Actually what you mean to say is that they have EQUAL length headers. What gives the STi and other subarus there trademark rumble is the UN-EQUAL headers. It also makes sense if you think about it. Equal=quieter=better flow. I think that the RAR has un-equal as well but I dont know so could be wrong. Most of the reason why its quieter is that its a 2.0 with stock exhaust. Not a 2.5 with 4.5" fart can. If it does have =headers thats bad ass! From a performance stand point. Gotta love the rumble!

Jap imprezzas are still 2.0

Euro and US imprezzas were bumped to 2.5 to try to combat emissions regulations and to try to increase low end torque. Both share the new Variable Valve timing technology, but the 2.0 engine delivers better through the range than the 2.5. (the 2.0 revs to 8K, the 2.5 revs to 7k)

The 2.0 emissions are 320 g/km

the S204 was limited to 600 units, the RA-R, which is even more exclusive in terms of performances is limited to only 300 units

I did not had a S204 to compare with this RA-R. But the RA-R is a S204 pushed to the limit, so the RA-R should give you better performances.

Accent or no accent, this is still one of the best places for JP car & tech news online. Personaly I like the accent, it deffintely adds a certain type of character to the show and I never have problems understanding it. Besides, everybody has differnet accents. New Yorker would find it difficult to understand a Southerner. Englishman will have a problem with a Scott, etc. You can't please everybody. If it's that big of a problem, there's always a written version of the segment on the website.
