When I first heard about this I was in Afghanistan and my mom told me to look it up and watch the video. I loved the words from the start, but really what hit me was when I seen the message on a pic that was put in the video.

This is not my brother David Rice, but I have to say I cried when I heard it. There have been so many fallen heroes that I believe is pointless. I know many do not agree with me on this but our children are dying and leaving loved ones behind and for what. There is alot that needs to be taken care of in our own country that wouldn't cost these senseless lives to be lost

I've been a huge fan of this song for years, ever since I heard Mandy Moore sing it on "Christmas in Washington". I'm so freakin happy to finally know who wrote it. I must say that I even like your version better. Thank you for creating one of my favorite songs of all time! p.s.
