  • Great post. You must've created the tricep pull-down chain/ bar attachment which I find very creative and helpful. I also have this exact unit. model: WB-MS11 has the tricep pulley located centrally on the high pulley. Is it safe using the model: WB (the original/ your demo model) tricep bar the way you've demo'd? Will it cause the high pulley to shift/ become uneven?

  • @RayinCsharp The old models had attachment points on both sides of the pulldown bar. This also allowed you to use single d-handles either side for neutral grip pulldowns. Later on the close grip pulldown bar was introduced and the attachment points were removed and one was located centrally - like on the current WB-MS11.

Instead of modifying the gym, I would invest in a Lat Tower Attachment. See our video when we trialed it on the WB-MS11. They are smooth & strong.

  • I noticed your lat bar is slanted, too. I own the machine and mine is also. Is this a defect? Because my bench press bar and squat aren't perpendicular, either.

  • Hi

I think it is just the camera angle.

Because these machines are bolt together you vary rarely get them in perfect alignment on every angle and measurement.

The first thing I would check is the floor. An uneven floor will make it hard to align the machine.

Second is loosen off the bolts. Get some to pull on the lat bar in the direction it needs to go. While they are pulling tighten up the bolts.

If that doesn't work just email me some photos and I will take a look.

    Thanks, Sam.

  • Sam,

How long have you been using the powertec gyms? I notice you are a pretty large guy. Do you use the powertec systems mostly or free-weights as well?

  • Hi

Unfortunately that isn't me in the video - it is our man Brad in WA.

Brad uses a combination of the machine and free weights. Pretty much 50 - 50 split.

    Thanks, Sam.
