The whistle echoing through the valley is my favorite part. Now that really makes it feel like the old days, and so does that haunting echo. Amazing footage, simply amazing.
@foroke1 Yea I uploaded this years ago, before youtube saved in higher resolutions. I should upload it again, and since I can upload a video longer than 10 minutes now, show the 'expanded' edition.
@ebt15 And it darn well could be, and both railroads would probably be receptive to it. I believe both railroads are narrow gauge? Would be quite a sight and experience to lay track the old way between those two towns, could bring back the passenger trains too.
@strokedmustang66 I want to see the 41 out here running that would be cool I wish we could see an RGS engine restored and running again and not the cosmetic dressup they did on 463
Thanks, and yea, the sound just isn't the same...my camcorder records in stereo, but I don't have the software to compress the video just enough to keep both the sound and decent video quality in flash format that youtube won't compress further. Gotta work on that...

Now that's the way to sublimate the forces of gravity and inertia!
What a lovely little "loudmouth" the 315 is.
You did her (and her restorers') justice with your footage.

What the video lacks in quality. Makes up for with beautiful sound and great shots.

Sorry I wasn't clear...it traveled by truck. Would be really cool if Chama and Durango were still connected.

@ebt15 If only if only.... At least much of the ROW still remains untouched. Maybe someday....
