Jim ward is a genius. At The Drive-In had the perfect mixture of the eccentric playing/singing of Omar and Cedric and the solid dischordal rhythm section of Jim Paul and Tony. Both Sparta and The Mars Volta have something relatively awesome to offer but they lack the magic that they undoubtedly had in this band.
