvation.

@steveoho Lets face it... the Presence of God in our daily lives is basicly invisible!We are all different and He knows what we need.There is a strong anointing on this very "original" version of the original.I like the way it shows the demonic spirit in the boyfriend looking at and pushing Jesus away.They know very well what they are doing and it show how Yeshua /Jesus sees and deals with them.Yet He waits in the background until we are ready for His help.Great video.Praise the LORD.

@CelestialRevelations If you're saying that God anoints that which paints Him in a poor light then I must respectfully disagree. God orchestrates every moment of our lives and is deeply involved whether we recognize it or not. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws (lit. drags) him" He is constantly wooing us and its only through His action that any of us turn and are saved. God uses or allows the good and evil always and every time for our good.

@steveoho Jesus was not indifferent he wanted her to come to him, but he gives us freewill, he wants to be loved not force us to love him. she was also not doing this unwillingly, she willingly did this knowing it was wrong and feeling ashamed but she over came all of that. i'm glad you became christian though God bless you!

@savingprivatekira A mistake many make is by pitting predestination vs free will, When they are actually both intimately at work. The Bible is adamant that God is completely sovereign, predestining his people and also free will or our response to what he has spoken. I recommend a book called Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God... it ends the fight over this issue and reorients our focus to rejoice over both aspects.

@steveoho I don't think the Jesus here is indifferent. He's just allowing her her free will. If she's uneasy about being of the world but she still does it anyway, then she hasn't really chosen Him. The video makes sure to show Jesus there observing and thinking she's not going down the right path, and this truth is reflected in the ways she shows she knows at heart the path is wrong. But she still has to turn away from her path at the end for her to be saved.

@steveoho yes but as you see, she started out with Christ. When people start out with the gospel in their lives, and always had that there, they gradually fall away, often looking back. I know it happened to me, and many of my friends.

@ColorfulChaos1 You make a good point though those looking back would have to be unsaved for this video to apply to them as Jesus only took our sins upon himself once. I hadn't noticed that this video omitted the black shirt being torn off when she turned to Jesus.

@aloustaunau22 Él mismo dijo hace años que para él esta canción tenía un significado más profundo, espiritual, que no era de una relación entre un hombre y una mujer, por eso se habla de religión, pero que eso no significaba que tuviera que querer decir eso para todo el mundo, que la canción estaba abierta a interpretaciones :)

i used to be a racist a heavy drug user and full of hate and was tricked into going into a all black church who performed this skit as i walked in i told the people i went with i hated them with the whole church knowing i was a racist and drug user they welcomed me with opend arms that day changed my life i felt god for the first time this skit has changed my life and im very thankfull
