  • Everything was going well until you tossed the extra garlic/peppers away, and put fries on the plate. You should have kept the vegetables, and perhaps chosen something healthier than fries.

    You should also experiment with seasonings with more zing. Try turmeric, red pepper, cumin, and other Indian spices to pat into the steak. That will add a new dimension.

  • I "L" word this this thank you I am literally heading over to buy some steaks and a couple of veggies to cook myself some dinner, i really like videos like these because i live alone so i have to cook single meals for myself and i am really tired of eating sandwiches all the time, i am not the best cook but definitely learning more and more each day.   • I love those american cuts of meat.. here in brazil is so confusing! :S I've just got 4 nice 'rib steaks' in the market and I'm having trouble to find out wich meat is it.. the bone is T shaped, so I thought it could be a T-bone haha I hate those stupid labels around here. Should I strip the meat out of both sides of the bone or pan fry it one-piece? Or maybe finish in the oven... ?? I dont know! Its a 1lb piece I would say.

  • a tad too much olive oil and seems like heat needs to be higher to form a better crust on the steak. also dont fill the pan too much with accessories because you take the heat from the steak and may over kill. oh and never use a fork, once you pierce the steak, the juices go running out..... either way the steak looks pretty yummy!!!

  • It couldn't of came out any better! No steak sauce needed on them. I served my wife a plate in bed! She had a surgery today & no better medicine than a pound of KC Strip with a glass of wine!

  • Now that looks gorgeous! Perfectly medium rare. And I love how you cooked the jalapenos, onions, and garlic in the pan (I am not a rosemary fan, though). But I definitely would have spooned the veggie mixture on top of the steak and ate it.

    One question: this was LUNCH??? Damn, what was for dinner, a side of beef ? Just busting your lamb chops - I have a healthy appetite too (my cholesterol, that's another story).

  • Tried this with a fresh jalapeno, onion, garlic and a rosemary sprig from my garden. Turned out excellent! though I had to substitute Goya Adobo for the Lawry's... have to find some Lawry's. Many thanks for posting this.

  • Is strip steak tender? I have tried to pan fry steaks and it always comes out tough. Maybe I have been buying the wrong cut of beef.

  • Yep - but it really depends on the type of beef. I like choice beef with a fair amount of marbling (strains of fat in the meet). It helps make it tender.
