I'm trying to learn about this issue. It's very hard. Both sides here don't offer much in the way of evidence. I'd think that if either of you really cared, you'd simply posts the FACTS and let them stand for themselves.

Also, do any of you KNOW the people you are against. I do know some of them and your comments are way off base. You all, both sides should really just talk to each other - unless you already know you are not telling the truth. Then I guess there would be no point.

We did tell the truth and the bill was voted on. There were 5 votes in favor of the bill out of 40 State Senators.

You can't take the rights away from Americans. We fought HSUS and the animals rights folks to preserve our rights and the constitution of the United States of America..

Oh yeah..In CA 75% of dog owners already voluntarily spay/neuter their dogs and 90% of cats owners spay/neuter their cats. There really aren't that many Unaltered animals (that were pets) running around because the 15% of unaltered dogs are show,service, and working dogs and the 10% of unaltered cats are breeding cats.

Breeders are not the problem with this bill. This bill is based on false information about pet population and passed off as a quick fix to shelter overcrowding. There is no population problem. There are shelter management problems engaged in killing animals.

I am a licensed breeder and exhibitor of purebreds and I spend more money trying to better the breeds that I show than I do making money! After spending at least $7,000 dollars per litter on stud fees, vet bills, Health tests, and shows to ensure that people are getting the Healthy champion bloodlines that people want, and only selling them for $600-$800 a piece I am out about 3 grand! I breed to better the breed.

the IRS has said to me that they have study this Myth that Dog and cat breeder make money and they have the best lose $4000 or more in every breeding as it take more money then they make from the sale of a litter of dog or cats . this from looking the tax records of Breeder across the state and the who US. the Local tax board agrees as well.. the puppy mills are the one to blame.

The shelters' own data clearly demonstrate that shelter populations have declined steadily. In fact shelters now IMPORT puppies and dogs so they have pets available for adoption.

I spoke to the IRS and they said to REPORT NON-TAX PAYING BREEDERS (also, those without business licenses) by submiting this online form (Form 3949A) from their website under forms and publications. Also you can call and report tax cheats by calling 800 829-0433

Here's some truth. Euthanasia rates will equal a reduction in Animal Control costs is the claim of Levine & Co. BUT if that were true, why haven't AC costs gone down over the past 30, 20, even 10 years? Rates are down, costs are up. So explain to me again who's lying here?
