Since this video has been posted, CERN has published data that does not support the anthropogenic model of of global warming. Their findings can be found in the online magazine Nature.
All the scientists do NOT say evolution happens. You are being lied to if you believe that. I have a list of 3000 Ph.D scientists in America who question or deny evolution. And a larger list is available with 150,000 scientists.
@Pilgrim1411 According to Newsweek in 1987: “By one count there are some 700 scientists with respectable academic credentials (out of a total of 480,000 U.S. earth and life scientists) who give credence to creation-science…” That would make the support for creation science among those branches of science who deal with the earth and its life forms to be about 0.14%.
@AronRa According to these figures, 99.86% of scientists in the immediately relevant fields of biology and geology 'evolutionist', while 99.44% = 'pure'. Comparatively less than 1% deny evolution, and they do so only due to religious obligations held before they achieved their degrees. For other results check out 'project Steve'.
@AronRa The pathetic lists of anti-evolutionary scientists are made up largely of medical doctors and other fields not immediately relevant to evolutionary studies. Most importantly remember WHY the overwhelming majority of scientists in all fields accept evolution: It is a demonstrable fact which can be independently verified through many different fields of study.
@AronRa Why does the scientific community reject creationism as unrealistic mythology? Because it is a total failure. There has never been one occasion in the history of science when assuming supernatural explanations has ever improved our understanding of anything. There has never been a single verifiably accurate argument of evidence indicative of supernatural creation over biological evolution, and no way to distinguish faith-based assertions from the illusions of delusion.
@AronRa Many of those scientists listed by creationists are actually evolutionists who acknowledge that they 'question' evolution, but these are in the sense that they test it, or challenge their own hypotheses. So the lists of creationist scientists are as dishonest as the creationists who compiled those erroneous lists. But even if they were legitimate, science is not a democracy, and I alone could prove 150,000 creationists wrong.
@AronRa, 1987 is a long time ago. We have increased our knowledge tremendously since then. Creationism is feared because it threatens the modern paradigm and control system.
@Pilgrim1411 You're right that we have increased our knowledge tremendously since 1987. It is a wonder anyone manages to believe in creationism anymore. How do you imagine that the impotent failure of long-disproved reality denial could be 'feared'? Are you a poe?
@AronRa, I heard that the magazine "Nature" I think in 1997, said that 39% of the top 1,000 American scientists in America deny or question evolution. I suspect the numbers are much higher now. Science today is a political thing. The old materialist worldview of reality is being replaced by a new paradigm of creationism and spiritual reality.
@Pilgrim1411 No, creationism is not encroaching on real science, and the reason is still that creationism is a total failure without any factual support or practical application. It is construed entirely out of logical fallacies and circular arguments routing back to assumed conclusions. Every aspect of it is either untestable and unsupported, or what can be tested has already been proven wrong. There is not an element of it which is verifiably true, and I'd be happy to prove that to you.
@Pilgrim1411 Here in the US, Christianity is in decline, and atheism is the fastest-growing demographic. Methodological naturalism is NOT being replaced by belief in magic, and there is no such thing as a 'spiritual reality'. You and I really need to talk in a more open forum, because you've obviously been lied to about everything you've been fooled into believing. There is a forum I use for conversions/conversations of this type. Shall I send you a link?
@Pilgrim1411 I suspect what you really read was that around 40% of scientists believe in a god of some sort. I remember reading something to that effect. However that is of course not the same thing as denying or "questioning" evolution (i suspect you mean a wholly different thing than I would when using the word "question". Check out Arons 1st foundational falsehood of creationism for more details.
no disrespect to those living in texas, but i cannot believe that the people in charge of your childrens education would even consider questioning something so established and evidential. What sickens me is that these people all live in absolute luxury with lots of comforts which science provided them with and, so, by refusing to hear anything other than their own ramblings, effectively question the way in which it was provided. Hypocricy, ignorance and indoctrination!..This is the 21st century!
Why didn't he run himself? Probably because he doesn't think he would be as good at serving on a the school board as these other candidates.
