I'm thinking of getting a dog soon, and I was wondering if you could tell me if basset hounds would be a good type of dog if your a single person.

@dpraderio1 I am not sure I can answer that question. It would all depend on your life style. Like most dogs they like to be around their people. IMO basset hounds are great dogs for any type of person or family. I know I will live forever with basset hounds. If you do adopt a basset hound please rescue one. There is one or two basset rescues in every state. If you want more information on rescue google basset hound rescue and then the name of your state. Thanks for asking!

My Basset Hound Lexis Marie had her own seat on my old couch with the end seats able to turn into reclining seat and I remember one time I sat in her seat leaning back in recliner mode and would not move she got so mad at me that she ran to the other side of the couch, ran back towards me, literally flew into the air and gave me a Basset Hound belly buster.

I also have the Basset and nice furniture and have built every baricade imaginable complete with bungee cords, books, chairs, baby-gates and everything you can think of. YES... FUTILE! But damn... I love my cheetos-smelling dog!
