Ivan performed two days ago at Magi-fest (one of the largest magic conventions in the country, that also invites juggler and clowns) He was hands down a better performer than most of the other performers. If they would have just let him do his routine they would have been entertained. he is a nine time world champion who wasnt given the chance he deserved
Juggling for non-jugglers in boring. It's a fact. It's also the reason that the best known jugglers are comedy jugglers because they have a way to engage and entertain their audience. Straight juggling just does not cut it anymore.

@JugglerDaniel He doesn't juggle very fast, and he's one of the best, and to people who don't know anything about juggling, he's the best they've seen. Vova should just go on this and juggle 7 knives, whioch he definitely can do.
Mario Bersousek is a very fast juggler (I'd probably place him and Falco Scheffler closely, it's hard to tell because of the different prop preferences) but I think it'd be a stretch to say he's the best. I wouldn't even say he's the best club juggler: pretty sure Vova is has that one.

I think some people are missing the whole idea. Juggling is a talent and takes a lot of practice. The judges need to pull their head out of their ass and realize it is a talent. Singing and dancing is a talent too but it doesnt always have to win.

Yes, Ivan is a brilliant performer, however in this particular performance he was neither funny nor did he display amazing feats of juggling. He didn't really get much of a chance, however that is the nature of the show and he needed to come out and get right to it.
I just saw ivan perform 2 days ago, this video does not do him justice whatsoever. he didnt even get a chance to show his stuff. he can juggle ping-pong balls with his mouth! he is truely an amazing juggler and comedian.

Definitely don't think he should have gotten through, the guy exhibited nothing WORTH a million dollars. Is juggling difficult? Yes. But in the world of juggling, what he did was not. And to straight out question the judges is poor judgment and just screams cockiness.
Lots of people get paid millions of dollars to do things that require very little talent. So can I do something worth a million dollars? Sure I can.. I'm sure I could perform a ghostwriter's lyrics into autotune a la Lil Wayne. :)

Hell, I know high-schoolers who can put on better performance. That's all I'm saying... @pado6000 All he did was 3 and 4 balls. I would agree with Brandy and Ivan if he did 6 ball juggling on a globe...unfortunately, to those of us who are in the circus/teach juggling/Renaissance fair ect. it wasn't that impressive. I suggest you look up 10 or 12 ball juggling.

Ivan is a good juggler.
However, you can not do an act where you build tension for 3 minutes and then do your big finally in a show like this.
You have to start with fire, a knife and a chainsaw, and only after that the 9 rings!

Piers will buzz a juggler for dropping a single prop but has has overlooked countless dropped notes from singers, provided they're good-looking or have a touching back story.
Pecel is a juggler. Not an acrobat. Not a daredevil. A juggler. Why should it matter WHAT he juggles as long as he does it well?
@coolnessonaplate It seems that the average person is more attracted to 'good' (whatever that may mean) singers than good jugglers. Also, singers are judged on other things by the audience than jugglers. If jugglers are judged on drops and danger, then you would have to prevent drops and implant danger!
Being a juggler myself (no fire or saws btw), Id love to see a world where it would not matter what you juggle. But on stage that is not how it always works :(
Ivan Pecel is not nearly good enough to say "I am one of the best jugglers out there". Wish Jason Garfield would get on the show and shut those assface judges. The one on the right needs to have his face cut open.

I saw this on tv and was disgusted. But, this show is about how talented you are in a minute. The only thing these guys care about is music and dance and it's hard to be technical with juggling in just a couple of minutes. Best jugglers on the show were the Passing Zone.
for this guys if you're not a singer you're out. This is not a talent show, this is american idol with perhaps some dance routines, 3 buzzes that can stop your performance.

