@MrFatboy719 Paint caused it. The brakes/fins had paint on it and when the train made a rollback the brakes didn't close or respond when the train went right through them. So then that is what caused the collision. But now they took off the paint and i heard they do short shots every morning before it opens to check if the brakes will respond.

this ride hurts you neck and back anyway!!! when i was there about 2 months ago the ride broke down when the restraints that hold your back, neck, and feet malfunctioned and wouldnt come lose, 4 people were held down for about an hour, in my opinion, this ride sucks and it needs to be torn down!

The first train went up the hill the second train was at the station. People were loading on the second train when they told everyone to step away from the ride and the second train came flying down from the top of the hill and slammed into the train at the station. One girl that didn't have time to get off of the ride got thrown from the ride and 9 other people on the first train suffered neck and back injuries and were taken to the hoispital, which included my boyfriend, his dad and my mom.

I have worked at Knott's for 5 years, & I'm not surprised that this happen ! with all the Stories, Rumors, Years of Histories, & Urban Legends that have fowled throw the Park over the years, this is the Latest ! Compared to the 1983 Parachute Suicide, & HammerHead Pipes & crap being held together with Duct tape, & Poor Maintenance, Pony Express was bond to have a Incident in its career sooner or later ! lets hope that the Ride that will replace Skycabin next year wont have a similar Fate !
