dude for a lot of realism try making what looks like a mortar shell and use a ping pong ball in the tip filled with bbs and stuff the back with bbs too. when it hits you will have 300 bbs blasting against a surface at one time. pus it looks really realistic. i use them for bunker busters especially if you make a good 10 of them

im pretty sure that you could get a higher projectile FPS if you increased your barrel length as your not using the full capacity of the chamber in accelerating the projectile.

no one said you had to kill them, just hurt them bad with the spread of the bbs. I also come up with a new ammo, a ping pong ball filled with bbs, i tried it already, and it sorta worked, now i just cut them in half and super glue the part i cut

It all depends on the size. The smaller pvc pipes like .5in pipes have a high psi rating of like 300 or maybe more. As you go up in size, the psi rating is less. I wouldn't trust the rating though. The psi rating is printed on the side of the pipe and i would minus about 200psi of of what the pipe says. Then you can be a little safe.

@RICEKING212 never go to that rating i would go about 30-40psi less than the weakest part is rated to like on mine with a .5in pvc ball valve it is rated to 150psi i would go only to 120psi and test the air tank of the gun with a air compressor when done with it before you fire it and if it works use it 20psi less than that make the air tank 3 times the size of the barrel like 2.5 in and reduce it down to like .50 in pvc you can put a lot down a half in barrel

the problem isn't the sight it's the moment of your arm to fire it. so try a electronic solenoid valve they use a switch so there is less movement and it will be more accurate.

Well any bike shops have them. You can just try to find a bike inner tube and just cut the nozzle out. That type of air nozzle is used for about 80% of pneumatic cannons and other projects, so they should be pretty easy to find.

This video is pretty old and i used my old pump. I have a pump with a psi meter on it, so i can measure how much psi is inside. You can also buy the meter separetly and just put it in the chamber. But if u dont want to get one, just pump a little at a time, until you are comfortable with how much air you have inside. So like, start at 10 pumps, then maybe 11 or 12 and work ur way up till you fell comfortable or until it starts leaking, thats where you should stop. But get the meter is you can.

Do you have a bike? Do you have a bike with a flat tire? Well you can get the nozzle out of a flat bike tire. Just cut it out. Or go to Target or Walmart and go to the bike section. You can buy a bike tire innertube and just cut out the nozzle.

Well, this is a hard one. I used both and they both work, but not great. The rubber on the nozzle isnt good at sticking to differnt types of glue. What is a really good idea is to completly take of the rubber on the nozzle. So all thats left is the part with threads on it and a small maybe 1 inch long metal tube. You'll se when you take all the rubber off. Then with just the metal piece you could jb weld it. Jb weld isnt good on pvc, but its good enought. It would be an even better idea...

...idea if you used a metal endcap. Then drill a hole in the metal endcap (kinda hard, but its easy once you found the right drill bit) and jb weld the nozzle in. jb weld grips well to metal on metal contacts.

Well, it took me awhile to find the right stuff of the shell. Its just pipe insulation. You can get it almost anywhere with a hardware section. Then I just cut the insulation in half. Taped the bottom and i was done. Pretty simple.

Well, the sprinkler valve i got was defective. Sprinkler valves release pressure much fast, but are a little harder to assemble. Ball valves dont release as fast but are easier all around. A 1" vavle is as big as a 1" valve, lol.

No, when you use a sprinkler valve, u have to drill a hole in it. So you can return it. And thats why its harder. You have to drill a big hole in it, then screw in a blowgun valve into it, and make sure it doesn't leak. It can become a pain. Just look up sprinkler valve for pneumatic cannons or somethin like that. The have instructions. Well u dont want to go over 150psi maybe. With pvc, its never a good idea to go over 120psi or so. Ball valves are easy. Glue it in, turn the valve, simple.

Ya, its much easier. And soon, im going to make a CO2 compact launcher. You just drop in a 12gram co2 powerlet into a small compartment. Then twist the endcap to puncture the co2. The co2 collects in the chamber, then a ball valve releashes pressure into barrel. Really simple. Its made out of metal piping because the pressure can be between 700-200psi depending on the size of the chamber. Ill make it in a few weeks.

if you use a sprinkler valve you don't have to have sutch a big compression chamber and it vill be about 10 times more powerful. using a ball valve it does not go as fast because it opens so slow, sprinkler or plunger is almost instantanious.

my cousin and I made a mortar for airsoft. Basically the same consept but ours was smaller. We were able to launch the bag of bbs over my two story home about 200 feet away. Plus it was made so that the bag would open mid air and the bbs would go everywhere. Was pretty awsome.
