Absolutely INSANE that Joanna and Dereck are gone!. Going head to head should be Jo and Dereck with Miya and Dimitry. This is why I like the judging on SYTYCD. The public still votes but it's the judges who sends home somebody. This way, the public can't ruin it and just have performers and "feel good" stories left in the competition. I'm all for those but some of us want an actual competition too. It is RE-DONK-U-LOUS that Jo and Dereck are gone!

The Salsa doesn't give you much room to move around the floor because is it a close contact dance with a lot of two handed holds. Joanna did really good for week one.

Well it doesn't really matter, not on all dances involve going 12 feet across the floor haha. That's more of a ballroom routine than a latin, in my opinion and as far as i've seen anyway.

I thought she was really good, give her a break, it was only week one. The jive could have been better, but both Joanna and Derek admitted they were nervous. So she isn't a Mya, Aaron or Donnie, Who is? Should everyone else just step aside and let the top three have a dance off?

I'm really sorry, but some of you don't know what chemistry is if you think they don't have good chemistry. I agree Kim and Derek's was outstanding, but I'm sure Joanna and Derek will have great chemistry too. Derek's had good chemistry with all his partners so far and they were all great dancers. I'm sure Joanna won't disappoint, the jive...just wasn't her dance,but that's alright cuz I just know they'll knock that samba right out of the park. :D

I hope Joanna will make a comeback, next week, their jive was underscored, Derek did a lot of difficult choreography too, its obvious they have chemistry in this dance, so they need to find it again.

My opinion...an over rated performance. My bigger question is...why doesn't Derek ever get an older actress, model, hasbeen, whatever? It looks like DWTS always gives him young and attractive partners (sort of like they did with his sister). Doesn't seem fair to me. If he is that great a dancer I'd like to see him

prove it.

Well is he a great dancer and I think he proves it every week. A great "teacher" would be able to teach old people and hasbeens, but you can only go so far with old folks without breaking them. And Derek is a crowd favorite, so he's most likely going to get someone with potential. Call it unfair if you want to, but I call it television.

Derek is my favorite pro dancer, but I just don't like Joanna. She did alright. I don't Know why there jive isn't posted yet, but she didn't do that hot this week. I just really miss him and Kim that was chemistry! They always looked like they were having so much fun. I hate to say it but I think the final three will be Mya, Aaron, and Donnie. Lil Kim wasn't a model. In fact, she was short, so there was a disadvantage. I'm pretty sure no one expected much from her. Maybe Derek is just a good teacher. And Derek is a fan favorite, so you can expect the fan favorites to get potentially good dancer so they dont get kicked out too early. It's reality tv - if you want fair, go to a public dance contest or something.

Your right. He and Mark always get the best performer. When they decide to give them someone they actually have to work on, that's when Derek and Mark will decide to leave the show for their band. People are finally waking up to the fact that Derek always gets a easy partner.

You're so wrong. You obviously haven't looked at past seasons. Jennie had a lot of work to do in the beginning and Derek helped her through it. Shannon Elizabeth was an ok dancer and she needed work. Models don't have any dance experience so it was surely hard work that got Brooke and Joanna to do so well. As for Lil'Kim, he and her just worked real hard each week, but they didn't get a 30 ever. (shoulda tho) I hope that cleared things up.
