If you go back thru and read the comments I think I mention to someone where I got everything. And everything is reversible I have all of my old parts but I don't ever see myself going back stock. The bike runs and sounds so much better like it is right now.
thats a really nice bike man. 6 more months to go and i can decide wether i wana get an 08 r1 or the 09 r1. the 08 to me looks a little better (no disrespect to your bike) but ive heard from alot of people that the 09 r1 is really fast. and another thing, are those akras slip ons or full. and how much did they cost you? thanks for your time my friend and again your bike is beautiful !

hi... i have just bought the complete tail light from custom LED. i've connected the wires but hav'nt connected the grey wire..... What sort of switch did you use as a toggle switch...? I just want to turn the Brake Alert feature off and am not to bother'd about the other functions as i'm in the U.K.. Thanks again dude...

Resistors came with the light and are already attached. I am adding a flasher relay once I get the flush mounts for the front and that will slow the flash down.
I'm in for close to $13000 not exactly but pretty close. I got a fender eliminator for my license plate. Thanks for the comment. And for the record I am pretty fond of it too. I just got to get my flush mount turn signals for the front and my wind screen, smoke I think and I should be pretty close to having it like I want it.
That's not as much as I figured it would be. I may look at this for my next bike, I really like the way the tail looks now. I have an R6 (08) now, so that'll suit me for a few more years anyway till I feel like bumping up to an R1. I'll save my pennies and probably do some modifications similar to this. :)
Yeah I negotiated pretty hard when I got it. I set my price and didn't budge so I got a great deal on it. Times are hard all over and no matter what the dealer's say people aren't lined up around the corner to get many new bikes. I went in with cash in hand and that's usually a good bargaining chip. I was unsure about the demo mode/blaster-x and brake alert....... but this seems to be easily turned on/off.....? GREAT INFO VID...
Yeah I just bought the board. I was gonna wait for the complete light as well but I couldn't wait. It was pretty involved so if that's not your thing I would probably wait. You literally have to cut open the tail light with a dremel cutting tool and hot glue it back together. The blaster mode can be turned off via a relay switch or if you think you won't need it just don't ground the wire needed and your light would function just fine. But it's cool to see it in that mode. Thanks for the comment

Where did you get this kit from? Is the whole conversion reversible?
I'd like to do something like this as long as I could potentially put it back if I ever decide to sell the bike (who knows that a buyer would want).

I have a similar set up on my '06 model.
doesn't have the demo mode though, that would confuse the hell out of car drivers here in the uk.
Nice bike though dude, I keep meaning to get a test ride sorted out. Must do it soon.

That's not as much as I figured it would be. I may look at this for my next bike, I really like the way the tail looks now.
