lol. US only joined the world wars at the very very end and had lower casualties compered to other countries. and the US isn't in the commonwealth. so why would she come?

@Starwarsloser92 in the first world war they only joined at the end but during the second world war they joined right when the fighting was hardest - they led the push back from the axis forces. most of the fighting in the pacific was done by america and D-Day would have never happened without the US.

They most certainly did not lead the push back. that was the Russians. which is understandable given the fact that the Russian front was Four times bigger than the rest of the war combined.

@stevendarez GLOBALLY they led the push back against the axis forces - france to signapore. they also gave the russian military immense amounts of weapons and equipment which drastically improved their chances against the germans. finally they and the british who had cracked the nazi codes were able to supply the russians with vital intelligence.

@sirrington WW2 was from 1939-1945. U.S. Involvement started in 1941. That's not halfway. Regardless, who cares how much fighting was done by who unless your studying the time period? All that matters is that the axis powers were defeated. It's pathetic that all the Brits and Americans do these days is bash each other.

But i study cultural sciences and criticism, and just to throw it in there, 1reason yboth the US and the Brits tend to (but dont only) harp on their experiences in ww2 is cuz both countries have been on political declines from their world power positions since. these constant references are a way to remember the golden hours of each country - a status longed 4again
