Of course it's fake!!!!! Anyonewith eyes can see from just the video footage alone, most parts of the clip are playing on a repeat/reverse loop. And many bits have his feet at the same part of the keys, not matching anywhere near the notes that are actually being played at the time. Plus bits are speeded up.

This wonderfully determined young man does play piano - and by itself it is absolutely amazing!! However, the audio track of this video is not what he plays. In this sense only, this video is a "fake". We can see how it is sped up to (sort of) match the speed of the notes that appear in audio track, in a brilliant performance by Horowitz. This video is a poor prank, because this young man deserves to be recognized for exactly what he does, which is outstanding in its own way.

The different Camera motions show you 2 different speeds of shooting this video. How low would they go? the camera is doing a regular motion and when the feet are seen sudddenly its a hectic movement. @AsnSuu ... it is hard to judge the video for several reasons: 1> Most you tube videos are out of timing, especially fast fingers are also very hard to see on the videos, 2. depending on the upload, the timing could be often not synchronized, with the video, 3. it is not a good view to see his toes in action.

The only way it could be judged if anyone actually stands there next to him when playing slow and fast passages, but I believe this is his real playing. Check Georges Cziffra doing it ...

@themaclover4ever The Flight of the Bumble Bee was written by RIMSKY-KORSAKOV ... it is possible that it was also transcribed by Vladimir Horovitz, but that means that anyone can play his transcription. Still can not clearly see from the video if it was played by Liu Wei, but very possibly it was. Imagine, what a flop it could be to the judges, if not so. Liu plays the piano quiet well and the Horowitz transcription is somewhat possible to be played by most intermediate students. Not Cziffra's.
