@countchunkula hell yeah that would be dope as hell two versatile producers(kanye is a genius when it come to samples) with a great lyricist with thom yorke vocals and johnny greenwood on the guitar ??? that would be insane
ye was never a faggot and still isnt. he makes better music than anyones there is, there should be a top 100 things kanye did instead of top 100 songs because he shows everyone up whenever he releases anything new

@SunMoonStars1111 his besr work yet this new album.... i thought Graduation would be his best only.... then My Twisted Dark Fantasy came out... WICKED
@bango31 anything is better than his last album. that made me want to put acid in my ears. but Lupes album is going to be Amazing. its going to make Kanye look second best once again (:
@ishereal1991 Hahaha I wouldn't take it THAT far. I thought there were some decent tracks. Overall though, I agree...it wasn't his best work. Then again, I also appreciate it for what it was...a dark album written during a dark time in his life.
@PwnUser815 I already listened Kanyes' album, all the beats are the shit! damnnn. he's a excellent producer, but still a fake ass... his lyrics are very hedonistic... He's part of the mainstream cRap (obviously i'm talking about what his lyrics represent nowadays) Lupe's word is very real.
@MrSirballer Actually, Sampling is when you take a piece of a song and then manipulate it to fit in with your song. These people just rapped over a song that they didn't change at all, therefore this is not there song at all
@42darklord If I'm not mistaken, it is illegal to copy a song or even parts of a song without permission. So Thom Yorke was probably honored to have his track collaborated on by these 3 great rappers. And it is "there" (their) song, just over Yorke's track.
@MrSirballer I very much doubt that Thom Yorke knew about this. And if he did he would definitely not be proud of it. And no, this is not their song. Writing lyrics over someone elses song does not count

