@Iamsoooooocrazy obviously i wasnt born in 1937. But it was one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid. A movie can, as you say, "belong" to anyone who loves it not the generation that created it. It could belong to these younger kids if disney channel wasnt around because movies like snow white would be the only disney known.
@atlantishpdream1634 Disney Channel has existed since 1977, and we certainly had our own crappy TV shows like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire. I don't think that's the problem. I think Disney films just decreased in quality from 2000-2008 and recently they've gotten overshadowed by Pixar and Dreamworks. Newer films like PATF, Tangled, and the new Winnie the Pooh look like a step forward, though.
Still, comparing Beauty and the Beast to Snow White is like comparing Toy Story to the Wizard of Oz.

I had no idea that disney channel was around that long, i only know of the shows Hannah Montana and Wizards and now crap like ANT Farm. I just think the comparison between the older Disney movies and the newer shows is so huge, with the movies seeming so different. Snow White and Beauty and and the Beast are two of my favorites. I dont really see a difference between them personally, except for the animations
