I love this album-really not much acknowledged when talking about the Stones but they are so versatile on this record. Kudos for putting this on a setlist and the crowd for listening. Alittle more poise needed in the vocal performance but maybe he was apprehensive about holding the audience with this song...just spec'ing
I read somwhere that people close to the Stones (like Bobby Keys) thought that this song could also be (apart about Anita Pallenberg) about Mick. Keith's relationship with Mick was during the late seventies/early eighties already pretty shabby. And they were fighting a lot during the mixing of the Emotional Rescue album.
I was at this show! This is my all-time favorite Keith tune. I screamed like a girl for this song once he started playin it. Classic love/hate song...we've all known that "first to get laid...always the last bitch to get paid" chick...good tune, man, good show...
