Ugh people... Let me set things straight... This is not metal... I have this problem with my friends, metal is stuff like Lamb Of God and Cannibal Corpse. This, this is hard rock. Just below metal, unless you think the ladder goes metal, heavy metal, and then death metal. In that sense, this would be metal, but it's technically hard rock.
The intro kinda has that old school Megadeth sound to it. But I really like the song. I guess some songs always sound like some part of another song... There are just so many somgs and influences out there...

I think that ATR hates my friend, this came out when he was having a fight with a girl he had a crush on for 4 years (well more like she hated him for a month and he kept trying to make her forgive him) and he interpreted this as even though shes wrong, it still made him feel like crap, and basically this made his situation 10 times worse xD

Honestly, one major reason for their new approach to songwriting is due to Phil wanting to give his singing a chance to shine as opposed to screaming every verse/chorus. The point I was trying to make with that, was that a band makes music of what they think is best. Loving anything they put out is something you would do if you actually truly loved them as musicians.
