  • Wow!!... I hope do something like this someday!!... I love animation!!... THIS IS GREAT!! =D!

  • That's amazing

  • I don't know if you know this or not but you guys have the coolest jobs in the world!

  • 4 SECONDS OF FILM A DAY

my reaction: OH SH*T!! *jaw drops*

  • nokia i would actually like some lessons of how u do them i want to start too so u can send me letters at valentina_stopmotiona_animation@hotmail.com plz!!!!

  • The biggest one I thought I could do in the sense it wouldn't drive me crazy. This one makes me think everyone would come in and I'd be laying on the stop motion table mumbling to myself.

  • ART. <3

  • Really Nokia ? This is the best you could bring to the market ? A magnifying glass ?

  • @postal2600 Wow really? It's a microscope.

  • @TheProjectMJ A, ok. My bad. In this case yeah, it's totally relevant to a mobile phone... Where was I thinking...

  • @postal2600 I think it's more for doctors, in that case I think it'd be helpful.

  • genius

  • Nice projects now I have a mysterious wish to buy a Nokia :D

  • WOW!

    they are using macbook..

    NOKIA kudos!

  • four seconds a day!

  • Simply amazing, some of the most inspiring work i've seen in years. <3

  • @Locomikey666 Oh, wow. You, sir, are an arsehole.

  • A bad job for someone with Parkinson's ^

  • amazing!!

  • 12 megapixels??? wow that's a great camera!!!

  • @ilovefunnyvideos216 Megapixel count doesn't determine the quality of the camera; the sensor does. Nonetheless, the camera in the N8 is superb and beats all of its competitor smartphone's cameras.

  • @jelliidoonut It is the quality of the digital image however, which is effectively a measurement of the quality of a holistic camera system.

  • Woooo... That's clever funtastic!

  • luvv

  • WHY DO RICH PEOPLE USE MACS?

  • @SporeFan01234 BECUZ THEY'RE BIG FAT FAGGOTS

  • @Theowest orly?

  • @xionxiox yea

  • @Theowest GUUUURL PLEASE

  • @SporeFan01234 I'm not rich and I use a Mac. :)

  • @SporeFan01234 not rich is the keyword, but creative... and being creative usually makes you rich sooner or later...

  • great job . .

I don't know that why there were 13 dislikes ?

    It's a great video

  • @usmann090 All apple employees

  • Amazing work. *applauds*

  • crazy! it's' so cute and complicated :)

  • amazing and incredible!! i really enjoyed the animation, im into this stuff myself, i have created a stop motion of tiny cars doing things, great fun it was took along time to do just 4mins, almost finished the editing and am uploading it soon!

  • Somebody knows about the production budget?

  • Mind = blown.

  • *o*

  • The film itself wuz soo rad and this video wuz soo interesting. But I would like to know wut music they used 4 the actual film, it fit soo well with their stop motion film.

  • Amazing.

  • This is ridiculously cool

  • Could have done with almost any camera offering a enough good accuracy (about 1.3Mpix) and fit that to such lens.

The real actual great thing is the microscope attachment (cellscope) what was not used here. But it is as well possible use with any other cellphone than just N8... So N8 is not needed there at all. It is just fancy marketing and seems to be nailed down well by people (not that it is not good, it is not just amazing). The animation work was nicely done but again, not so amazing.

  • How long did the actual project take and what was the budget? Curious.

  • 214666th view, 214 being my lucky number, you know what 666 is... this is amazing tho, it must have taken forever

  • Trully artists ! Congrats

  • Still doesn't beat Rebecca Black's music video.

  • delightful!!!

  • Awesome

  • Awesome sause!!

  • Amazing!!

  • wow! that's all I can say!

  • four seconds a day!? very determined people at Aardman. good job.

  • @drewella77 they probably got paid pretty well.

  • @drewella77 That is very typical time when doing animation. It is not fast job at all if wanting to get nice smooth framerate. Thats why the computer animations has changed the whole process as it is just so much easier to work with the "models". Almost anyone can make a fast 10-15FPS animation in a day where something simple happens in 5-10 seconds. But actually doing great animations like Wallace and Gromit or Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride takes lots of time!

