Final Cut Pro - Layering Video

at the end of your video  you had the phone effect, on final cut pro x, it has to be done on multiple levels. is there a way to add a transition (ie: blur) to both clips on multiple levels? i haven't been able to figure it out

how do i make one thing appear that it is on top of another thing. I recently learned how to make a lightsaber effect and my saber is on the hand farthes from the camera, at tims being blocked by my body. When my hand moves back, part of the saber must be "behind" my body so it moves with the handle, but the saber part always appears in front of the original clip. Please help me out on this one, I've been looking all over for a video on how but can't find one.

You could say that if one of the viewers really wanted to get into layers should try using After Effects, not saying you don't know that, but it is MUCH EASIER on After...

And you have much control and possibilities with after when taking about layers...