On another note, look at him. The long hair, the goatee. Its obviously his look and it works for him. Unfortunately, no Texas majority is going to vote for him, based solely on his appearance. I would, but I don't live in Texas.
So even if he thought he could do an amazing job, he can only get one position and at best he can split the vote.
Wow, evolutionists will believe anything. What a bunch of dolts they are. Do yourself a favor and read a few of A. E. Wilder-Smith books and also Robert Dick Wilson's book "A Scientific Investigation of the Old Testament". Do you know that Noah's Ark was discovered? Also, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Red Sea crossing site, the real Mount Sinai the Ark of the Covenant? Yes, the proof is there. All one must do is seek.
For example, global warming, redubbed climate change when things started getting colder has NOT been proven to be linked to human activity. There have been such massive shifts previously in Earth's history, and in fact it's been shown other planets in our solar system (notably Mars and Saturn) are undergoing their own massive climate change as we speak, so your statement is dishonest.
As to sex ed, there is no abstinence-only teaching in the UK, and their teen pregnancy rates are higher than US
@TheRealAkaRai You made a bunch of claims, yet you didn't back a SINGLE one of them with any evidence.
I can also claim whatever I want if I don't care about proof. Check me out:
Men with long hair have longer, healthier lives. We also grow larger penises while also becoming a lot better sexual partners than short-haired men. We also become more intelligent and attractive. ;)
I'm sorry, but there are some inaccuracies in your statements. For one, you disparage homeschooling, in in fact students who go through homeschooling have higher scores, are more likely to attend college, and perform better once there.
Speaking as an atheist who naturally believes in evolution, the rest of your accusations boil down to partisan mis-characterization, and character assassination. Calling them dropouts doesn't add to your argument, it just comes across as a cheapshot.
@TheRealAkaRai Dropouts who homeschool their kids have no business on a board of public education. This isn't to disparage homeschooling, though in their cases, it seems much more likely that they are just spoon feeding their own ignorance. I don't understand what your ignorant assertions regarding climate change have to do with any of this. I guess the poles are going to have to melt completely before idiots like you start to give a damn.
@hugesinker I've already disproven the fallacy that there's anything wrong with homeschooled children. In fact they perform best, better than private schooled children with children in public schools placing dead last.
You state my assertions are ignorant, but you back that attack up with all of jack and shit. Why don't you call it "global warming" anymore? Oh right, because that's not what's happening. The climate changes all the time. Four times annually even. There have been more massive shi
@TheRealAkaRai Both are correct-- it IS global warming AND climate change. It is a general worldwide warming trend accompanied by an unprecedented melting of ancient polar ice. Regionally it may be superficially perceived as a change in climate (even cooling in some places). Usually the change is occurring to a degree that natural ecosystems are having a difficult time adapting, which causes large-scale extinction events. Please watch?v=mqMunulJU7w and other vids by TY user Greenman3610.
@hugesinker As I've stated though, there have been numerous other climate shifts all throughout the history of the Earth. Ever heard of the Ice Age? What about the fact that massive climate change of the same level is currently occurring on MARS? Do you feel that's caused by humans?
It's a natural recurring process, with millions of years of evidence.
@TheRealAkaRai There are indeed many climate shifts throughout earth's long history. Do you think climatologists are unaware of this? The issue is the rate of change and the apparent source of the change. Please at least seek out the consensus view to see if they adequately rebut these sort of claims.
-Here the claim, "there have always been climate changes", is addressed: watch?v=ZGFAWzjO378
-Here the claim about climate change on Mars (etc.) is addressed: watch?v=BSXgiml5UwM
@hugesinker Sorry, but the videos you linked me to are a complete croc of shit. The guy uses two links to generalize anyone who disagrees with him in an inherently dishonest way. I can't post links in youtube comments, so google "global warming on mars" and add the terms "nasa" "national geographic" and "Habibullo Abdussamatov" You'll see an article on a reputable site specifically stating it's due to solar activity.
