Where the hell was I when Leon played the Woodstock Opera House???? Advertising must not have been that great because I only lived in Wonder Lake (right next door in 03. Okay, I've got to find out how to find out about these things. By the way, the Woodstock Opera House is purported to be haunted.
Great interview...just can't get enough of that star power, His daughters are absolutely gorgeous and so is Blue. My sister helped Tina Rose with her glasses...never let on that she knew who she was. Great girls and says a lot about Leon. Hot man, man! Carol Simon
I would give anything to meet Leon. I was just watching him with Elton and I got kind of deleted but I love Leon and Elton and there is more to it than that. My heart is there and I got to know his music through a musician Gary Sloan in Anchorage AK, where I am from, but NEVER forgot him, not to this day!
Bert, congrats that you got Leon to talk. He must have not minded the subjects you breached, or he would have given you nothing or a curt answer. He spoke about the Deepfreeze film. Wow! In either a written interview or live,(can't remember where) he said, paraphasing, he never liked giving time to (interviewers) who didn't care about him, so he avoided them. He said, "I don't advise young bands to do that." You must have come across as a real fan to him. Thanks for posting.
Yes, very lucky Patsea111 - I think I've come to realize that Leon's reputation for being a man of few words is because seems to be a very private person. At first glance that might seem odd for someone who has "acted out his life on stages with 10,000 people watching" but it is true nonetheless. I would love to talk to him at greater length because I am sure he has great stories to tell and wisdom to impart. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction will be March 14th.
Oh how lucky can you be! Man, I have loved him since...wayback 1972 I think. I've been searching the net for an interview with him so I can hear him speak. I think he might be a "man of few words" and difficult to talk to. Correct? Why does he play such small venues? Is he in the RR Hall of Fame this next month? Do you have more of him?
This is kinda sad.

Saw Leon years ago at the Forum in L.A. Newly wed with his wife Mary and she ruined the evening. Got so bad we left early.

I have noticed Leon uses a computer for his lyrics.. does he have trouble remembering the words or what?

@TheBasenjiman Leon has some serious medical issues, he is sometimes in a wheelchair. Elton John is
brilliant enough to realize what a talent Leon is, they've been on a world tour together.
As far as "small" venues go, that's Leon. He loves his music, and does it wherever it's appreciated. Cate
