I've always wondered why people with beliefs like this resort to the f word right away? Why not a valid argument to support saving a bear? There are none...
Bears should be given a chance to live, but human lives take precedence. I know folks like this, they just need something to cry about. If a bear was in their backyard, the video would be protesting bears. There are a million more worthwhile activities compared to protesting. P
Sorry guys, human lives take precedent over animals. I'm not one of those "Destroy The Environment" people but I'm afraid I don't see anything done wrong here. It seems a little ridiculous you can shoot a bear in your backyard and go to jail but if you shoot a person in your backyard you can just say, "Well, I felt threatened" and get away with it. Seems weird to me. But full marks to them for supporting the cause they feel is right; I just don't feel the same way.
Amazing people from kids to seniors protested the killing of a bear cub in Clifton NJ. It's was a great feeling to be with people who respect animals and care about their welfare. A positive result from this protest is that the city officials of Clifton agreed to an invitation from activists to conduct seminars to train police and residents on co-exisiting with bears and alternative non-lethal methods that could have been implemented versus killing the bear cub.
A police officer shot a bear.
