  • What about pouring a shot of this into your favorite stout from some kind of crazy beer cocktail?

  • @RJPBurtonBoards haha yeah I guess you could do that for sure with this one

  • Damn that beer looks intense.

  • @LordTyrannus Intense is an understatement for this one! Cheers

  • OUTstanding!

  • @epicbeerdude THanks man!

  • did you guys finish the bottle?

  • @epicbeerdude It took me about a week but I did finish it.

  • the highest abv. i've tried was the jewbelation 14 by he'brew. 14% and it was incredible, so rich and flavorful. definitely a beer you have to share with someone

  • this aint beer! its beer flavored liquor!

  • @jamekididdleshmiddle haha yeah it was pretty hardcore.

  • Congrats on 200 Chris. Thanks for bringing the banging reviews!! PROST!!! what? 32?

  • @djmx121 THanks for watching! CHeers

  • I wish I would have looked this one up while visiting Scotland. Thanks for sharing 200 beer tastings with us. Keep them coming...Cheers!

  • @LongDogBrew No problem man thanks for watching! CHeers

  • That was a bigass beer. Congrats on 200, looking forward to the next 200.

  • @KeithsBeerReviews Thanks man I really appreciate it. Cheers!

  • A crazy beer by a crazy band of brewers! F-ing awesome!

  • @smcbrewingco Agreed sir its a nuts beer!

  • Would love to have tasted that one with you guys. That sounds like A LOT of beer to drink. Maybe in a snifter?

  • @gopher401 Yep thats what we were using for it. Yeah its a sipper but a really nice tasting one. Cheers

  • wow, this is one hectic brew! it's so pricey though, how does BD expect to sell this stuff to anyone? anyways, i see you have a bottle of the great divide 17th anniversary oak aged DIPA...just picked up one myself about a week ago, and it is fantastic! can't wait until you get to it!

  • @modestomouso1234 I think im going to be doing the 17th next week sometime. I want to get to it while its still drinking fresh. Cheers!

  • How much was the beer Chris?? Cheers

  • @realaleguide $80 US. Expensive!

  • Congrats on reaching 200 reviews, wow never seen a review of this, EXCELLENT EXCELLENT review, CHEERS

  • @realaleguide Thanks man I really appreciate it! Cheers

  • You lucky monkeys! What was the price on that 100 bucks? Great review thanks!

  • @drolretfa Nah I paid $40 but it usually goes for $80. Cheers

  • stone russian imp stout ITS BACK

  • Have you had the Toyko* from Brewdog? I opened one up last weekend and was severely disappointed

  • @tehadam I have not had Tokyo. But I have yet to hear to many good things about it haha

  • Congrats on 200! Amusing that it's a Scottish brewery brewing a Russian style beer originally developed to imitate an Irish style beer and then distilling it with a German technique to be drunk by a couple Americans. Craft brewing at it's best.

  • @capitalistraven HAHA yeah its basically a giant Eisbock. They added a whole other aspect to it though with the barrel aging though. Cheers

  • Great review Chris, the one I had at the Copenhagen beer festival was a completely different beer, since it was based on Tokyo, not Paradox. It had no smoke character what so ever, Jeppe from Evil Twin told me it was shit compared to the original. But souns like a solid brew, or should I say beer liqour. Congrats on 200, hope the next will be just as entertaining. Cheers!

  • @TheMasterOfHoppets Yeah without the smoke in this one it would be just a big boozy mess from what I can tell. The peat really adds a nice character to it and helps cut the booze in it. Cheers

  • * 200 review episodes (d'ho!)

  • @dbc6060 Thanks man. Cheers!

  • congrats on 200 vids :)

  • how much was it for that one bottle?

  • @StephenDickerman Ran me $40 but it retails for $80 other places. Called in a favor so to speak.

  • @BeerGeekNation that's a bit ridiculous. but if they can get away with charging it, then whatever. and congrats on 200 videos.

  • kick ass

  • @lGaming Thanks man cheers!

  • About time you tried this, was wondering when you were going to get around to it, always saw that on your shelf. Ironically had some Utopia today but this one sounds more interesting. Cheers to big beer!

  • @imbibehour haha I was saving it for this review. To expensive to not present it with some fanfare :) Cheers!

  • CONGRATZ! Can't believe it's been 200... Keep up the good work. Cheers

  • @JakobSchweikart Thanks man I really appreciate it. Cheers!

  • @timus1119 Indeed sir indeed! Cheers!

  • congrats man! for another 200!!

  • @emiliano17ar Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. Cheers!

  • congratulations!!! Best beer channel ever!!! Thanks chris:)

  • @old12school3 Thanks so much! I do it for you guys. Cheers!

  • Hmm, if its kind of smoky it sounds like I might like it, at least better than I did the Worldwide Stout.

  • @SupraWes Yah this is a completely different beer then WWS.

  • yeah that beer sounds crazy .... and interesting indeed .... it almost seems like its own styal of beer with the super high ABV. but how much did you pay for it agen ?

  • @Goldbloodd I paid $40 for it but it retails for $80. I got cut a deal ;)

  • Nice work Chris. Love the reviews. Congrats!

  • @Rustocaps THanks man I really appreciate it. Cheers!

