  • It's not a bad song or bad film (especially compared to some of the later seventies ones or Die Another Day). They're just so forgettable. Besides trying to kill Bond, Scaramanga has some other scheme & I can't for the life of me remember what it was. It involved alternative power or something (though I can remember it involved a dwarf & the sheriff from Live & Let Die was in there for some reason). This is a good theme but it'd just not all that catchy.

  • this movie is a little stupid but theres undoubtedly worse films in the series but this films got a decent song a great villain, dark music and moments etc.

  • she has Amazing Voice

i love the song and the movie :)

  • "he cums just before the kill" whoa.

  • Live & let die is the best song, this is good too, but goldfinger better :)

  • @tjCooper88 Maybe even worse than Quantum of Solace. At last, listening to the Beatles without earmuffs is like drinking Dom Pérignon '53 at a temperatue above 38 degrees.

  • @swansob eat shit

  • scaramanga hunts in libya

  • I'm awaiting all the gaddafi jokes...

  • @nonecks Saddam had a Golden gun as well. They look nice but don't seem to do much good for these idiots. Scaramanga's was a nice piece though.

  • @rtt470 Yeah, but we didn't take out Hussein and Guddafi with 007-type stealth, detective work, and lethal precision. Instead, we just dropped thousands of pounds of bombs on their heads and annihilated thousands of innocent civilian lives in the process.

... kind of cowardly, don't you think? Plus, we trained Hussein as a CIA agent and later gave him his biochemical technology.

Anyway, I'm not disagreeing with your point.

  • Alice Cooper wrote a song titled "The Man With The Golden Gun" in hopes it would be used for the movie. It wasn't.

  • @movetherunner nobody cares

  • If you get to sing a Bond intro song, youve made it !

  • @mrstevehartman ... definitely.

  • Terrible movie, irresistible theme song.

  • @LaBruxinha not so terrible, live and let die was worse xd

  • @LaBruxinha I like the movie; I think that it's one of the most underrated 007 films, more sardonic, ironic, and erotic than most, visually eccentric, and featuring Roger Moore at his toughest. Regardless, we certainly agree about the theme song.

  • taking nothing away from Lulu, but I just picked up a copy of muscle of love by Alice Cooper and love his version better, I guess Lulu's was more jazzy, Alice's more rock. All good! Love all the Bond movies esp the early ones. Thanks for posting

  • @dicko195 But Bond is totally a jazz guy. It fits the tone of the movie so much better. (Probably why they used it in the movie)

  • @ShaiTan931 ... agreed; I love the brassiness, the seductively jazzy sense of a fetish. Plus, you have that funky, wah-wah guitar that transcends musical genres.

  • 0:38 cut to song

  • Shame this was never a hit in the USA.

Maybe because nobody in the US knows who Lulu is/was.

  • @MDCSWildcats86 I think more people would have known if someone had bothered to tell them it was the blonde chick who sings in "To Sir, With Love"

  • R.I.P John Barry! You were great!

  • R.I.P John

  • Shut your cakehole! @ MacGyver666go listeen 2 - Phylis Hyman's - Never Say Never Again - not a dry eye / or seat in the house version and then tell me that a short 'wee' ginger lassies warblings ARE N'T SHIT HOOOOT

theres so many 'if only' and 'if they' BITS it makes Bond so grooovy XX

  • I still wish the producers wouldn't have wimped out and used Alice Cooper's "Man With The Golden Gun". Much cooler song. :)

  • This song is wicked!

  • I love the double entendres in this song, like "Love is required whenever he's hired - he comes before the kill".

  • @shmuli9 It's not double entendre: in the movie, Scaramanga always goes to his mistress, Maude Adams, to make love "before the kill". I think Bond said something about it sharpens the senses or something like that.

  • ive got golden eye on the wii, cant wait to get the golden gun..no one can catch him,no hitman can match him..great tune

  • I love the grinning girl at the start.

  • SEAN CONNERY AND DANIEL CRAIG ARE THE SERIOUS 007's BUT ROGER MOORE WAS THE FUNNY AND CHARISMATIC JAMES BOND THIS ONE ,LIVE AND LET DIE AND GOLD FINGER ARE MY FAVS WITH HONORABLE MENTION TO THE THUNDER BALL THEME SONG!!! STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS.

  • He has a powerful weapon

he charges a million a shot..

    hmm sounds like a porno

  • 3 nipples and a Golden Gun

  • Now here is the Custom Gun Barrel. Nice to have the Facts... Sir David

  • Lulu song the s**t out of this.

  • roger moore was the best bond v connery for me. roge and pierce :) goldeneye, tomorrow never dies, bjorks only live twice , live n let die, and carly simon are just some of my fave themes x

  • i love this song, its so catchy

  • the bond movies songs today STINK!!! but the original bond songs are the best

  • @TOC2525 please. goldeneye and the craig movies all have awesome themes

  • @corneliab Another way to die was meh, but it was better than Die another day.

  • @corneliab craig SUCKS ANAL ASS ADMITIT.

  • @burtonrules123 No Craig is a Real man and is tough enough to be Bond so shut fuck up.

  • @charlieiscool1000 craig is NOT bond u assfuck. bond is not body builder and bond doesnt look like a sandpaper-face ugly ass like craig. he should play a dick tracy villian with that ugly mug of his. so why dont u stfu

  • One of Bond's best songs, thanks for posting

  • This was & still is a CLASSIC movie.

    1974

  • Great film aswell one of the best ones in my opinion plus a good theme song

  • gotta say the vocal on this is actually pretty flaky, but the brilliant orchestration covers it up superbly

  • Why dont they make Bond themes like this anymore? There's not been a good one for years.

  • The end credits had a different verse for the bridge, relating to the final scene of the film - likely the only Bond theme where James Bond was referenced directly in the lyrics...

  • the lyrics are so funny but awesome!

  • this is probably her last great record but I prefer morning dew if I only had to pick one.

  • never get tired of this tune, my equal fave with 'live and let die'.

  • Lyrics are superb! I could listen to this 24/7. Can't get tired of this track. Another Bond track is "Goldeneye" by Tina Turner.

  • true

    goldfinger tune is also great,

    i guess Gold(in the title)+Bond=Great tune :D

  • I like the opening.

  • this is the best bond song followed by goldfinger

  • greiiiiiiiit

  • Could someone please post ALICE

COOPER's version of this title. It's really

rare and i'm not sure whether it wasn't

    really better than LuLu's.

  • its not rare, get the album muscle of love. apparently alice cooper made the song too late

  • Love the way Lulu does this. Just knocks you out of your chair!

  • @ottowes So does scaramanga

  • The best Bond song ever - closely followed by Diamonds are Forever...

  • What a Lulu of a theme-song..

  • the best 007 song

  • Awesome title song.

Really gets you pumped, not like the newer ones... Madonna? Seriously!?

  • @Dagon17 i dont know :/ the Casino Royale one was amazin :)

  • @Dagon17 yeah I know what you mean! you can't beat the classics, not even there theme songs

  • @Dagon17 I think the Madonna one suits Die Another Day... Especially the car chase in that ice building! But yeah, the themes these days don't sound 'Bondish'

  • @Dagon17 Oh, God! Dont remind me of that shitty song Madonna did, that movie was so fuckin cheesy and cliche ridden. Really, why her? I mean Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, even Garbage was great, but not Madonna.

  • @Dagon17 die another day theme was better than another way to die...but you know my name is the best out of the 3

  • i think this is the best bond song ever ... very mod...lulu had such a srtong voice...ya know i'm suprised the supremes never did a bond theme

  • This song is great!

  • thank you gr8 job ;)
