  • Aria was a bit too scary, dramatic and showy...but overall, great job on the video!!

  • That aria was way too experimental for my taste.

But it is nice that you play such a wide variety of different styles.

  • It's 50 years old

  • That is nice, it is still too experimental for me :)

But hey, different people have different tastes.

  • My sister is Nina Perlove and we attended the concert. Your posts are terrific and you speak very intelligently for such a young person. Keep up with your music and commentary. We like your posts!

  • Thank you!

  • Great job! OMG the Mason Bates piece did he actually fnd a way to combine my love of underground house and electronica with my love of classical music?!! :c)

  • Very good video, and you have a nice skirt.

  • Loving your daily updates! Great way to follow the "Amazing Adventures" of the YTSO. Keep 'm coming :)

  • Great video, Caeli! That Bates piece was really fun to play.

  • Man, i really wish I had my bass clarinet when the auditions were taking place.. would have loved to try to be a part of that.

  • Well done - Gene

  • Look at the face of that violinist at 2:34 .. LOL...

  • haha i was going to say the same thing.. lol he looks so scared!

  • Thank you so much for your vlogs. They are as much a personal viewpoint of your experience as they are a documentary insight into The Making of... it's awesome - the positive experiences that everyone is having, and the whole project itself.

    With love from Perth, Australia.

  • Your Vlogs have been great! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

  • the guy playing the piano, is he in the orchestra? i think he is from Italy.

  • Yes, he was featured on a video that was broadcast during the concert.

  • are you serious? the pianist from Italy wasn't able to go to New York? why?

  • No, he was in the orchestra. They did a profile on him for the documentary being made about the YTSO, and it was broadcast during the concert.

  • oh, ok. my mistake. he played a very small roll in the orchestra right? i mean like i couldn't hear any sound of the piano. ps. both toy piano and real piano

  • but your very lucky..playing in an orchestra at this age.. i wish i can be in some orchestra someday

  • I swear the horns keep messing up the glissandos at the end.

  • Can't wait to see the coverage. Is it coming before the morning?

(I mean, morning there, of course. It's already half past 8 over here.)

  • I am tired of Cziffra's Bumblebee transcription!

  • AND THE BATES PIECE WAS INSANE! That was so amazing! AHHH! The entire performance was legendary! I won't ever forget this- completely inspiring!

I got interviewed when I left too- hopefully I'll be on tv haha

The Jazz violinist was so hip- perfect for that piece IMO

  • I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! Wasn't it thrilling? I wish I had been able to meet you! i LOVED the bates as well

  • Caeli- it was amazing.

I'm honored to have participated in such an event.

I didn't like the Cage piece, but loved, loved, loved everything else. Congratulations to EVERYONE!

My favorite was Tan Dun's rendition of "Eroica" - i thought it made the night.

UGH! This is how we will achieve world peace! Music!

    This is the future!

There was no Beethoven in the score- was the last "surprise" piece Beethoven?

THANK YOU YOUTUBE! Yuja Wang rocked!!

  • very good documentation on this piece, I know for one thing. you being at a very young age getting all this info is very good.. please keep up the good work.. I wish I had to submit a video audtion piece I would of made it..

  • have you got the concertmaster from tan dun's piece youtube account?