@TheRealAkaRai So the first two links I sent were okay, but you have a problem with the Mars video because it didn't happen to address Abdussamatov specifically? Is that correct? The video DID offer rationale as to the source of climate change on mars, and we know that the solar cycles are not the cause of global warming-- this is something that is very closely monitored. We are actually at a solar minimum in an 11-year cycle. Please see the obvious indicators here: watch?v=_Sf_UIQYc20
@hugesinker I haven't watched the other videos as of yet, and frankly based on the one you linked me to, I don't want to. That guy's not a scientist, he's an asshat with a grudge comparing people who don't share his view on climate change to Holocaust deniers. It's pathetic. Are the rest of your links from more reliable sources?
And the video didn't refute anything, it generalized an entire argument based on two links. The existence of the one I've shown you disproves that assertion.
@TheRealAkaRai The other two are put up by the same user, but the second one is just a clip from a lecture by a well-respected climate scientist-- a link to the entire lecture is provided. The first one is historical background and clips from television programs showing how some political groups started using the term "climate change" instead of "global warming", even though the change WAS an overall global warming trend. I'm not asking you to agree with mere opinions, only presented facts.
@TheRealAkaRai OOH.. and teen pregnancies in UK(you know, despite no abstinence programs like in US)---HALF the teen pregnancy rates(apprx) as in the USA.. Look it up
Are you really a Poe? just pretending to be "atheist" to try and make the rest look stupid by association?
@TheRealAkaRai I've already told you. I have no problem with homeschooling in theory. Additionally, I think vouchers are a part of the solution here. Education needs to be more competitive. However, people who reject public education for their own kids, or who dropped out of school themselves, have no business working on a board dictating instruction FOR public schools. For them to do so is a flagrant hypocrisy!
@hugesinker I disagree, I think it's essentially an ad hominem and guilt by association to say someone's worth is determined by their level of education. Who's to say they're not still intelligent? And if they're his children, obviously he thinks homeschooling is what's best for them. As statistically, homeschooled children do better academically, sounds to me like he's made a pretty smart decision. Do you not want someone who makes smart decisions for children on the school board?
@TheRealAkaRai What would you think of a board member at General Motors who buys only Toyota cars? I suppose one might think that Toyota is a superior car, this person just recognizes that, so they are only making a smart decision. What about a Chef who never eats at or brings their family to their own restaurant? It isn't really a question of smarts, it's a question of investment and honest motives, as well as a greater ability to understand the end product and effect of their decisions.
@hugesinker The same thing I'd think of a hairdresser who doesn't cut their own hair, or a brothel owner who has sex with his wife.
Strained analogies aren't facts, and your post amounts to cheap character assassination. So what if he wants the best for his kids? Obama didn't send his daughters to Washington's public school system, instead opting for a private one. Does that make him an idiot in your eyes, or are you a hypocrite?
@TheRealAkaRai Your analogies don't work for the same reason a brain surgeon doesn't operate on herself-- no one should expect her to be able to. Obama isn't applying to be on the school board of a public school-- he has very little to do with public schools. It's handled by bureaucrats and boards. It is better to have a vested interest in what you do, and do it for the right reasons. I don't see why this concept is so difficult for you to understand..
@hugesinker So you're being a hypocrite, in other words. He is the president, and he did make a promise to improve schools in Washington, so it does fall within the scope of his responsibilities -primarily because of his own campaign promises. Yet when push came to shove, he chose not to send his children to public school.
I don't have a problem with Obama doing that, but it's hypocritical and dishonest for you to say it's okay when he does it, but not when someone you don't like does.
@TheRealAkaRai It's annoying to see any politician make promises to affect things that they have so little direct control over, but it happens all the time. By promising to "improve schools", he probably meant that he would sign bills that simply throw more money at them. The more appropriate analogy would be if Obama lived and grew up in another country, under their laws, and then tried to be elected as president here. You would have no problem with that, right? Ad Hom, guilt by association?
@hugesinker I'm not a birther, if that's where you're going with this. I have no idea how much time Obama spent in Kenya. I don't support his presidency, but as with every other president I think he *believes* he has the country's best interests at heart, however much I may disagree with his conclusions.
All I'm saying is, this guy, like Obama simply wants the best for his kids. If he feels the school system is substandard, of course he'll try to clean it up before subjecting his kids to it.
