It's just awesome. That said, does it seem to anyone else that the loss of the stick shift is rather soul-killing? Yes, the paddles are the fastest way to get around a track in F1, but should you give a shit on the road? I think if you're going to use these trannys (looks like they're here to stay), then use a stick shift like Enzo intended,

However, street cars are just that - and there is no reason to use paddles on the street unless you're racing, which of course is big trouble. Paddle shifting is soulless: no clutch, no stick, no matching of revs to gearbox, etc. There is some irony here, no? People talk about Ferraris as if they are at times living beings but shifting with paddles and no clutch takes away greatly from the experience.

Yes, a little lacking in soul, but perhaps he wanted to bring that track experience to the street in a purist sort of way, to give the people a sense that "what I'm driving is a race car" and not "this is a very fast street car." Dangerous to race on the road, to the driver and innocents, but I would have hoped for them to race on tracks.

I drove in one and its a good ride, its extremely fast and loud. However, overall, the problem is that this car (as with all these new age sports cars) is that its pretty much a automatic transmission. That makes the car less fun to drive and less experience. If I'm going to drop $400k on a car, I don't want to spend something that even Kim Kardashian could drive.
