@HandMadeFireworks.. close... i know the guy that does the fireworks really well. during his investigation he found that the frames didnt hold up to the force of the shells (human error)... when the shells on our left went off it forced the frame towards the right and tipped it up and thats what went wrong...

none of the shells were loaded wrong.. my dad is the coordinator for the Charles City Fireworks show and the shell detonated in the tube and tipped the racks over.. no one was killed but many were injured.. the rumors can stop because thats wat happened and it done and over with

The chances are better that a shell was defective rather than a trained tech putting a shell in upside down. Defective shells happen sometimes.

i think one of the shells got loaded upsidedown and it looked like thay had it in the air in some sort of contaner anyway one was loaded upsidedown blew up lit the others and at the same time throwing them into the croud ware they went off thats what looks like whjat hapend to me the delay betwen seams about right but idk for sure im 14 but pritty smart and i hope noone was killd if so god be with thoes familys and all who were thair and whoever that kidd was go fuck yourself wow just fuckin wow

I was standing along the wall right in front of Tori's, and I knew that something was wrong as soon as the first blast shook my clothing. But then the flag was raising, you couldn't see anything due to the smoke, and the large shells were going off in the distance. That, mixed with a hope that it was on purpose, had me thinking that it was part of the show. Then the smoke cleared and it was clear that something truly horrible had happened.

We were right in the middle of it too. Sat right in front of that wrought iron bench just south of main street bridge on the west side of main street. I'll guarantee you NONE of the clapping and cheering was coming from the area we were in! All that cheering came from across the river.