Hugesinker never said anything derogatory about homeschooling. The point was: if you lack familiarity with a subject, you shouldn't be in a position to dictate its terms. You keep creating strawmen. You fail
Global warming: more strawmen. No one says solar activity doesn't affect climatic cycles. Only an idiot would believe solar activity is only source. Point is: Carbon PROVEN to affect retention of short-wave radiation(i.e. retain warmth)
@TheRealAkaRai Der.. yes.. natural climatic cycles that come in their own time. Concern is humanity acting as a catalyst to trigger another warming cycle--not only that, but to magnify it. PROVEN: carbon causes rise in temp. rise in temp causes release of more NATURAL CO2. more CO2 causes more temp rise.. compound that with addition of carbon from man, and--wow--magnifies global environmental changes. Concern today or next year? No.
@TheRealAkaRai Instead of overgeneralizing like any idiot(you sure you're not a christian? you sure practice a lot of their tactics) you should realize that minutiae eventually accumulate.. Evolution is not the only residual affect occurring in nature.
Don't have to worry about rising temps hurting us in the next 50 yrs? So you don't care? Well, some ppl care about future generations. . . but population is growing. so is consumption rates. it CAN become exponential.
just wondering what the results were? and also, if this bothers you so much, why not run for a position yourself? then you would have control of what you dont like and If you dont want to be in that position, then why not find your own candidates to change things? use the same system to change it. and your final stance if that important is going to court and getting them out or suing their ass off for dumbing down the children.

Good video. But the truth will always steer the future no matter who wants to deny it. I'm thankful these lunatics were not in charge of my elementary education as a child when I was most vulberable to such influence. As a future educator, I can see the writing on the wall much like Einstein did in Germany during the 1930's. My future as an expatriate grows near.
Well, Don McLeroy lost in the primary election to a moderate who, though Christian, is not a YEC and thinks that teachers should teach science and that religion is a job for parents. That is the good news. The bad news is that the standards the Board set recently are in force for the next 10 years. We hope that they get overturned, but as to whether or not that happens, we will have to wait and see.
I KNOW that we were all created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. I can feel this in my heart, and there is evidence of His hand in everything, just look at the mitochondria or endoplasmic reticulum of a cell!
Democracy fails when uneducated foolish citizens can vote for uneducated foolish School Boards which will perpetuate uneducated foolishness into the next generation.
Firstly no single representative should ever satisfy the wishes of a majority... rarely even 1%
Secondly those seeking election are the very LAST people one should vote for... they are too ambitious politically and more often than not will cheat to be elected..
Thirdly, democracy is an illusion... the civil infrastructure dictates how and when resources are to be spent... politicians just try to justify it to the public.
@MumblingMickey, I agree to your first to points, not that there's any way to make it better. "democracy is an illusion... the civil infrastructure dictates how and when resources are to be spent... politicians just try to justify it to the public." No, the government does control many things, esspecially infrastructure. The government regulates the economy, the government aranges agreements with other countries to expand the economy. The government holds alot of power of this area.
@Houshalter I think I'll stick to my original hypothesis... no politician can roll back time to 'before the hurricane'... 'before the markets crashed', 'before the housing crisis' they simply cope with the status quo. Which is why they all promise what they WILL DO to correct the woes of society...at no point do they ever suggest something outside the realms of what is required now. If they did...then a politician might address the aging population right now... not in 30 years time!
Aron, before one of your other vids and in this one, I had no idea Dr. Bakker was a christian, let a lone a reverend?! I idolized the man for some rather obvious reasons ( I'm an amateur paleontologist myself). Now this doesn't diminish his credibility to me. He's a foremost researcher in the field of dinosaur paleontology. It just wasn't anything I expected. Still have the utmost respect for the man.
I know that Texas has a large sway on what textbooks public schools buy around the country. Since this is kind of an important thing, it would be nice if you could make an update video to show who won.
Here in Europe, Texas is reguarded as a laughable state, and basically makes America look even worse than it alrdy does in the eyes of many Europeans...
