Except Eva Marton, they are all surprisingly good, even Mary Costa! I like Leontyne best. But Pauly, without stereo and without modern editing, is something else.
@AulicExclusiva Personally, I love Marton's. The least favorites for me were Alessandra Marc and Renee Fleming. Fleming is too light, and Marc sounds strident and can't take the phrase in one breath.
Great selections! The best are IMO Pauly (the best ever even with that recording sound) and Price. Renée Fleming singing "Zweite Brautnacht"? Wow, that's news for me. Where did you find it?
