  • Totally amazing! When I saw your video I was hoping you did not get injuries, and then I read you have. I'm sorry to hear that and will keep you in my prayers. It must really hurt not being able to do the thing you love, but you certainly have the drive to get back at it, and I could relate. Your martial arts movements were like butter and smooth as silk. You are one disciplined dude. It's great seeing and reading how you cherish life.

  • @rbt4rbt Wow thanks, that means a lot from someone as skilled and experienced as you are. I mean while I also can't wait to get back to my real martial arts training, this is definitely what I love doing for fun as it makes me feel alive. So yes, it is painful sitting on my ass all day but I know I'll be better in no time so I can be patient. Doc says I'll be good as new in February. Gotta take the risks with the fun.

    Thanks for subscribing too!

  • @DamienZshadow I have one skill I enjoy and cherish, and that is to observe the skills in others. At times I don't open my eyes enough, at other times I'm not lookng hard enough or long enough, but when I zero in, it's quite a show. The greatest show on earth. Even such patience is a show.

That is great news to all of us that the doctor sees February. Not far away at all.

  • @rbt4rbt Heh, no much longer now but I've been waiting a whole year so far. I was injured in January and got the surgery in June so it's been a long time waiting.

  • Oh hey there. What's the name of the song? Is it just Soul, or is there more to the name?

  • sad to hear bro i think you should change sport and stop injury you knee, when you will be older meybe you will feel it much more :( i torn my acl 2 times too but i changed tricking for boxing and now i feel really good

  • @Norfeusz1989 I will not be chained down by fear, I will overcome this and become stronger and smarter. The sensation I get and the discipline training instills me with is far more valuable to me than any form of security or comfort. If I have to live my elder years in pain, it will be a sacrifice that I paid to earn these priceless tricks. Besides, you saw the vid, I just landed my first corkscrew 5 minutes before the injury. I have some unfinished business...

  • @Norfeusz1989 Still I appreciate the concern. I also train in mixed martial arts, gymnastics, and parkour. If I do something else like boxing, it will be an addition to what I do, not a replacement. Nothing can ever replace tricking for me. It gives my body reason and purpose, I won't waste this one life I have regretting tricks I could have gone for.

  • @DamienZshadow

man same it really changed me i still love tricking i still want but i know if i start i will be injury, it hurts inside but cant have all :P sorry for my english

  • @Norfeusz1989 No it's cool. Thank you for the advise and I'm really sorry for the injuries you have. Thankfully I am still recovering and so far there is no pain but I am trying to be very careful now still. I don't think I'll be trying a sideswipe anytime soon (since that's how I tore it) lol

  • Cool, I really appreciate it Kou. ^o^

  • Really awesome tricks! I especially liked the last one ^^;

  • @XLukeR8 Thanks, I had been trying to land that trick for three years. It's called a corkscrew, I hope I still can do it when my knee is all better.

  • @DamienZshadow Anytime, and I know you can do it! You think you can teach that to me sometime?

  • @XLukeR8 Once my leg heals I'd be happy to practice with you.

  • You are soooooo fucking hot :D

  • @electronicoffee Once again, thanks a lot dude ^^;

  • Pretty fudging badass.

  • I know you're passionate about this & you're still a motivator of mine in this arena. This vid made me remember that I had a dream last night about dancing & pondering if I should do a b-twist or not. The little things let me know that I do/did enjoy this w/ you & Leanne, especially after seeing Jim just sitting there after you did a fsckin' cork. x_x

Here's to your full recovery again. =]

  • @RamuneAmai lol yea what's up with him!? It was my FIRST CORKSCREW dammit! XD He's such a space cadet sometimes...

Anyway, you're always going to be a part of the team. Long live TEAM KAKUMEI!!!

  • @RamuneAmai And thank you :D

  • @DamienZshadow How's the rehab going dude? Would you recommend the operation to someone with similar injuries? I heard from Joe Rogan that his knee is actually stronger because they replaced the acl with part of an achilles tendon from a cadaver.

  • @unshutoptic1 Well first I need to ask you, how old are you, how did you hurt it, and how badly do you want to return to doing whatever it is you do. I tore my first ACL in the left leg about two years ago in a sparing match and tore this one in my right from the clip in this video. Both surgeries are holding up well and because of my young age and healthy lifestyle of never drinking/smoking I got a graph from my patella tendon (knee cap) to replace both of them. Rehab is slow but successful.

  • @DamienZshadow I'm 32 and I injured my knee when I was 18. Over the years I kept reinjuring it and I just kind of took what I learned at massage school and physical rehab books and slowly got myself back to doing the stuff I love.

After years of no incidents, I reinjured it again about 9 months ago while dancing, of all things! Man that made me mad. But I pretty good now, but I realize that I can mess myself up again if I'm not careful. I had to cut down on the spin-kicks ya kno.

  • @unshutoptic1 You may have done a lot more damage to your knee than I have. Go to a doctor, get an MRI and an X-Ray. It's the only way to be certain what's going on in there but I can only imagine that you did tear your ACL. Doctors told me I'll be fine and physical therapy can teach me how to live without it but I won't be able to train in martial arts, gymnastics, or dance again so I went ahead and got both surgeries. At your age, they may do a cadaver's Achilles tendon to replace your ACLs.

  • @DamienZshadow Thanks for the feedback Man.

  • @unshutoptic1 Yea, I hope you didn't misunderstand. They said I won't be able to be athletic if I didn't get the surgery, but I'll live an otherwise normal life. So I got the surgery and it seems like I'll be back to 100%. In fact, since I got my left ACL done two years ago and I'm rehabbing my right one now, my left leg has been doing great taking care of me. It's been as strong as ever, like nothing happened.

  • @DamienZshadow lol..yeah. I did respond too fast on that one. A second after I hit the post button I realized what you were saying. So I think I made up my mind. I have to get the surgery done because if I'm gonna join my local MMA gym, someone might rip off my leg with minimal effort...Hell. I might fuck my own shit up if I'm not careful. lol

    Take it easy dude...

  • @unshutoptic1 Actually I know someone who once tore his ACL from throwing a punch and pivoting so hard he tore it himself. You don't need someone else to tear it. Just see an orthopedist and take care of it.

Thank you, I'm getting better every time. I'll hopefully be putting up a video on weapons by the end of the month at least.

  • I hope you recover soon and that the surgery goes well :3 Love your videos <3

  • @Verleed Thank you very much! I bounced back pretty fast from my last ACL repair (left knee) and I have the same surgeon so I'm hoping for another fast recovery.

  • I think all your videos are sick, and you deserve more attention. Huge fan :P (I landed my first backflip today, pretty stoked all of a sudden. and amazing music

  • @Uron350 Haha wow I'm really flattered! I don't think I deserve more than the 100 viewers who give me the time of day to watch my work but I still appreciate all the input and compliments.

But hey, congrats on the backflip! You should definitely upload it and I'll upload a clip of my very first backflip too. I was so psyched when I did it so I know you must be too since that's what this is all about. Living life and loving it!
