There is just nothing like Vintage racing. Just great stuff. The owners pay to race for nothing more than a small trophy at the end of the season. My local track (Pacific Raceways) has a Jackie Stewart Terrell that shows up on occasion and is generally the class of the field until a this Formula 5000 Lola made an appearance. If any of you folks have a local track find out if they do vintage and go and support them. See anything from a Bugeye Sprite to a an F-1 car and everything in between.
This video contains a 100% recommended daily allowance of awesome. Who wouldn't want to stand there and listen to those engines? It is like a motorized symphony orchestra.
Agreed. How can anyone complain about the sounds of a Ferrari v12 or a smallblock v8? If only I was so lucky to hear these cars every single morning by my house.
Elkart ake, home to Road America, one of, if not the finest race track in the US, knows how to host a motorports event. What a spectacular collection of race cars!
I was there. Of course, I work at Siebken's. The beginning of this video with the police siren reminds me of the firework accident, which occured 2 weeks earlier. That was an extremely scary night. I almost got hit from inside the sunpoarch.