@soulmman Where did they say that they didn't work together? All I've been able to find is Lupe flatly saying that they were done in May, and then they came out with a new song just a few days ago for G.O.O.D. Friday.
Great lyrical content on this track. I love lupe..I wonder if he'll truly retire. I hope not, or at least I hope that he'll at least be making mixtapes because lyrically, I never get tired of hearing him.
For everyone saying Hip-Hop is dead, go check out the underground world where Hip-Hop is at it's rawest..that's what I did when most songs out couldn't entertain my brain enough with their lame lyricism..but everyone has their own flavor, just that it's not mine :)
Banks can't hope to be that multidimensional and deep. So in conclusion of my argument, whoever is the best is NOT always the one who has the best flow, at least in my opinion. Banks and these guys are two WAY different styles and approaches anyway.
For instance, Lupe will make music for everything; the streets (Gotta Eat, Tilted, Pressure), his life (Gold Watch, Go Go Gadget Flow, Superstar, Fighters), the world and its issues (Hurt Me Soul, American Terrorist, The Instrumentation, Little Weapon, Conflict Daimonds, Kick, Push, Kick Push II, Daydreamin'), tracks about love (Sunshine, Paris, Tokyo), the rap game (Dumb It Down, Hip-Hop Saved My Life) and even storytelling (The Cool, The Coolest, Put You On Game,Streets On Fire).
If you ask me, dudes that talk about the streets all the time, like they don't shit else, just prove how much of a nigga they really are and by nigga I mean a truly ignorant muthafucker.
I'm not saying I'm soft with my music or anything. I'm just saying that I would really rather hear Lupe talk about life and the pressures everyone faces and the world, then hear about how Lloyd Banks is going to get that money and rob niggas and fuck bitches and drive expensive cars (that might not be his). Those subjects are so shallow and played out. Banks can be pigeonholed as a stereotypical rapper, no matter how good his flow is. His lyrical content ain't shit.
If you just look at flow and focus on flow all the time, while it is the most important thing about Hip-Hop, you also miss out on other attributes, like creativity and production and versatility. That is one of the problems of Hip-Hop/Rap and its fans, everyone is always focused narrow mindedly on who has the best flow. What if Lloyd Banks was talking about kidnapping and raping someone, but his flow was the shit while he was doing it? Come on man, you can't tell me that's not right.
Shit, I even have Hunger For More on my I-Pod and I really like "I'm So Fly" and "On Fire", but I never thought that Banks was as good as you say he is.
Believe me 69, I have heard both Hunger For More and Rotten Apple numerous times, as well as Banks work with G-Unit. When it comes to street Hip-Hop and G-Unit, Lloyd Banks is probably the most lyrical, but outside of that, you got to be fucking kidding me!
Not only Hip-Hop, but I listen to dudes like Mr. Hudson, Coldplay, Green Day, Creed, Kenna, Chrisette Michele, Hey Champ, Japanese Cartoon, NERD, Labi Siffre, David Axelrod (I could go on forever). Sorry to get so offensive, but I don't confine myself to one artist, even though Lupe is my favorite artist. I expand my horizons and look for a whole bunch of music. I try to stay open-minded and I don't let people accuse me of being closed. I do like the original Thom Yorke version of this.
Hip-Hop needs a CRS album. That would be straight dopeness, raw and uncut. The lyrical presence and meaning of the album would be off the charts. It would probably be the most lyrically endowed album of this generation, especially considering all the garbage being shoved in peoples ears these days.
@rytnutcase69 No its not that I haven't listened to too much else. I just think that when you combine Lupe's lyrical complexity and meanings with Kanye's raw emotion with Pharrell's unparalleled creativity well... your sure to get an explosion of talent not seen thus far since way back when. I am deeply rooted in hip-hop. I listen to dudes like Jay Electronica, B.o.B, Talib Kweli, Wale, J. Cole, Wu Tang, GLC, Charles Hamilton, ect. Don't you dare question my interest in my own genre of music.
@rytnutcase69 Look man, Banks is decent lyrically and all, but there is no way he is touching Lupe. For one, his concepts are limited to street-related material, just like any other mere rapper. Lupe is so much more than a simple rapper, he is an artist. What is the most thought-provoking thing that Lloyd Banks has ever said in his lyrics. You have to listen to Lupe's songs again, just to find meaning in the lyrics. I think that is phenomenal.
@Sicckmaster Aye lupe is good, but when your praising kanye he's just got shit flow and lyrics tbh, i mentioned lloyd banks because the way you were talking it sounded as though these were the only 3 people who had talent
@rytnutcase69 Naw man, that is not what I meant. I mean together, as a GROUP they have an abundance of talent. I reevaluate my comment about the most talented GROUP today, but Lupe shits on all of these dudes. Kanye's flow is wack, but the emotion he puts in his music, some of his lyrics, and the way he produces his songs kind of make up for that, at least for me. Not only that, but I like the fact that Ye does not fit into this moniker of "gangsta" like everyone else wants to do. He is himself.
I bet some of you are so used to listening to either simplistic lyrics or deep lyrics told in an uninteresting way, that you cannot fathom nor appreciate this song.
everyone can write a rap? well why won't you go write some then, genius? i love thom yorke and radiohead as much as the next guy, and no i don't think this is better than the original, but i just don't understand why you have to shit on other people's creative efforts in such disrespectful manner.
@Scott17quebec Yeah dude, you obviously dont understand what rap is all about. I didnt say I didnt like the thom yorke version ... i like this one better. so dont go off running your mouth like some big tough guy. And dont go running your mouth like you know the whats what in every variable of music, because obviously you dont understand rap if you think this is bad.
hey this is good music man...only because its rap doesnt mean its goin to tal only about girls money and other mainstream bullshit....this is actually good hip hop....listen to the lyrics
@crazyyungsta08 You're right. After studying the song a lot, I understood there was a message (wich is pretty surprising). I still don't like it, and don't think at all it is musically creative, but I do respect it. But big Radiohead fans like me get angry when we touch their precious songs. Until the result is good... (Sorry for bad english)
I dont think this song is for the closed minded people who dont like to see genres of music mix. "Omg Thom Yorke is so much better than Kanye why is he on this track!"
One of my favorite songs

Sicckmaster 1 year ago

CRS is short for Child Rebel Soldier. Lupe Fiasco is Child, Kanye West is Rebel, and Pharrell is Soldier.