I'd heard it was bad, but THIS bad? oO
Oh, one thing I don't understand: why would anybody want to teach abstinence only? I mean, it's obviously harmful to the children :s
@TakesTwoToTango the US has a lot of problems,in my opinion,Religion being probably the biggest of them. I've often wondered if other countries still have state enforced stupidity (like ID) I still believe that theres no better place i could live, but if they keep even considering teaching creationism in school,i may rapidly change my mind...whats it like in europe? lol
Creationism is reguarded as a typically American phenomenon here. I've been told there are supporters here as well, but never noticed it :s. Honastly, I didn't think it existed outside small cults before I discovered youtube. Basically America is often posed as a threat ("look at how bad it's there!") when it comes to media, education, social security and religion...
@TakesTwoToTango well in reality, the religion, media and education parts are totally true, the education part is really only bad because of religion, and to a certain degree, the media is caused by religion too. but by in large the "look at how bad it is" part is likely due to people trying to stem immigration to the united states. we're screwed up,but everybody is screwed up somehow. politicians for instance, are full of shit no matter where you live
Texas has a lot of fundamentalist nuts, but it's also home to some excellent universities (UT, A&M, Rice, etc), NASA's Johnson Space Center, and some excellent museums (such as the Houston Museum of Natural Science, which currently has Dr. Bakker curating.)
@TakesTwoToTango Unfortunately I agree.... it must be frustrating for Aron to live in a state which promotes the blue fairy and its magic powers which have yet to manifest over logic and reason which manifests itself on a daily basis....
That said.. there is always the ultimate threat... refuse to educate your population...and then we refuse to invest our time...and money in building your economy...we'll go elsewhere... up north...or abroad... In such ways poverty follows religion.
And he never got muffled when changing lol, that man has many, many talents.
On a serious note, I feel sick for the kids over there, to think that in such a 1st world nation this sh1t is going on is beyond belief except for the facts otherwise.
So ive got to accept the facts.
Come on USA, you are supposed to lead the World, is it any wonder China is about to kick your ass on all counts with this cra going on.
Say it aint so, damn discovery institute is in Seattle. I live here and have always thought we were the haven of liberal rational thought in the whole nortwest, portland and vancouver are okay too. Thats it i'm looking into everyone that gets on the ballet for school board. Seattle of all places, sneaky shits. Thanks Aronra, I'm gonna make sure I know everyone on my ballot from now on.
You have a t-shirt with Cthulhu on it. I KNEW IT! J'ACUSE!!! I always KNEW your were a Satanist, now we have PROOF! I'll report yerass to the Texas Inquisition! ("Ain't nobody 'spects the Texas Inquisition!!!")
I know this is an older video, but 5 years ago when I was in my senior year in high school, I was going to school in ESCAMBIA COUNTY FLORIDA. That fuck face hovind, and his progeny, to this day, have detrimentally destroyed the education in this area.

Atheists maintain that matter adds information to DNA, and therefore, that modern man randomly, mutated gradually via genetic natural selection, and evolved from monkey to man as per their long held and fiercely defended Darwinian theory of the origin of the species.
Creationists maintain that matter does not add information to DNA, and reject said materialistic, random mutations theory of macro evolution.
Hence, why atheists are attacking religion. DNA has thrown egg on their face.
@AronRa I was being a bit on the sarcastic side... obviously it doesn't lend itself very well to text. Personally I'm rather miffed about not having a tail... a prehensile tail would be cool for holding bottles of beer!
@Juxtaroberto yeah but it'd take a shit load of technology for it to regrow so that I cn type with both hands while holding a bottle of beer at the same time!... I doubt my GF would be impressed either... she likes her man tails in the front where they belong!

Atheists, by definition, exclude themselves from being able to debate on matters of logic or morality, Theirs is a meaningless, random chance universe where fixed and calibrated authoritative absolute Truth does not exist.
Atheists maintain that logic itself (just like everything else) originates out of meaningless random chaos, and is continually evolving via meaningless, random chaos.
Thus, there exists no absolute such thing as true, false, fair unfair logical or illogical right or wrong.

Origin of the species
DNA code = DNA code.
