Another good practice is to read the scripture as if it were entirely fresh and new. As if you were reading it for the very first time. Do not read it as a Catholic, Protestant, or whatever. Just read it as John or Jane Doe, then ask yourself, "What is this saying right now to me?" Peace, Ralph
