  • I was almost in tears listening to her song...only I wish I could understand the lyrics better...(;_;)

(It's not her fault, though!!...it's just that I'm not a native English speaker.)

  • @82613880889 Dont worry - I'm english and can't understand what she's saying. Good voice mind

  • @jhvscs Hahaha! Kinda great to know that! (^0^)

  • * Montana's 2002 *

    Karima! :)

  • she is heaven into a mic. my god,- and although this video doesnt really show her off- i LOVE her.

  • Karima is female, and she is very musically talented.

  • she was at james morrison last night, absolutley amazing!

  • Karima is indeed amazing. Try and catch her headlining some time. Also, Karima is on this week's Jools Holland. I'm not sure if she is on tonight's live coverage but, if not, she'll be on the full program late on Friday (and, of course, repeated on BBC iPlayer.

  • Hi, somebody might be able to help me. I saw James Morrison not long ago, and Karima Francis was supporting. But there was another band supporting, quite a rocky group, and they were amazing. Could anyone tell me who they were? I really can't find any information on them. Thanks.

  • saw her last night supporting james morrison she was amazing! me and my friends enjoyed her as much as james himself! she is so overwhelming! xx

  • She was a support act at stereophonics concert at the royal albert hall. She was fantastic. She had different hair though. lmao

  • Karima is indeed fantastic - and until about a year ago she did, indeed have dreadlocks (and had them since the age of 14). So what you see is combed out into that Boby Dylan mop (and I don't like to imagine how that hurt).

She is also something very, very special - and incredibly honest. From the Albert Hall she went on to headline at Bush Hall and for an encore sang "Remember Your Name" - a song about her mother's alcoholism; and her mum was in the audience.

  • i thought she was a guy, i love her more now!

  • she is just amazing, saw her supporting James friday night and I was just like :O

  • Simon Robbs is hotttt then :)

  • i saw her at james morrison i was right at the front

how hot is her guitar man (L) simon is it?

  • Well I'm not really in a position to judge that, but I'll let him know when I see him next. I'm sure he'll be flattered. He is a very nice chap - very understated.

His name is indeed Simon - Simon Robbs.

  • I love her voice it's amazing. I saw her for the first time at james morrison concert and she rocked. I loved her cover of use somebody by kings of leon. This songs brill too.

  • Saw her support Lou Rhodes at the Union Chapel last year. Karima was absolutely amazing, loved it!

  • It was either the day before this gig or the one she did two weeks earlier at the Enterprise. She specifically said that the Union Chapel had been the greatest place she'd ever sung.

  • her voice is amazing

  • omg i just watched Red Ocean - Cool Animation by aniboom and heard her voice and loved it she has an amazing sound. just amazing.

  • omg, i went to see karima last night in london and she is amazing. This song is wicked, i couldnt believe it when everybody just stopped everything they were doing and saying and just watched her, that was awesome to watch..your brill and i wish you all the luck for the future. hope to see you again and again!

  • I remember when we were at college, you played to all those disabled kids and they loved it, as did i! u must of been 17 it was great! you'll go far sweetcheeks, loving the new hair too!!

  • Beautiful song.....nicely written.....will deffinetly go places.....cant wait

  • Karima tells me her album will be out in September (which means it would have taken about 15 months). From the parts I've heard it's stunning - passionate and strong.

  • I really REALLY love this song. I cant believe that only 1000 people have watched this video, and the fact that I havent heard anything about her anywhere but here. But I guess that answers my first wonder.. -ment. :)

Although I found The Author on iTunes and bought one copy for me and one as a gift for my girlfriend. Just a tip!

    KARIMA FRANCIS FTW!

  • WHAT IS THE NAME IF THIS SONG?

  • Well it's in the video title, or if that's not enough it is in the description "Karima Francis performing The Author at The Enterprise". If that isn't enough of a clue then it's called The Author...

  • LOL I think that is enough.LOL its just that at no time i hear the title during the song. I thought it was called the story

    Thanks for the Info

  • No problem - if you get the chance, Karima has a gig being webcast live on Wednesday 5th. It's in London at the Regal Room at 21:00 GMT so the timing might not be good for you, but details on her MySpace. Then she's jetting off to SXSW in Austin.

  • ps. I ought to add that there is a song called The Story by a wonderful American singer called Brandi Carlile who is currently touring in support of Newton Faulkner in the UK - coincidentally Karima was supporting Newton Faulkner on his last tour...

  • oh how i love this song!!! theme song, so touching, means a lot to me!!! i cant explain it...but MUCH love goes to karima and her voice and her writing this song!!! such feeling...

  • this song is so so so wow.i can find no words.thank you!

  • Karima is a wonderful artist - she is recording her first album now. The pictures she uses on her MySpace was taken at the same venue.

You might want to got to her web site w w w - dot - karimafrancis - dot - com and listen to "remember your name"

  • yes,she is wonderful,that powerful voice...my god:D

i'm visiting her page often to see when her album's ready!and maybe i will see a hungarian venue in the list:):) ok i was just joking.

karima and terra naomi would make me live in england;)

  • It's been a privilege this year to have met and recorded both Karima and Terra. We are very fortunate that Terra is living in London at the moment and is likely to be here until the end of the year. I might not see Karima again until Octrober when she will be touring again. Just in case you aren't aware of it, Ken Nelson is producing Karima's album - he produce Cold Play's first album.

  • i just love this song... thanks steve!