That fact leaves no escape for atheists.
[1] Code = language.
[2] Language requires a mind /authorship.
[3] Information exists independently of its medium.
DNA code is: information intelligence/ directions / instructions (a jaw-dropping biological BLUEPRINT) that is ENCODED into the physical DNA molecule to COMMUNICATE with and GOVERN the biological cell! A single cell contains universes of technology more awesome than anything man has ever seen!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
DNA is encoded with LANGUAGE. Language REQUIRES: a MIND [ thought / authorship! ]. Information exists independently of its medium! For something to be rightly called a language, it must contain the following elements: [1] An alphabet or coding system [2] Correct spelling, grammar (a proper arrangement of the words) [3] Meaning (semantics) [4] Intended purpose There are only two kinds of language known to man. [1] of human mind origin [2] that of DNA code
@Mr88playmaker DNA hasn't been encoded with LANGUAGE, well, not until recently, when a group of scientists created new life and encoded their email address into the DNA.
It should be in my interest to hope that continues... for the slower and more retarded the USA becomes wit this anchor of religious dogma the more opportunities are presented to me and my children.
However I'm athiestic and therefore 'moral' and I couldn't wish that outcome on anyone... not even the blind stupid sheep of the creationist money machine!
@m60yaface Says the main on the computer designed by an American company, on an operating system created by an American company, with the OS itself invented by an American, on an American website, the internet itself invented by Americans powered by electricity which... you guessed it, was first harnessed by an American.
Would you please, please, for the love of all that is good and decent post another video the next time a vote like this has to be made? I would appreciate it tremendously.
Apart from the fact that this video is extremely accurate and constructive, I love this weird humour of AronRa - the t-shirt changing is brilliant ;-)
dude u think that sucks i have to go to school in texas, and yus im way smarter than my grade becuaseim the few athiests where im at, remember every thinking man is an athiest
Although having someone with no college degree and "home schooled" kids is valid point to question thier integrity on the school board... that would also include...
Frank Zappa (home schooled kids after 15 refused to pay for college)
Andres Segovia (no degree) Bill Gates (no degree)
A lack of a degree does not make someone "ignorant".
Actually Bill Gates did have a degree, he graduated from Harvard at the top of his class.
It in fact does, people without experience of an educational system and how students feel cannot at all hope to try and govern such a system, if the cannot understand the curriculum themselves then they have no place in monitoring it for others

TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai Dropouts who homeschool their kids have no business on a board of public education. This isn't to disparage homeschooling, though in their cases, it seems much more likely that they are just spoon feeding their own ignorance. I don't understand what your ignorant assertions regarding climate change have to do with any of this. I guess the poles are going to have to melt completely before idiots like you start to give a damn.
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker I've already disproven the fallacy that there's anything wrong with homeschooled children. In fact they perform best, better than private schooled children with children in public schools placing dead last.
You state my assertions are ignorant, but you back that attack up with all of jack and shit. Why don't you call it "global warming" anymore? Oh right, because that's not what's happening. The climate changes all the time. Four times annually even. There have been more massive shi
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai Both are correct-- it IS global warming AND climate change. It is a general worldwide warming trend accompanied by an unprecedented melting of ancient polar ice. Regionally it may be superficially perceived as a change in climate (even cooling in some places). Usually the change is occurring to a degree that natural ecosystems are having a difficult time adapting, which causes large-scale extinction events. Please watch?v=mqMunulJU7w and other vids by TY user Greenman3610.
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker As I've stated though, there have been numerous other climate shifts all throughout the history of the Earth. Ever heard of the Ice Age? What about the fact that massive climate change of the same level is currently occurring on MARS? Do you feel that's caused by humans?
It's a natural recurring process, with millions of years of evidence.
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai There are indeed many climate shifts throughout earth's long history. Do you think climatologists are unaware of this? The issue is the rate of change and the apparent source of the change. Please at least seek out the consensus view to see if they adequately rebut these sort of claims.
