someone please, tell me how i can use piano sound and pad sound both in piano roll so i can change the intonation of pad sound? i mean, how do i make a melody of pad sound and melody of piano sound the same time?

@askadetra do the piano sound first then copy and paste the notes into a new piano roll change the sound to pads or whatever and play both at the same time, if you get what i mean...makes sense to me anyways :P

FLS piano rolling songs are not that easy, specially when it comes to things like making modern eg. Hardstyle, Trance, and so. Due its not long notes as eg, Ambience, or most of epic songs. I spend alot of time trying to make Trance, but i end up the notes play so randomly cause that humans cant make acurate all things precis. Is there any way to duplicate lets say, of one section that is actually made quite acurate. So it can be duplicated ? I didnt understand much of that ...

On the piano roll tools

To the left from the pencil theres an icon that kinda reminds me of a magnet

like a U shake facing down

select that

Under there you should see selections like 1/4 1/6 and so on

Select the top one that says None

That should work

@cirlugeaa iight, you have to go to the chop thing on the drop down tool menu and make sure that the box "group notes" is not lighted. Un-light both the boxes, and make sure you go to "chop" insted of "quick chop"

My piano roll is messed up, it has long bars rather than all those little 1x1 squares or whatever they are and i dont know how to fix it. Can anyone help? i know there is a button on the right side that if i slide up and down it will make the bars into squares but than it goes REALLY REALLY slow.

@PersonSeriously The color of the note does not matter if you're a new FL user. It's basically for advanced users only. The slide makes the note.. well.. slide. Changes the pitch in the length of the slide. If it's a really short slide mark, then the note is slides fast. If it's long, it will slowly slide into the pitch and velocity of the note that the slide was hit.. Am I making sense? If not, PM me and I'll go further into detail.

How do i make it so i am able to drag the note on the piano roll, without it "automatically making it even."

for example: ill drag the note out but it will automatically drag onto the left or right of a small square, it wont let me drag it half way or 1/4th, or how ever i long i want it into the square.

@23unknown32 Yeah, I know. That's why I'm trying to help explain it. But I just thought about certain VSTs that don't use the slide. For example, ReFX Nexus does not work with the slide funtion. It makes no difference. Only Soundfonts and sounds that came with FL originally slide. From my experience anyways. But like I said.. if you need help, PM me and I'll try to help you out.

@icecoldsdc piano roll applies whatever instrument you have selected at the time... you want to find an instrument thatsound like a piano

go to your step sequencer,

right-click a channel, go to "insert" >> then for example, to get a piano sound select "FL Keys"

open the piano roll with that channel selected and you should be playing notes that sound like a piano