  • Great review as always! I want to give this one a try just for it's uniqueness. Where can I buy a t-shirt?

  • @MajorBuddah Yeah its a bucket list beer for certain. Its really one any beer geek should at least try at some point. Im going to start selling shirts soon! Cheers

  • Congrats on 200 man. Epic beer. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of BGN, and here's to another 200 videos! Cheers!

  • @TheEndosymbiosis Thanks man! Meet all of the other BGN'ers has been a really cool side effect of this BGN thing haha. Cheers!

  • Think I'll stay a hop head. Interesting review....good job.

  • @pinkync Its worth trying if you ever get a chance but it wont convert you from a hop head :)

  • Great job

  • @loggerlance THanks man. Cheers!

  • You know, it's kind of weird how some people can drink hard liquor all day like it's their mother's milk but they won't touch a beer that's above 7% ABV, and some others love to drink the strongest, meanest DIPAs or imperial stouts but they can't stomach hard liquor. I'm one of the latter. I'm glad to hear that this beer is more of a beer than hard-liquor (despite being one-third pure ethanol), and therefore it's not a burden for us beer enthusiasts to drink it.

  • @AlvinHDavernport HAHA It really is 1/3 ethanol haha. Never thought of it that way. Yeah its def a sipper but the beer components are there. Its a really nice beer that tip toes on the edge of being a scotch. Cheers and thanks for watching.

  • I'm going to see if they distribute in Southern California.

  • @kamikazeace00 They most certainly do. Cheers

  • Awesome review as always!! Congrats on 200!!

  • @NYRfan4ever Thanks man! Cheers

  • How do I get a T-Shirt?

  • @doughanson78 Im going to be selling them very soon. Stay tuned! Cheers

  • I heard that this tastes similar to Samuel Adams Triple Bock (soy sauce/sherry/tobacco), have you tried Triple Bock?

  • @5iveStarGeneral I haven't had the Triple Bock but I have heard sketchy things about it. There was def a sherry/soy character to this one but I think it def had more of a scotch meets imperial stout vibe to it. Cheers!

  • Well done with the 200th video and good job staying upright for the whole review!

  • @bluelebowski HAHA thanks. We only had about 2 oz a piece. I actually still have half the bottle in the fridge!

  • Nice video! Congrats on your 200th! keep em coming! Cheers!

  • @americanbeertv Thanks man I really appreciate that. Cheers!

  • Congrats on 200! Great review guys!

  • @Tantrum777 Thanks man!

  • Ah damnit, you mentioned peated Scotch. Now I need to try this one.

Congrats on 200 man! It's been a run ride over the past year or so.

  • @StumpyJoeJr I honestly think its worth the money. Its a bucket list type of beer.

  • It looks like a Scotch because it IS a Scotch! LOL, Well not really, but I don't consider this a beer. At 64 proof it's practically a liquor. To me, the world's truly strongest beer is the Samichlaus because it's brewed with beer yeast and brewed as a beer. Beers like this are brewed like spirits. They also fail to meet the spirit of the definiton of beer - something you can kick back and enjoy without breaking the bank.

As a novelty beer/spirit hybrid it's certainly an interesting product tho

  • Congrats on 200 Chris, love the show!

    Cheers!

  • @223exitwound Thanks man I really appreciate it! Cheers

  • Basicly someone did`nt have a clean keg for fermenting and used an old oak scotch keg , Looks mean keeps ya from drinking all in one spot , The hangover would be like owning a rented head . LOL

  • @MrMrtiki Exactly! Yeah I still have this beer in the fridge actually Ive been sipping on it all week. Really epic stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrMrtiki No I got this from New Jersey actually in the US. They started importing here a few months ago.

  • @MrMrtiki Yeah it was. I retails for around $80 US here. I got it for less then that but that is the average price

  • @BeerGeekNation $80.00 for one this is the type of brewha ya spoon feed your buds when your getting low on the good stuff one bottle go long ways , It`s like drinking Dis Rono Ameretto sweeet but very powerful this is what I use to add flavor to my Oop`s drinks / brew secrets.

  • @MrMrtiki Ah man i am soooo using this! "The hangover would be like owning a rented head " Hahaha

  • OH NO YOU DI'INT!!! lol This is awesome.

You're gonna get so many views on this video.

  • @BeerichiTuba Ha yeah ive been saving this one for a while now. I think this is probably the closest look of this beer on the net :)

  • @BeerGeekNation Ya I think so too. The other reviews haven't been thorough enough as this one, me thinks. I like how you said "stout and whisky" after all the describing. It's probably like the Smokehead Paradox then, except for me the Smokehead Paradox is in the A range.

  • I live in Scotland and haven't seen this anywhere. I am dying to try it!

  • @ambassador7 HAHA I know they only release it every once in a while but you should def be able to get it. Let me know what you think. Cheers!

  • @ambassador7 I don't know where you live, but if you're ever around St. Andrews they used to have it at this store called Luvians.

  • 200!

  • Good vid Chris.......you described it better than i could have. I just couldnt justify the flavor for the money :)

  • @wisehybred Yeah its a pricey beer for sure. It has always been on my beer bucket list so I just pulled the trigger on it. Cheers