  • this reminded me of the Japan Tsunami...i hope all those people will end up okay.

  • @Hunt4Lifex Bad attempt at getting thumbs up. . .

  • A nurse in Uganda is not going to have a phone like that... seems like a marketing gimmick to me. Although the video was still cool!

  • @Rib5 A nurse in Uganda will probably use natural resources instead of this cool technology

  • This is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

both the video and the cause behind it

that camerascope is an fantastic invention!

  • It's amazing how strong your dedication is to this, I can't even image doing any of this, or even a small part! Many Kudos to your team, and cheers to nokia for bringing a revolutionary technology to existence.

  • I found this "making of" film far more interesting than the film itself. And the film is an example of amazing creativity.

  • is it clay and how do you create that small characters

  • @kusaiyamani you might try watching the video. I hear that's what people do on youtube

  • @kusaiyamani

They said in the video that they used a 3d printer that uses resin.

  • Comment removed

  • That creativity if fucking brilliant.

  • That technology is fucking brilliant.

  • Wow that's amazing... 4 seconds a DAY! Holy Crap!

  • It's not what camera/ phone company the four people came from, what's shocking is they have absolutely no respect for hard work. BRAVA! gentlemen, i say.

  • wow cant believe it took soo long to make something so little...

  • @kinglynx Size doesn't matter. It's the eye for detail that takes up that amount of time. ;^)

  • I'll pay 400$ for the set

  • I thought all who like to sew or knit should appreciate this micro-film.

  • the 4 dislikes are from SHUT THE FUCK UP. JUST ENJOY THE ARTWORK.

  • @LBMiller79 i disliked it

  • the 4th dislike is from FujiFilm.

  • the 4 dislikes are all from IPHONE

  • i would've gone slightly insane halfway through it. handling micro stuff AND stopmotion? yea you're gonna some patience for that

  • Mmm. Very good quality and lots if time you guys put into it! I shall let the world see your awesome work!

  • Amazing. Stop motion is such tedious work, and these guys did a fantastic job. Great marketing as well.

  • i did not know 3d printers existed

    how cool

  • Simply astonishing.

  • Incredible. These guys are animation masters.

  • one of the greatest videos I have seen!! it is really a wonderful visual experience.

Congratulations to everyone involved, also the cute voice of the girl was very nice.

  • Hello, anyone know what is the title of the background music? :(

  • call me crazy but that's my future job

  • Astonishing

  • That is very time consuming but worth it.

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • This musta taken friggin days!!!

  • 3 Dislikes...

    Canon, Kodak and Panasonic?

  • @nintendork64

    the iphone4

  • @nintendork64 now it got 4 dislikes....

Canon, Kodak, Panasonic AND NOW Sony.

  • @nintendork64 and Nikon

  • @nintendork64 dont forget Sony

  • @ryandude2448 Sony doesnt work with cameras do they? Im not sure but I think they are more into TV's and stuff like that.

  • @sirstar45 i have a sony camera

  • @sirstar45 All of the cameras that are used in TV (atleast where I'm from.) are all from Sony. Expensive little bastards lol, 50.000 euros each.

  • @nintendork64

    and sony

    theres 4 dislikes now lol

  • @nintendork64 Sony was crying so hard they couldn't touch the mouse to even press like

  • That's just really awesome. No other way to describe it

  • wow it didnt look half that complicated in the original! i wonder how much it cost to make that one commercial

  • amazing job guys.. i reckon it took you guys months for finish a one and a half minute excellent stop motion video. I admire you patience and diligence. keep it up!

  • A great 'little' testament to the art of stop motion as much as a testament to the technology. Also, there's something inherently funny about the fact that the documentary about the piece is longer than the piece itself.

  • 4:58 .. he looks SO tired

  • 4 frames a day and at 1000 they are only half-way through rofl.

  • @ihavemonkeysinmybutt actually i think he said four seconds a day. that's basically 20 frames.