Child Rebel Soilders ftw

Hip-Hop needs a CRS album. That would be straight dopeness, raw and uncut. The lyrical presence and meaning of the album would be off the charts. It would probably be the most lyrically endowed album of this generation, especially considering all the garbage being shoved in peoples ears these days.

It may even become a CLASSIC Hip-Hop album. They need to get back together and actually follow-through on it.
Sicckmaster 1 year ago 2
lol so true, hopefully they get their shit together and release the album this year.

@Sicckmaster Lupe just announced recently that they are currently working on a debut C.R.S. album, but they've only made 4 songs so far.

@SuccessIsMyDestiny I know man, I posted this comment before I was aware, but like Lasers, it does not have a specific release date.

@Sicckmaster Dont think you've listened to much else apart from this then
rytnutcase69 1 year ago
@rytnutcase69 No its not that I haven't listened to too much else. I just think that when you combine Lupe's lyrical complexity and meanings with Kanye's raw emotion with Pharrell's unparalleled creativity well... your sure to get an explosion of talent not seen thus far since way back when. I am deeply rooted in hip-hop. I listen to dudes like Jay Electronica, B.o.B, Talib Kweli, Wale, J. Cole, Wu Tang, GLC, Charles Hamilton, ect. Don't you dare question my interest in my own genre of music.
Sicckmaster 1 year ago
@Sicckmaster WOW sorry i am questioning it, because i've seen better lyrical talent then this, lloyd banks.
rytnutcase69 1 year ago
@rytnutcase69 Look man, Banks is decent lyrically and all, but there is no way he is touching Lupe. For one, his concepts are limited to street-related material, just like any other mere rapper. Lupe is so much more than a simple rapper, he is an artist. What is the most thought-provoking thing that Lloyd Banks has ever said in his lyrics. You have to listen to Lupe's songs again, just to find meaning in the lyrics. I think that is phenomenal.
Sicckmaster 1 year ago
@Sicckmaster Aye lupe is good, but when your praising kanye he's just got shit flow and lyrics tbh, i mentioned lloyd banks because the way you were talking it sounded as though these were the only 3 people who had talent
rytnutcase69 1 year ago
@rytnutcase69 Naw man, that is not what I meant. I mean together, as a GROUP they have an abundance of talent. I reevaluate my comment about the most talented GROUP today, but Lupe shits on all of these dudes. Kanye's flow is wack, but the emotion he puts in his music, some of his lyrics, and the way he produces his songs kind of make up for that, at least for me. Not only that, but I like the fact that Ye does not fit into this moniker of "gangsta" like everyone else wants to do. He is himself.

I bet some of you are so used to listening to either simplistic lyrics or deep lyrics told in an uninteresting way, that you cannot fathom nor appreciate this song.

not everyone can write a rap.
I resepct your opinion, but surely even you must recognize how small minded and ignorant you currently sound.
EmmyLuxeMakeUpInc 2 years ago 5
everyone can write a rap? well why won't you go write some then, genius? i love thom yorke and radiohead as much as the next guy, and no i don't think this is better than the original, but i just don't understand why you have to shit on other people's creative efforts in such disrespectful manner.
ennqq 2 years ago 5
@Scott17quebec Yeah dude, you obviously dont understand what rap is all about. I didnt say I didnt like the thom yorke version ... i like this one better. so dont go off running your mouth like some big tough guy. And dont go running your mouth like you know the whats what in every variable of music, because obviously you dont understand rap if you think this is bad.
word.
KickIt722 2 years ago
hey this is good music man...only because its rap doesnt mean its goin to tal only about girls money and other mainstream bullshit....this is actually good hip hop....listen to the lyrics
crazyyungsta08 1 year ago 3
@crazyyungsta08 You're right. After studying the song a lot, I understood there was a message (wich is pretty surprising). I still don't like it, and don't think at all it is musically creative, but I do respect it. But big Radiohead fans like me get angry when we touch their precious songs. Until the result is good... (Sorry for bad english)
Scott17quebec 1 year ago
I dont think this song is for the closed minded people who dont like to see genres of music mix. "Omg Thom Yorke is so much better than Kanye why is he on this track!"
fucking loonies.
