  • Ironically, we'd all probably be better off if we hadn't invented that new modern smelting. Ecologically speaking.

    Also socially, in all honesty.

  • @Jcolinsol fuck off... thats a load of shit if you think about it with any level of seriousness. Oh you said... ecologically speaking well in that case who gives a shit. Socially speaking refer to my first sentence

  • @freewilly2fly

Well that's very sociable of you mister civilization-pants.

  • @Jcolinsol HAha well they are some if the nicest pants around =P

  • @Jcolinsol you're a fucking idiot

  • @InfiniteMonkeysSA

Argh, I disagree with you, therefor you must be stupid, and I'm going to express this in scatological terms so everyone knows how strongly I feel about me rightness. HRGGHHHH!!

  • @Jcolinsol Saying we'd have been better off if we hadn't invented bronze is so monumentally stupid that you'd probably just ignore reasonable arguments to the contrary, so I repeat, you're a fucking idiot.

  • @InfiniteMonkeysSA

Naw, I'm quite open minded, but if you want to discuss this, minus the impotent invective, I'd be quite happy to, over PM.

  • @Jcolinsol without bronze smelting you almost certainly wouldn't be able to watch such fantastic comedy on youtube...

  • @LlamaDub

That's true. It's a trade off for sure, computer technology, or a planet that isn't in it's death-throes, truly a difficult decision to make.

  • that's like when you play minecraft and you are at the stage in which you upgrade all your stone-items to iron-items.

  • Good sketch but...bronze never really replaced stone as bronze was stupidly expensive. Copper wasn't that rare but tin was. You couldn't use bronze for everyday items. Stone didn't get replaced until widespread use of iron. Iron was much more common but required more advanced technology.

  • @meanmanturbo someone doesnt understand comedy?

  • @JamesWilliams1990 Why, yes the sketch is funny. But when you consider how David Mitchell goes on ranting and raving about people being wrong I feel that my objection is valid;)

  • Well, bronze needs sharpening, with is slightly like chipping

  • One guy was a bronze user...

  • This is a funny and subtle but also deviously accurate portrayal of how technological advancement real works, in many respects.

  • Best of all it's slightly shiny. And- Bronze windows, lol.

  • This is how I feel when we upgrade software for some of the older guys in the office.

  • I love this bit. . . Because it's slightly shiny
