  • love for sale!

  • don´t buy the new DVD´s or Bluerays... they really changed the Soundtrack on this and the other Ferrari scene....can be read on AMAZON reviews....

  • @Toyshansolo ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CHANGE IT TO SPANISH WHEN THE FERRAI SCENE THEY HAVE THE SONG AND SWITCH IT BACK TO ENGLISH THAT IS WHAT I DID IT WORKS GREAT :p

  • THIS SONG IS PERFECT FOR THIS CAR SCENE

  • ON THE DVD YOU CAN SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT AUDIO TO SAY LIKE SPANISH IT HAS THE SONG BUT WHEN IT IS OVER I SWITCH IT BACK :)

  • Hot women don't like pretty boys. If a guy primps more than his gal something awry. Anyway as a charter member of the ugly mug club, I'm glad the hotties like goons like me. Strength, confidence, decisiveness and power of thought are more of a turn on to really hot women than hetero/metrosexuality.

  • Just goes to show you looks aren't everything. Like how in the name of Jesus's sister did an ugly mug like Billy Joel score Christie Brinkley?

  • 7 people had to slow down from doing 80 mph

  • Clark Grizwald till death. Doesn't seem like it does it honey?

  • slow down Clark!!!!!!!!!

  • TO BAD THEY DID HAVE THIS SONG IN THE DVD

  • Terrible quality.

  • 80 mph LMAO i go that speed in residential areas

  • @ChIcAnO2111 well you're a fucking cunt.

  • It's only the largest free standing mud dwelling ever built - that's all! It's living history Ellen, personally I'd rather see a pile of mud than Eddie.

  • Clark should have tried for a threesome with the mystery blonde and Ellen.

  • Family guy :D XD

  • OK. I'm glad I saw this video and read the comments because I thought I was smoking crack when I first played my DVD. Why would they screw with the music? That sucks. Yes, I agree that LTD should have enough balls to do 100, probably more. And also, 80 mph ain't shit - today. Back them the stupid ass speed limit was 55 mph.

  • @nev594 From the mid-1970's through the late-1980's they made speedometers on cars only go up to 85 MPH with a box around the 55 MPH to remind drivers that the national speed limit was 55.

  • 7 people aren't excited

  • I agree it is nowhere near as good as the original version which came out on

VHS. It is not the same with the wrong music in the wrong spots. That car was

actually a Ford LTD and it should have had some balls if he put his foot down!

And yes, Christie Brinkley would still make a nice hat!

  • Christie Brinkley is the timeless bomb! I'm a young American blonde and pray I look hhalf as good as her at 58. She's unreal !!

  • 80 mph aint shit

  • @xdavstratx

for that old station wagon thats pushing it going 80 mph

  • the greatest ferrari ever made

  • little boy sweet is in the original vacation but so is I'm so excited. they went the cheap route for the video and dvd versions. it was cheaper to use Little Boy Sweet twice than it would have been to use little boy sweet once and Im so excited where it should have been. nowadays all music is pre-acquired for theatrical, broadcast and home video release all in one deal. not so in the early 80s.

  • I want to see the house of mud...I mean its living history! ;-P

  • Love this classic movie, but the song is not original. The real song is "Little Boy Sweet" by June Pointer, made before the Pointer Sisters group formed. Unfortunately, this song is just as impossible to find as "Dancin' Cross The USA" and "Holiday Road" by Lindsey Buckingham. Wish they'd make a soundtrack cd or something from this movie-so many good songs!

  • Did you see when family guy spoofed this scene? It's hilarious

  • Brinkley is smoking hot, but Deangelo is hot as Hell too.

  • I don't remember this on the DVD version.

  • @DnyWlsh That's because they used the song "Little Boy Sweet" in this scene on the DVD.

  • The conversation on this video is simply idiotic... love The Pointer Sisters though! =)

  • There are so many "Family Trucksters" around....someone really needs to re-enact this scene!

  • Comment removed

  • WRONG song. Why did they do this for the TV version?

  • "love for sale, appetizing yummy love for sale"

  • wish people still drove station wagons today.

  • Is that the worst you can think of? Shit, I've heard worse insults from an old woman. Come on you pussy, think of something better.

  • marriage was built at a womans view, not men

  • the version i have plays "little boy sweet" June Pointer instead of this song.

  • Ahh, ich liebe diesen Film! :DD

  • I like the part when he falls asleep behind the wheel

  • Beverly D´Angelo looks like my mother when Im taking her to the doctor

  • Yes this is def the correct song. They mustve changed it awhile back. Im watching it on tv and it just played "IM SO EXCITED." Kinda like when The Goonies is on tv, and they actually show the Ocotopus part, which they never put in the moive cus the scene was so horribly done/not true haha. But yes this is the right song, sometimes the soundtracks dont put every song on the album.

  • Comment removed

  • People chill... it's just a song.

  • so everyone says this is the correct song i remember, but whats funny is i have the original record soundtrack and im so excited is not on it, only june pointers lil boy sweet, the song appears 3 times in the movie. this scene the truck stop and then one more time when clark messes up his hair then sees himself in the car with her.

  • Is it possible that people are confusing this scene with the other scene on the road with the girl in the red ferrari? There's the scene when everyone is sleeping and Clark is speeding to catch up with her and when Ellen eventually wakes up Clark is dripping wet from sweating. I'm not 100 percent certain, but I think that Little Boy Sweet is played in that scene, as well as at the rest stop. Can anyone confirm?

  • EPIC!!

  • My favorite scene!

  • this clip is the story of my life

  • these hot chicks conveniently only arrive after you've got married -- n.b lol his family / wife did not even notice !!

