Then again, the sports car market in genera has really taken a dive in the last few years. Definitely seems to be a buyers market. Or maybe there is lots of problems with early model Vipers?

@TheDodgeViper ...the catalytic converter and side sill resonator exist forward of where the side exhaust "would" be. I'm not sure how the muffler was incorporated on side exhaust viper systems, as the GTS muffler is center rear with dual tips. In the GTS case, the cat can make it very hot. Usually mine only gets "burn hot" if I am at idle a lot with little air movement. Which is what happened when I got sizzled. I pulled away quick enough not to bed anything too bad :)

They run along the side of the GTS...they just exit in the rear instead of the sides like the newer models... burnt mine the first time driving my 97 also (after ~4 hours). It doesn't get hot unless you really push it for a long drive though.

Jay knows a lot about cars, but not the little things. That's not a rear window demister. The rear window demister emblem is rectangular. The emblem he shows is for the front screen blower. Hence the shape of the emblem. Twist the dial to this emblem and turn on the fan, no more foggy front screen. But he probably wouldn't know that if you don't put the roof on it or live somewhere the weather would cause it to fog up. Like here.
