  • I hear a little Jack Nicholson in this one.

LMAO......what does that say about me? =b

  • Ha ha ! That did make me laugh. Well delivered. !!

  • five star and sent this one to favs. David. Sorry it takes me so long to get around. My guitar is not turbo so the ride is a bit slow.lol~but it beats my broom and swiffer for comfort.lol. I love my guitar..but not that way.lol.Very brilliant look at "love". When i was a little sprout my Mom gave be a little book called"So Many Kinds Of Love".I didnt get it then and I've learned that it seems to just be different levels of "The Barter System".hahah.Well I love you and your work.

    cheers Lisa S~x

  • Some say poetic genius is present in every age, but the men carrying it within them remain benumbed unless extraordinary events occur to heat up and melt the mass so that it flows forth. I believe that is what's going on with you now, Mr. Curtis. It happened to me back in '68. It was late and this really fat woman and I shared a night together, she too snored and occasionally farted. The next day, I wrote, "Kill Me If You Can" my bestseller.

  • ouch

  • your too good an artist to digress into such hackneyed wastes- get a grip and excelsior-

    your devoted listener and friend

    Harry

  • to love someone mean to IN and OUT love with them so i thought but it appears there is lite love and regular love, decaf love and love without cream..the list goes on.

  • Ah thats a shame. Poor guy got a woman who's not in love with him AND she snores, I'd have to hold her head underneath of the covers when I farted.

  • LOL

  • Green screen, no less. I loved, sir. Funny, indeed! 5*****+

  • StanleyPacion: Naw, no green screen. Just 100 watt flood lights. Thanks for the comments and the video response ;)

  • So good, and immensely entertaining !

    Superb, David!

    faved

  • I was wondering. Are you a writer?

  • numbcore: Yes and no. I've been been paid for it in the past when I did an alternative comic strip with one of my ex wives... and a few other things... right now I'm just trying to break even on a poetry chapbook/dvd thingy I have out... I always think of "real" writers as those that make a living off it... then I'm reminded some of my favorite well known poets made little or no money off their work...

  • Hmm ok cool, thanks :)

  • Prime stuff, my good friend. You've got me laughing me ass off now. You have this certain knack for stealing the day's perspective. There will always be only one DRC.

  • HAHAHA. Yet another DRC classic

  • I do love you

  • longhairred: *shameless flirt* :P

  • haha! i didn't see that coming :)

  • good stuff

  • Nice poem, David.

    Thanks!

    All the best

  • Hah, great poem!

Minor glitch, you wanted to say prEcede.

  • simplic10: I am always grateful when people point out things like that: it makes me try harder on future poems (for real - no sarcasm meant here)... I also did not emphasis the "t" enough at the end of "pregnant" -- usually I'll do about 25 to 30 takes of a poem--this one I only did about 5 -- so I am going to blame my mistake on being tired and getting over a cold! (and being too lazy that day to do enough takes) :P

  • Oops, I actually meant the spelling in the description. You're probably golden for pronunciation anyway since "proceed" and "precede" both often have a schwa there anyway. I'm not quite that pedantic. :) Sorry for the confusion. The poem is witty as hell. I'm going to go check out some others.

  • good presentation-

  • Hilarious as always, thanks for uploading. 5* and Fav

  • Great :-)

  • Love it, David!!!!

  • xxxild: thank you so much... I miss talking to you on skype... i hope you will grace me with a call soon! :P

  • What is a green screen, is it something to do with colour seperation overlay? Perhaps drifting off to sleep was the answer to your question.

As usual, brilliant... these late night conversations always have a surreal feel.

    Regards, Peter

  • Nordicsky: "Green Screen" is a just how it sounds. A green screen actors act in front of--it is used in SCI-FI and action movies a lot. The actors do their stuff in front of it and then the special effects guys add in space ships or a monster or whatever--where the green screen was... then add the 2 images together. The green behind me is just from a green floodlight (and a blue one too) shinging on the wall behind me... thanks for your comment :P

  • Lol! Excellence! Most enjoyed David! Luv the lighting man! Cheers Sir!

  • lol

  • Very nice squire. And then did you give her the Dutch Oven?

  • PlayboyHerbie: I am not quite familar with the term, "Dutch Oven" -- could you please explain it to me in detail in the comments? :P

  • David, you are the master of brevity. So few words but, man, those words speak volumes. Beautifully delivered in your strikingly original way, you are certainly the best dressed poet on yt. 5* and fav!

  • oh good a green screen hehehehe

  • floydstinkyboy: Oh God... if I ever start doing poems with a real green screen--just shoot me! Those are just cheap floodlights--I wanted a kinda NyQuil look for this :P -- thanks for the comment.

  • Much to my own horror, that is the very line I used to break up with my first boyfriend.

I love how you end the poem just with that image of her falling asleep and everything becomes clear--you are a true craftsman. 5/fav

  • A beautiful cascade of lulz.

  • DRC is fricking delicatessen for the mind.

  • CognosSquare: That is the type of comment that goes right to my head! :p

    --thanx for making it.... :)

  • *snorted*

  • hehehe

  • HE HE I do love this one :D Hail 1Aware1 ! *****stars; ) + faved

  • Kabuki0009: Thank you very much and HAIL 1AWARE1!!!!! :p

  • damn, what you can do with 53 seconds. i think i'm IN LOVE with you.

  • healthy addixion: "IN LOVE" with me.... I doubt that... I think you are just using me to get to someone REALLY COOL like Mary Cigarettes! :P

  • very cool

  • yayness!

  • Lol, should I have cried? Nobody tells it better!

  • So glad I subscribed.

  • you'd never have that problem with me david

  • Nah it'd be the other way round with you :P

  • i can assure you, you're wrong..me and david have been getting into bed together for the longest time now,and both sleep soundly after the most satisfying social intercourse.

  • Oooh, ya' lil' minx :3

  • Haha love it!! 5*'s/faved.

  • Ha ha! Was that wishful thinking, Mr. Curtis?

  • heheh. Great stuff. 5 stars.

  • hehe... it should really go " i love you but i'm not infatuated with you...'

  • YogiToad: In love. Infatuation. It really doesn't matter to me. I just want her to stay AWAKE! :p

  • Lol....yea i can relate to that!!^_^

  • Elvira: Only a TRUE BRAT could relate to this poem--which is why I think YOU are the only one out there that truly understands it! Bwa ha ha ha ha! :P

  • Thanks so much Mr. Curtis.

  • lucidatheist: Thank you so much for the comment!