  • what happens if they dropped the phone right after they finished filming the entire thing. :O

  • @VertSk8er12 that would suck :P but at that point they should be able to just take the memory chip out of it and download the information from it onto a computer.

  • i would have loved to be apart of this film

  • Dot gave 3 people fake phone numbers.

  • 3:25 "We rigged the hair too so you get a sense of momentum as she runs along" idk why that struck me funny. hahahahaha.

  • they said Noke asked them to make something with it to celebrate this new invention. so it IS an advertisement in a way.

  • Nokia really nailed this one!

  • Amazing, and with so much detail. I applaud you.

  • AWESOME!

  • Incredible amount of work and labor and attention to detail! I am stunned!

  • i've always wanted to work in stop motion. i love this.

  • Why would you do all this work for a YOUTUBE video?

  • @Nerdydolfin: I would think they work for Nokia, and the marketing boss wanted it done.

  • @Nerdydolfin because the most people are on youtube. everyone would see it.

  • @Nerdydolfin It's an advertisement. I believe they were paid for it.

  • take any phone with hi-res cmera, put on a microscope ant film the fucking dot. it's nothing special with nokia, it's just good advertising.

  • that was awesome

  • That is a shit ton of dedication. Amazing job.

  • Speechless

    Sin Palabras....

  • Cool film but Nokia still sucks.

  • Wow thats pretty amazing.

  • I always thought it was pronounced no - ke - ah

  • wow..... i didnt know how hard it is to do that

  • I love the background music.

  • that's a lot of work

  • not sure about how good the phone is ..... but the film and its makers are awesome! :)

  • There is something about Nokia that always remind me with christmas ... maybe the music

  • Wow ~

  • was it a real dead bee?

  • @ShaurntheSheep It was real. But it was found dead next to the window.

  • 2 people are from apple

  • oh joy!

  • ( don'T taX "the ricH")

FeeD thE PooR wiTh youR MiNdS

    yoU'Re obviousLy Geniuses

  • wow crazy! D: hillarious!

  • Great, really great!

I think people here don't get it. It's not about the phone, really... any camera will do.

  • @skrbicdu How is that ironic?

  • see, nokia may not be bang on when it comes to symbian - but at least they innovate. they make NEW things. they TRY.

    symbian is OLD.

everything else is just great though.

  • Simply amazing. The patience and perseverance needed to create the movie is quite heroic in itself.

  • One person doesn't like creativity

  • awesome :) great part is the set probably don't cost a thing haha

  • Wow, this was one of the few times George Pal's Puppetoon technque was practical! It's just amazing! While everyone else is concerned about the breakthrough of CGI, stop motion still has breakthroughs of its own as technology gets better.

  • LMAO this is probably the cleverest marketing campaign i have ever seen.

  • I own an iPhone 4 but I bought a Nokia N8 because Symbian^3 is open source and I do not care about applications or a streamlined interface.

  • Game plz! Oh wait Little Big Planet, never mind 8 )

  • thats amazing!! its soo hard to do

  • amazing about the technic of engineers...

  • NAW-KI-AH

  • That was bloody BRILLIANT!

What a GREAT piece of work you did on that!

  • That was bloody BRILLIANT!

What a GREAT piece of work you did on that!

  • "four seconds in a day" !!!

  • Congratulations!!

  • this is awesome.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • What camera was used to film this "behind the scenes" clip?

  • @Thunderkiss655 An Android Phone Camera XD

  • One Android user doesn't like this video!

  • Why does this video not have English subtitles even it's turned on?

Of course, there are other languages available and they are working. English isn't.

  • why cant the US get phones like this?!

  • 真的好小好小,打個噴嚏就不見了

  • Congratulations. It's so great!!!. It's a wonderfull and difficult job.

  • ooh yes sir!!

  • Nokia, Nokia nokia nokia nokia. Nokia nokia Nokia - Nokia nokia nokia. Nokia? Nokia!

  • I can really only ask...why? I mean, this is art and creative genius come together with a huge amount of determination and patience.

I'm gonna get one of these phones as a result of this quality film. I hope the video function is as good as the camera stills.

    Thanks for sharing
