u flick the coin up and catch it in the hand with the pen in as seen on the vidio it takes a lot of practice but is well worth the effort

The hand holding the coin "pops" the coin into the air, (jerk your bicep sharply upward), and the hand holding the pen comes down and intercepts the coin (so it doesn't hit the ceiling lol). Practice often, watch the vid (especially the slow motion part) as often as it takes, and good luck!