  • @umbrellafox yeah dude haha the ferrari girl always comes when the wife and kids are distracted

  • that's true, its a shame that they never play this on movie channels like cinemax.

  • @nonameuser if they played all these on showtime id watch the hell out of them

  • "Little Boy Sweet" is the original song. "I'm so excited is NOT. Let's put this to rest.

  • @megapowerspt No Asshole "I'm so excited is the original song U BITCH BECAUSE ON VHS IT WAS U FUCKER

  • @megapowerspt "Little Boy Sweet" is NOT the original song YOU FUCKING BITCH I'm so excited IS YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE FUCK YOU SUCK MY DICK YOU BITCH!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @megapowerspt AND BY THE WAY WAY DON'T YOU BUY THE VHS YOU FUCKING IDOT AND TELL ME THAT IS THE original song YOU BITCH FUCK YOU SUCK MY DICK YOU ASSHOLE BITCH!!!

  • @JackBauer24onfox Sorry, didn't know you suffered from tourette syndrome. Anway, I know many people who have seen this in theaters and can confirm "Little Boy Sweet" was the song. You lose. Have a great day.

  • This is the real Version But On Dvd They Change The Song

  • I don't recall USA airing this very much.

  • The song called "Little Boy Sweet" is played during the sandwich scene at the truck stop. This is the correct song for this scene in the movie.

  • Personally, I'd rather see a pile of mud than Eddie...LOLOL

  • SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!

  • Love for sale....LMAO!!

  • This was the original song from this clip... why they canged it to ' sweet little boy ' i dont know...

  • In the movie they changed that music to "Sweet Little Boy".

  • i hate when they do this !! play the actual song that is in the movie...."sweet little boy" by june pointer

  • They filmed this scene in my home town. The area has changed quite a bit. I thought it was funny that they said they were just in Dodge City and they are heading east on Hwy 50 in Colorado.

  • i wish the speed limt was 70 mph agin

  • It's 70 here in florida, where do you live?

  • LOL SLOW DOWN

  • lol I see myself doing this when I'm miserable and married.

  • Dude, don't get married. I've only been married for 2 years and I've been miserable since.

  • congratulations, you married the wrong person!.

  • @8MisslissA8 Every person is the wrong person to marry.

  • @Kaspergaling Just because whoever you're married to makes you so miserable, doesn't mean that marriage in itself is miserable! My parents have been married almost 40 years! And they are still very much in love and NOT miserable!

  • SIMMONS.

  • Simmons

  • Christie Brinkley was going to fall in love with me when I turned 12 or 13. Eh... once I got to that age after a few years we decided that it wasn't right and that we should continue to see other people. My hand has been many of the most beautiful women of both the silver and the small screen, from Ava Gardner to that girl on that one episode of Mr Belvedere.

  • SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • has anyone seen the family guy version of this

i thnk its the one when they go to texas

  • Loveeeeeeee for saleeeeeeeeeee LMFAO

  • I remember seeing this scene as a kid; still cracks me up!!!

Please post the scene with Chevy imagining himself in the Ferrari with her...

  • That is the funniest clip, ever!! thanks for posting it.

  • life before GPS was awesome!!!

  • the house of mud...

  • The version of this scene that I have has Little Boy Sweet instead of this song.

Clark, keep your eyes on the road.

  • yeah, the old vhs version i have also plays little boy sweet. why do you think it was changed?

  • If I knew, then I forgot. I'll try and find out.

  • i also don't have im so excited :o

  • Proabbly some copyright bullshit

  • Doesn't feel like it does it honey? LOL!!!!!!

I like the part later in the movie when the ferrari comes up again and Clark swerves all over the place :D

  • Love for sale...LAMO!

  • I like the part when the wife say: SLOW DOWN!!!!!!

    hahahahahahaha

  • This film and "Christmas Vacation" are the two BEST "national lampoon's" films. Chevy Chase is amazing in both of them.

  • Agreed. Brinkley was nice and leggy then...WOW!!!

  • hahahahaha i like how he's chasing tail in the family truckster. oh man that thing is bouncing

  • I like how she was into him despite the truckster.

  • at 80 mph the Ferrari was prolly in second gear

  • What year is the ferrari from?

  • I'd wager between an '85 and an '87

the 328 was a great model

  • correction: movie came out in '83 so the ferrari's prolly brand new

  • @luckysod04

the movie was released in 1983...

  • I Guess is 1982, 'cause, it's a Ferrari Dino GTS.

  • the dvd has another song

  • yeah i think its a copyright thing

this is the prper song that was played

  • He adlibs in the movie at the end when he starts singing. He does the same thing in Fletch.

  • it just not right you know

  • That is my favorite scene of all time, I love it!

  • love the way the 'family truckster' bounces as it speeds up!!!

  • me too :) from what i remember about my old '88 taurus, that's how you know the shocks and suspension have just about had it xD

  • Chevy Chase what an actor

  • this is good scene...i like what it resembles

  • The absolutely, stunning knockout that is Christie Brinkley.........smokin!

  • hehe, love this scene!

  • the little boy sweet music is better with that scene

  • I agree, because Little boy Sweet was the original tune for this scene, I'm so excited just doesn't fit as well.

  • Sorry but I totally disagree with you.

In fact, I knew that song beacuse of this scene.

  • If you watch the DVD at this scene, the song "Little Boy Sweet" by June Pointer is playing. For some reason when they play it on TV they play "I'm So Excited".

  • @MeganRM85 yeah copywrite bullshit

  • I second that. I remember "I'm So Excited" being used in the TV version that aired on CBS in the fall of '87. I also remember it was on VHS back around '85 when it first became available in video rental stores.
