Hi "orienkorean", trying to track down a copy of this film on DVD or VHS or ANY format. Tried writing the poster via the Indieful ROK blog but they said "orienkorean" no longer was working with them. I know there are versions of this song on other albums be really want to find a copy of this version that appeared in the film.
pleasee anyone knows name of this album?? i would do a kill to know. I have to buy it!! I dont wanna say im desperate :P but im kind of :P anyone who knows it? I will be thankful to eternity!
Well this song is on 신중현과 엽전들 1 (Shin Jung Hyeon Gwa Yeop Jeon Deul 1- Shin Jung Hyeon and Yeop Jeon 1) album and 미인 (Mi In- Beautiful) / 생각해 (Saeng Gak Hae- I Think) / 저여인 (Jeo Yeo In- My Beautiful Woman) / 설레임 (Seol Le Im- Flutter) (1st Original Version) album.
You can buy it on ebay: search for "Shin Jung Hyun" and go down to "SHIN JUNG HYUN & YUP JUNS - 1ST ALBUM CD *SEALED* RARE".
Fucking amazing, I had no idea that Korea had a rock scene that early. I thought it had come over from Japan in the mid 80s, but I guess they imported it straight from America and Europe in real time...
That may be accurate but there were way more rock bands and singers in America even before the Beatles. An example would be Elvis. Its very safe to say the first sign of rock was made in america by a group of black kids. When it comes to rock music. The UK and America were the forefronts in creating the genre. Thats not to discredit Shin Jung Hyun's story of bringing rock music to koreans. Hes a legend.
He passed away last year. Many people paid a visit on him. A lot of people don't know how much souls are in the Korean beat. Try the "Korean traditional folk" songs dates back 600 years ago You can feel the pain.

For most guitarists, they say they grow better with age.
But in Shin's case...not really.
But when in his prime, I think that's when he really rocked.
up there with santana and clapton.
He's just lost the passion for music (not literally) but more like the fire for it.
in this video you can feel the emotion he puts into it.
Definitely a legend and one of my favorite musicians.
