@Kotinka - I guess .russian owners are paying them a money ,thats the reason .I dont think they are any Czech or Slovak owners in KHL ..its up the you to make a law, (no foreigners in KHL ..)..it will be another CCCP...
@napajedlacek It's just a jabber. In hockey' world USSR team became famous. Politics and sport are different fields. And Tarasov, Firsov, Ragulin and others won practically always...
The win was virtually to no avail, since prior to that game the Czechs narrowly lost to Canada, which meant the Soviet Union would dominate the tournament, with Canada finishing in third.
@BaumerPaulGefreiter - Yes ,but Czechoslovakia - USSR was a huge rivalry ,political at most .I love Russian people ,they were enslaved by the judeo bolshevik commies for 80 years..,so I feel for them.If we beat USSR and dont have a medail ,for the fans back home we would have been a moral winners!
@napajedlacek what a load of crap...Technically the Evil Empire dissolved 20 years ago, yet Russia is still the same ol' totalitarian thugocracy with a inferiority complex the size of Siberia and a threat to anyone unfortunate enough to be its neighbour or in close proximity.
@BaumerPaulGefreiter I was 8 back then, and I remember my parents crying when we won. Nobody cared that we didn't win the gold. All that mattered was that we beat Russians who occupied our country back then. My mom who is hardly a sport fan was literally near collaps in the last minute. This was the biggest win ever of Czechoslovakian hockey. No foreigner will ever be able to understand what went on in our hearts. Even though they beat us with tanks, we beat then back - in war called hockey
@micanut48 -thats must have been unbelievable feeling .I have heard from my parents ,who were yooung at that time...-this match meant a lot to them ..-- right after it ..provocateurs in Prague Wenceslav square broken glass in Soviet airlines ,Aeroflot and secret police started rounded up people,..-normalization started and we were doomed for another 20 years,...:-(
@napajedlacek I don't think we got out of doom yet - now the society reaps the "fruits" of low morals that were introduced by communist regime. I contemplated return back home after so many years in US but I am really disappointed to see that the entire nation is deeply misguided, corruption is rampant, and socialism is still very much present as it destroys society from top down. Sad, sad story of our nation.
@micanut48 -yes,but you have a same marxism in US these days .Its a cultural marxism =political correctness ....and fruits of it is multicultural society with mass immigration .US is doomed same as western Europe.
@napajedlacek I absolutely agree. US has been on decline for long time, and not just in last 50 years. The start of the decline can be traced all the way back to these important dates: 1868 (New Constitution was secretly rewritten, and although never ratified by states, it changed a free men into subjects). 1913 - arrival of Federal Reserve Bank. 1933 - FDR executive order declaring all US citizens the enemy of the state. 9/11/2001 -complete destruction of last freedoms in US. It is very bad.
@micanut48 - yes, spot on .,expecially 1913 and creation of private bank Federal Reserve was the major blow.
Cultural Marxism ,multiculturalism ,finishing off everything our christian white ancestors created.Whats next ?Jew world order - Rothschild empire of global government is coming.....soon:-( they wait for the time ,we ( sheeple) will beg them for help ..:-( Its sad.-- some poeple just too preocupied with football,TV and sex..;-(
@micanut48 I actually think ,one day you might move back to Czech ,because they dont experience with killing diversity, multiculti politics ..,so as a race and culture ,we are still together,cohesive...as a group .
I dont know where u live,..,but ..I ve spent 10 years in states ,and people are just so naive and believe what they hear on traitors media channels.Czech rep has problems,40 years are so deep in poeople minds.-jelousy ,money hungry ideas,no religion..
@micanut48 -I live in London ,Iam economic immigration ....,we got worst off ,no green cards,no advantages...,but we had to leave ,no jobs outside of Prague...People in Czech seem to me ,they would anything for money ...,its crazy sometimes.Morals are not there, but they all brainwashed by the media ..
@napajedlacek "we got worst off ,no green cards,no advantages" - take it as a measure of pride that you did not ask for someone else's money to support you. It is harder that way but the immense comfort in appreciating the fact that you are fully independent, proud man, and that should triumf over any hardship. It took me a while to grasp it all because I was at first blinded when I came to US in 85' but I was able to see through the horseshit. Good luck, brother.
@micanut48 -yes ,I told to u guys a lot in Denver- - none of us could go back ,only my parents could come to US for visit.
economic emigration was tough ,but you got a point. My friends still live there, and I dont think all of them gor married to US citizen....so its the same.,one problem ,and zionist Homeland Security could make them problem. UK is not better than States ,but at least I can visit my parents almost every month.good luck to u too and if u want to talk more on skype ,we can J.

The game began about a 15 minute delay because the USSR did not have the players skate guards on the ends.

It was the first time since 1960 that the Soviets had even lost a single game in Olympic ice hockey competition.
Only once more before the break-up of the former USSR did the Russians lose an Olympic hockey game: The famed 1980 U.S. upset.