-Here the claim, "there have always been climate changes", is addressed: watch?v=ZGFAWzjO378
-Here the claim about climate change on Mars (etc.) is addressed: watch?v=BSXgiml5UwM
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker Sorry, but the videos you linked me to are a complete croc of shit. The guy uses two links to generalize anyone who disagrees with him in an inherently dishonest way. I can't post links in youtube comments, so google "global warming on mars" and add the terms "nasa" "national geographic" and "Habibullo Abdussamatov" You'll see an article on a reputable site specifically stating it's due to solar activity.
Go look it up. Go on. I'll wait.
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai So the first two links I sent were okay, but you have a problem with the Mars video because it didn't happen to address Abdussamatov specifically? Is that correct? The video DID offer rationale as to the source of climate change on mars, and we know that the solar cycles are not the cause of global warming-- this is something that is very closely monitored. We are actually at a solar minimum in an 11-year cycle. Please see the obvious indicators here: watch?v=_Sf_UIQYc20
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker I haven't watched the other videos as of yet, and frankly based on the one you linked me to, I don't want to. That guy's not a scientist, he's an asshat with a grudge comparing people who don't share his view on climate change to Holocaust deniers. It's pathetic. Are the rest of your links from more reliable sources?
And the video didn't refute anything, it generalized an entire argument based on two links. The existence of the one I've shown you disproves that assertion.
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai The other two are put up by the same user, but the second one is just a clip from a lecture by a well-respected climate scientist-- a link to the entire lecture is provided. The first one is historical background and clips from television programs showing how some political groups started using the term "climate change" instead of "global warming", even though the change WAS an overall global warming trend. I'm not asking you to agree with mere opinions, only presented facts.

Are you really a Poe? just pretending to be "atheist" to try and make the rest look stupid by association?
xD
xESOTERlC 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai I've already told you. I have no problem with homeschooling in theory. Additionally, I think vouchers are a part of the solution here. Education needs to be more competitive. However, people who reject public education for their own kids, or who dropped out of school themselves, have no business working on a board dictating instruction FOR public schools. For them to do so is a flagrant hypocrisy!
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker I disagree, I think it's essentially an ad hominem and guilt by association to say someone's worth is determined by their level of education. Who's to say they're not still intelligent? And if they're his children, obviously he thinks homeschooling is what's best for them. As statistically, homeschooled children do better academically, sounds to me like he's made a pretty smart decision. Do you not want someone who makes smart decisions for children on the school board?
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai What would you think of a board member at General Motors who buys only Toyota cars? I suppose one might think that Toyota is a superior car, this person just recognizes that, so they are only making a smart decision. What about a Chef who never eats at or brings their family to their own restaurant? It isn't really a question of smarts, it's a question of investment and honest motives, as well as a greater ability to understand the end product and effect of their decisions.
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker The same thing I'd think of a hairdresser who doesn't cut their own hair, or a brothel owner who has sex with his wife.
Strained analogies aren't facts, and your post amounts to cheap character assassination. So what if he wants the best for his kids? Obama didn't send his daughters to Washington's public school system, instead opting for a private one. Does that make him an idiot in your eyes, or are you a hypocrite?
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai Your analogies don't work for the same reason a brain surgeon doesn't operate on herself-- no one should expect her to be able to. Obama isn't applying to be on the school board of a public school-- he has very little to do with public schools. It's handled by bureaucrats and boards. It is better to have a vested interest in what you do, and do it for the right reasons. I don't see why this concept is so difficult for you to understand..
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker So you're being a hypocrite, in other words. He is the president, and he did make a promise to improve schools in Washington, so it does fall within the scope of his responsibilities -primarily because of his own campaign promises. Yet when push came to shove, he chose not to send his children to public school.
I don't have a problem with Obama doing that, but it's hypocritical and dishonest for you to say it's okay when he does it, but not when someone you don't like does.
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai It's annoying to see any politician make promises to affect things that they have so little direct control over, but it happens all the time. By promising to "improve schools", he probably meant that he would sign bills that simply throw more money at them. The more appropriate analogy would be if Obama lived and grew up in another country, under their laws, and then tried to be elected as president here. You would have no problem with that, right? Ad Hom, guilt by association?
hugesinker 1 year ago
@hugesinker I'm not a birther, if that's where you're going with this. I have no idea how much time Obama spent in Kenya. I don't support his presidency, but as with every other president I think he *believes* he has the country's best interests at heart, however much I may disagree with his conclusions.
