  • @grenadesforballs I overclocked Q9650 to 4.0 from 3.0 with room to spare. Was very stable and still is, dude never complained.

  • I have a Sniper case black edition and one of my fans crapped out. Do you where i can get the original 200mm fan with LEDs?

  • @willcm05 Have you tried Cooler Master site?

  • @zver711 Yes, man... But they only have a different type of 200mm with no speed sensor... I have googled it and there one seems to be one company in CA that carries them, but it doesn't look trustworthy. I guess I have to call Cooler Master and see If i get lucky since that case is still under warranty.

  • @willcm05 There are tons of sites but I usually shop at either PerformancePCS or FrozenCPU. Check them out.

  • How you doing? I just finished watching your vid on Intel Q6600 CPU 25% overclock. Can you send me the exact settings you made in the bios to overclock the Q6600?

  • @davmrls I can't possibly tell you that since it was over a year ago and it was a client's machine, and I haven't seen it since. Those settings are lost in my memory, like the tears in the rain...

  • @davmrls search for the 420 pin mod/tape mod, safe and easy. The Q6600 quad core is first generation technology, I've seen this cpu hit 4Ghz! don't do it, you'll burn yours up, they had a fat cooling system for it. Either way you can use the pin mod to achieve the 3.0 ghz in less than 15 minutes or so, if you feel the want for more use FSB tool to increase it further, depending on your memory (1066) you can also increase to (1333). But like he was sayin, my memory might be off a bit, old tech.

  • I have same cpu at 3ghz and it has the same problem with core 1 higher than the others. Also why wad your cpu voltage so high? I undervolted my cpu from 1.25 to 1.15 so now it runs cooler as well.

  • @mikey9890 I can't complain about the temps, this cooler might help to achieve, dare I say, MUCH higher overclock. I also ran a 24 hour test on OCCT and 24 hour test on Prime95 with no errors or spikes, and the highest temp it shown was 59C so... I wouldn't worry. Plus this computer is used for video and photo processing, and some light office work by an older dude, so I don't think its gonna go to a 100% use too often.

  • I have the same cooler and the same problem, probably why I got on clearance at best buy for 24.99!! I bet this is a typical problem to this cooler!! All though other reviews are camparing it to a noctua nh-d14! Well not working that well for me!

  • can u please tell me if its gonna be stable if i over-clock mine to 4.0 GHZ with CPU cooler cooler-master v6 gt, 700W power supply, cooler master 942 case which has one 230mm fan front, two 200mm top, one 200mm side, one 140mm back with 8GB DDR3 RAM and my room is pretty cool?? let me know asap please and thanks!

  • I would agree with fuzzy. But because you asked me about this, I went out and bought an A70 to put on my q6600 just to test it. I'll post some vids here soon. But I got really good temps with the A70. I don't get that much of a difference between core 1 and core 2. IDK. Maybe it's his cpu.

  • @civixboi

You didn't have to buy it "just" for ME. Ahemm. Plus the temps were like maybe 1 degree different at the full load, so...if the Prime 95 test proved stable, I don't really care, its out of my hands and I heard no complaints from the guy since I gave him his PC back.

  • Those are not bad temps at all. I wouldn't worry too much about the difference in temps. As long as the one core is not getting really hot under load the idle temp`s don`t mean too much.

  • @FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Not that I was worried, but it was weird to me. I always seen two first cores in unison with each other, and so the last two cores. But at least on load the difference was 1 C, so...who knows what the hell. I re-seated the cooler twice more, and reapplied the past, and finally ran out of the stock paste. That paste is quite thick, reminds me of Tuniq TX-3 I got. Nasty to spread, but good results.

  • @zver711 Mine were always between maybe 2-3C on all cores during idea and after putting the new cooler on mine went to about 5c hotter on core 2. I did the same things took the cooler back off new paste and reseated cooler and still the same 5c cooler on idle on core 2. But under load they are all with in 1c of each other. So I know it isn't a stuck sensor. Just strange. If I even do figure out what is causing it I will let you know. Maybe even make a video about it in case some one else has it.
