I went to Tombstone six months ago. It's about 25 miles off I-10, The first thing you see is Boot Hill to the left, as the road takes a ramp up to the town. I'll post my pics on my channel for anone to check out. It's amazing how the town is in the middle of nowhere (even after all these years) and they depend heavily on tourism. So go see them!
"There's No Place Like Home" tour got to get to Kansas State Fair!! Please go to KICKSTARTER webpage and search for band "Pullman Standard." Watch the video and PLEASE make a few $ pledge to help the band get from North Hollywood to perform in Kansas.
god i love this movie.i have loved westerns since i was a kid.this movie has a great and huge cast led by kurt russell who was at his bad ass best.val kilmer. sam elliott ,powers boothe and michael biehn were also great in the film.this was an instant classic.
Sound tracks for movie trailers have come a long way; this track is total shit. Give me 10 minutes and a bowl of weed and I'll find you the most epic track ever to fit this footage--love this movie.
Hmm. This trailer really doesn't depict the greatness of this movie. It comes across like it's just some sort of summer action movie. I suppose it OK given the time it was made but, if you are one of the poor souls who has not seen this flick, ignore this trailer and just watch the film.
This trailer doesn't do this movie any justice, this movie is badass. One of my favorites of all time. Whoever was in charge of making that trailer should be sued for revenue lost, why would you put modern music in the backround of a trailer for a historical western? btw that music does not appear in that movie
I didn't get to see this movie in the theater. I saw it on videotape. I watched Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp first and it made me not like Wyatt Earp. I didn't like his personality. I finally saw this one many years later and it's my favorite. Kurt Russell made me like Wyatt Earp again.
To anyone wondering if this is a good movie I guarantee it is a great film and worth every minute of your time. This movie showcased Val Kilmer's talent as an actor. It'd be nice if he were still doing these kinds of films.
This is my favorite western move. It was epic. I think watching this ruined every other western for me, cause I hold this one up as my standard. I watched a trailer for the new True Grit trailer and thought it was going to be similar: a man riding out for justice to rescue a girl from evil men. When I watched the movie, I realized they cut and pasted different dialogue to different scenes to make it more dramatic. This trailer didn't have to do that. It was epic enough by itself.
haven't seen this movie, but I do like sam elliott, kurt russell, and val kilmer. so is the film any good or is it a case of great casting in a bad movie ?
@tonyocch i totally agree with you this is the best western i have seen but i did really like that movie 3:10 to yuma but its not on this level of great acting
@JOTHOMPSON251 The director said he read about the ok corral gunfight, then wrote the script to match what happened, who got shot in what order, so that we got to watch an actual re-enactment of events.
i was watching this 2 days ago on VHS and i noticed two scenes in the trailer were not in the movie like when powers Boothe throws the liquor into the fire the was not in there. nonetheless this movie is badass
I just watched this movie yesterday, and some parts made me say, damn, the state of Arizona hasn't changed a bit since 1880's. These days, the "Cowboys Gang" is the Zetas and Sinaloa drug cartels from Mexico. And shootouts between outlaws and police still happen like that out in the desert.
Southern Arizona. Stil a true American Wild West. (And Bear Down UofA Wildcats!)
if you really like westerns one of the movies i was able to catch this past year was OPEN RANGE with robert duvall and Kevin costner. and suprisingly costner does a pretty decent job. i highly recommend it.
@Fujikorific They did take a lot of liberties, but surprisingly the most unbelievable stuff is actually true.
For instance, when Wyatt wades into the river, 10 guys firing on him, and he walks away without a scratch. That was real.
Or Wyatt being the only person involved in the OK Corral to not be injured. Also real. Everyone else was on the ground, injured, and Wyatt Earp was still standing. Unharmed.
@17thknight Also, you should add the part where Ike throws his hands up and Wyatt says "this fight's commenced, get to fightin' or get away", that really happened and word by word. When Doc's dying, he really did say "I'll be damned" because his feet were bare and he thought he would die with his boots on. Like you said, they did take some liberties, but a lot of things in the movie really did happen.
@equil1984 Absolutely agree with you. The Oscar for best supporting male went to Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive and at least in my opinion Kilmer was better and he didn't even get a nomination.
@bobivd6688 The Fugitive was a great movie though. I have to agree, Kilmer should have won the Oscar. I liked Quaid in "Wyatt Earp," but Kilmer in Tombstone was just awesome. Someone has to find a way to bring back the 90's way of making movies.
I didn't want to change your opinion so calm down! What happened happened and it can't be changed. Would it be okay for you if I said: "In my opinion Kilmer is not the best actor in the world and did not deserve the Oscar"?
@GioFan201051 val kilmer was cool, charismatic, and overwhelmed everyone on the screen in this movie. he truly carried it, even more so than it's star, kurt russell. he was immensely likeable yet was a cold motherfucker who was truly intimidating. now i love tommy lee jones, but there is nothing special about his performance in the fugitive. he plays the character just like he does every other character. dry, sarcastic, and really doesn't give a shit about anyone else.