All I'm saying is, this guy, like Obama simply wants the best for his kids. If he feels the school system is substandard, of course he'll try to clean it up before subjecting his kids to it.
TheRealAkaRai 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai You're really quite stupid.
Point is: Carbon PROVEN to affect retention of short-wave radiation(i.e. retain warmth)
xESOTERlC 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai Der.. yes.. natural climatic cycles that come in their own time. Concern is humanity acting as a catalyst to trigger another warming cycle--not only that, but to magnify it. PROVEN: carbon causes rise in temp. rise in temp causes release of more NATURAL CO2. more CO2 causes more temp rise.. compound that with addition of carbon from man, and--wow--magnifies global environmental changes. Concern today or next year? No.
xESOTERlC 1 year ago
@TheRealAkaRai Instead of overgeneralizing like any idiot(you sure you're not a christian? you sure practice a lot of their tactics) you should realize that minutiae eventually accumulate.. Evolution is not the only residual affect occurring in nature.
Don't have to worry about rising temps hurting us in the next 50 yrs? So you don't care? Well, some ppl care about future generations. . . but population is growing. so is consumption rates. it CAN become exponential.

Democracy fails anyway... for several reasons...
MumblingMickey 1 year ago
@MumblingMickey, I agree to your first to points, not that there's any way to make it better. "democracy is an illusion... the civil infrastructure dictates how and when resources are to be spent... politicians just try to justify it to the public." No, the government does control many things, esspecially infrastructure. The government regulates the economy, the government aranges agreements with other countries to expand the economy. The government holds alot of power of this area.
Houshalter 1 year ago
@Houshalter I think I'll stick to my original hypothesis... no politician can roll back time to 'before the hurricane'... 'before the markets crashed', 'before the housing crisis' they simply cope with the status quo. Which is why they all promise what they WILL DO to correct the woes of society...at no point do they ever suggest something outside the realms of what is required now. If they did...then a politician might address the aging population right now... not in 30 years time!

TakesTwoToTango 1 year ago
@TakesTwoToTango well in reality, the religion, media and education parts are totally true, the education part is really only bad because of religion, and to a certain degree, the media is caused by religion too. but by in large the "look at how bad it is" part is likely due to people trying to stem immigration to the united states. we're screwed up,but everybody is screwed up somehow. politicians for instance, are full of shit no matter where you live

DNA code is: information intelligence/ directions / instructions (a jaw-dropping biological BLUEPRINT) that is ENCODED into the physical DNA molecule to COMMUNICATE with and GOVERN the biological cell! A single cell contains universes of technology more awesome than anything man has ever seen!

in many ways the U.S.A is the most retarded country in the western world !
"retarded as in the dictionary definition not the slang insult"
m60yaface 2 years ago 39
@m60yaface

@m60yaface Hey.....shut up...thats only "mostly" true...sooooo...yeah.

@m60yaface Says the main on the computer designed by an American company, on an operating system created by an American company, with the OS itself invented by an American, on an American website, the internet itself invented by Americans powered by electricity which... you guessed it, was first harnessed by an American.

Apart from the fact that this video is extremely accurate and constructive, I love this weird humour of AronRa - the t-shirt changing is brilliant ;-)

Douglas1102 2 years ago 2
Actually Bill Gates did have a degree, he graduated from Harvard at the top of his class.
It in fact does, people without experience of an educational system and how students feel cannot at all hope to try and govern such a system, if the cannot understand the curriculum themselves then they have no place in monitoring it for others
bagladdavies 2 years ago
No... he didn't... he dropped out of Harvard... he has only recieved honorary degrees.
"It in fact does"...
no... in fact it doesn't... and that is plain as the day.
"cannot understand the curriculum"
How exactly do people like Segovia and Gates (VERY short list) not understand the curriculum?
