@fromtherye AK-47's are always 7.62. If you see an AK style rifle in 5.45 it'll probably be labeled AK-74, or AK-101, or possibly in the future an AK-12.
The WASR 10/63 UF the only problem i have found is that it will not take the plastic Tapco mags meening it will not feed with them.. But with the military surplus mags the WASR feeds 100% of the time. Any body else have problems with the plastic mags ?
@whitetiger88101 thats odd... i have some of those tapco mags and they work fine. a little tight at first, kinda "high school tight" . But after a few times the mags get worn down a little and fit just fine on my 10/63. Make sure the follower is not sticking, try loading 5 or less and see if it works...
Mine came with a threaded barrel and side scope mount. I tried to trade it and got a bunch of "I can one of those for $250-300 from .." My WASR functions great, mags fit tightly, it's good weapon.
@RECONDO101st they are full of it,Wasar10 aks have come up to $450 to even $600 at some shops. From places like J&G guns sale they go for cheaper,BUT,you need to include the $25-40 dollar shipping rate plus the FFL transfer 20-40 bux or so,plus 8-9% sales tax.etc. So IF even at the 300 bucks they claim they can get one for, winds up being $450 or so and that would be a rock bottom price IMHO these days.Anyway wasars are good rifles and the people that put them down are just uninformed and biased
@PublicFilthSpeeks There are "videos" in here of the "bad" ones.I've never actually seen one but it seems like EVERYBODY that wants an AK wants to pound on the WASR 10s, give em all to me. I'll take everyone of them !
@redskins3656 I've had only ONE problem with mine, the trigger wouldn't engage. But other than that, I LOVE IT AND MISS IT DEARLY SINCE I LIVE ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS!!!!!
@RECONDO101st Yes! I have a WASR-10 and had only ONE problem with it and that problem was that the trigger would disengage after a certain amount of trigger pulls. But I got it back a few days ago and have a video of me with it on my channel.
@PublicFilthSpeeks My theory is because they never clean their weapons. The AK is rugged, yes, but you still have to clean it. A clean weapon is more accurate and more reliable than one that isn't. The problem with ARs is the Direct Impingement system it has. This bled gas straight from the barrel into the action, pushing the bolt back. The gases also carried small, dissolved particles of gun powder. This made get dirtier, faster. Imagine if the AR 15 used a short-stroke piston like the HK416!:)
@PublicFilthSpeeks Or... you can take a nice little road trip to Prescott, AZ to buy one from J&G Sales :) Wonderful little town right on the Rim Country. Yes, you won't save any cash but you get a nice little vacation out of it. I live in Phoenix and still head up there if I need to buy any ammo or such and have a little time.
@neothespian I hear that... I Wish had a J&G By me. Im outta Nevada so its not to far, to go. But we have a lotta good shops locally here that will order for me for $25 transfer. My damn truck would take up 200 bucks in gas for that adventure. but It would be nice to check out J&G.
I see a slant brake, but is your bayo lug intact? I got a post-ban CAI WASR, bottom of the barrel, but runs great. It almost looks to me like CA gun laws shredded a good pre-ban AK.
@clydethekiller it is an implement in california that protects law abiding citizens from dangerous firearms such as assult weapons. it essentaillly makes the magazine non removable unless you have a tool to remove the magazine. a bullet can be considered as such a tool and therefore is used to remove the magazine from the firearm.
On the DOJ website you can find all the info you need on open carry laws as well as the laws stating magazines greater than 10 rounds in California are able to be owned and carried and used by a normal citizen. The restriction is the sale of such magazines by any person without a DOJ letter that states that individule or company can sell them, for pistol or rifle. I have had had the unfortune to actually have my extended mags taken by the local Police. And they returned them within the hour.
It seems like a bunch of people don't realize that the "dust cover" is just that. A flimsy piece of stamped steel that is primarily for keeping dust and debris out of the action of the rifle. The recoil spring and retainer prevent the bolt from coming out. Thank god for all the safety police.
Your stupid, Irresponsible shooting and unsafe to everyone around you. your cover prevents the bolt from flying off the track. and into your face. Ive seen it happen before, your just lucky it didnt happen to you. Idiots.
@grimakastatik strange...ive shot over 100 rounds with my dust cover off and not a single problem :O and so have thousands of other people. your thinking of an sks.
@GUNS4MIKE1234 Yeah, I didn't even see that the first time through... but when you look, it doesn't return all the way forward and you can see the ground on the other side through a little hole. Maybe it was a little dirty (understandable for a day at the range with plenty of rounds through) and chambered maybe a quarter inch short? If that's the case, it's another testament to the weapon's reliability... or is it?
@kommando92 Cali laws must really suck. Beautiful place, though. People like you and I try to get guns their and those commies step in and tell us we can't have rifles with pistol grips or thumbhole stocks, hi-cap mags, and short barrels. But they probably revised this law since I left, idk, not a legislator.
@bigmanwithagun12 yes and the thing is the 2nd amendment says the right to bear arms shall NOT be infringed. so by that statement it is unconstitutional to have any restriction or legislation passed against them.
Just do you all know, the dust cover in an AK is held in place by the recoil spring. This means if the rifle did malfunction and somehow the recoil spring moved forward and then out of its place to strike him in the face, it wouldn't matter if the dust cover was on or not since the dust cover would just go flying WITH the spring and everything else.
@ak74srthebest0909 This guy was probably like hay what does my AK look like when all the parts are working inside?. There are other videos of people shooting AK's with the dust cover off but they are not shooting it with there face anywhere neer the rifle.

take an advise from a military man. he`s position is incorect, that leads to a poor balance, thus bigger recoil damage on your aiming
