This design would work well for me having predators around and would be able to safely have away from the house area, as you as you built it heavy enough would be geat!
My design takes all the guesswork out of building the chicken ark. It saves 5 -6 hours or more of "figuring out".
I guess my response is: How much is your time worth to you? Would you pay someone like me $3.50 - $4.00 an hour to do all the legwork for you? It's less than minimum wage.
Personally I'd make it twice as big with wheels on one side like a wheel barrow..looks too cramped for winter months

I built one similar to this. Only thing I would do differently is to NOT attach the floor so it is easier to catch the chickens.

i think if you want to build something like this the best thing to do is look at existing products but design your own.