Hasselhoff and Piers have shown how much they know about talent. These shows are doing to how much the judges like the acts - not if they are talented or not. For example the last 2 bellydancers on BGT were utter shit and they got through simply because 2 of the judges were male and got excited at seeing a curvy woman shaking her body. I hope he gets through to the finals - he's really good and was buzzed off WAY too early.
They shouldn't have buzzed so early, that was wrong. To be honest i think it's a disgrace that you have 3 judges who really don't know that much about variety and are mostly talentless. I mean hasslehoff says "and who are you" but who the fuck is hasslehoff. Just some talentless moron. This show is a terrible show when it comes to actual variety and talent, it should be called americas got singer and dancers. They should really do a talent show that excludes singers and dancers.
If you're a juggling fan then this is great... however it's hard to make juggling to appeal to a wide audience over a long period. Certainly on the British show there's never been a juggler that's done all that well. I think Piers and David are right on this (oh and BL, I think you're right too!)
If Anthony Gatto came to this show, and those two assholes would treat him like this, I would come down to their homes, torture them, kill them, and juggle with their heads. Ivan, we know you are awesome, don't worry !! :-)
I started juggling about a year ago and can do some tricks and stuff but nothing like he can. Hassellhoff and that other guy have no idea what they are talking about he is talented in juggling not it singing or anything else. On this show they should have real judges not Hollywood actors. I dont know her name in the middle but this is a time when women and their kindness really come in handy.
I...lost a lot of respect for Hasselhoff after that. He was closed minded and buzzed far too early. Ivan's response was completely justified, as Hasselhoff apparently knows nothing about juggling.
I know Ivan Pecel personally, and am a professional juggler myself. I can vouch that he IS one of the best jugglers out there. We got to work together a few years ago at Universal and his show was fantastic! As good as this was, he didn't get to show some of the more amazing things he can do. He was buzzed way too soon, and wasn't given a real chance to properly showcase himself. -D.C.

Ivan's absolutely right, he is one of the best jugglers there is, and David Hasselhof knows absolutely nothing about juggling.
David Hasselhof made his career through talking to a car, he knows the LEAST about talent on this here earth.
I believe that Ivan should have started with clubs, much larger and impressive (to the non-juggling segment of the audience), but he should have indisputably gotten through.....

@pado6000 All he did was 3 and 4 balls. I would agree with Brandy and Ivan if he did 6 ball juggling on a globe...unfortunately, to those of us who are in the circus/teach juggling/Renaissance fair ect. it wasn't that impressive. I suggest you look up 10 or 12 ball juggling.

If you want to succeed in a show like this, you need to be exiting and extraordinary from the very first second. And yet every second it should get better!!
Ivan is a good juggler.
However, you can not do an act where you build tension for 3 minutes and then do your big finally in a show like this.
You have to start with fire, a knife and a chainsaw, and only after that the 9 rings!

@MrHapiel If fire and chainsaws are what it takes to make a great act, then explain Kevin Skinner. He did nothing but sing country ballads and each performance was worse than the last, and he won.
Piers will buzz a juggler for dropping a single prop but has has overlooked countless dropped notes from singers, provided they're good-looking or have a touching back story.
Pecel is a juggler. Not an acrobat. Not a daredevil. A juggler. Why should it matter WHAT he juggles as long as he does it well?

@coolnessonaplate It seems that the average person is more attracted to 'good' (whatever that may mean) singers than good jugglers. Also, singers are judged on other things by the audience than jugglers. If jugglers are judged on drops and danger, then you would have to prevent drops and implant danger!
Being a juggler myself (no fire or saws btw), Id love to see a world where it would not matter what you juggle. But on stage that is not how it always works :(

I saw this on tv and was disgusted. But, this show is about how talented you are in a minute. The only thing these guys care about is music and dance and it's hard to be technical with juggling in just a couple of minutes. Best jugglers on the show were the Passing Zone.

Hasselhoff and Piers have shown how much they know about talent. These shows are doing to how much the judges like the acts - not if they are talented or not. For example the last 2 bellydancers on BGT were utter shit and they got through simply because 2 of the judges were male and got excited at seeing a curvy woman shaking her body. I hope he gets through to the finals - he's really good and was buzzed off WAY too early.

They shouldn't have buzzed so early, that was wrong. To be honest i think it's a disgrace that you have 3 judges who really don't know that much about variety and are mostly talentless. I mean hasslehoff says "and who are you" but who the fuck is hasslehoff. Just some talentless moron. This show is a terrible show when it comes to actual variety and talent, it should be called americas got singer and dancers. They should really do a talent show that excludes singers and dancers.

If you're a juggling fan then this is great... however it's hard to make juggling to appeal to a wide audience over a long period. Certainly on the British show there's never been a juggler that's done all that well. I think Piers and David are right on this (oh and BL, I think you're right too!)

I started juggling about a year ago and can do some tricks and stuff but nothing like he can. Hassellhoff and that other guy have no idea what they are talking about he is talented in juggling not it singing or anything else. On this show they should have real judges not Hollywood actors. I dont know her name in the middle but this is a time when women and their kindness really come in handy.

I know Ivan Pecel personally, and am a professional juggler myself. I can vouch that he IS one of the best jugglers out there. We got to work together a few years ago at Universal and his show was fantastic! As good as this was, he didn't get to show some of the more amazing things he can do. He was buzzed way too soon, and wasn't given a real chance to properly showcase himself. -D.C.
