oh hey, have you ever noticed how you hear the song before it starts when you listen to vinyl?

The pre-echo is caused by the margin control not being set properly by the mastering engineer. Just the slight pre-echo is acceptable, BUT could be entirely avoided if the engineer added slightly more space between the grooves at the beginning of the track.
